Hello and welcome!

Wow, that staff is really impressive for first creation! Great job on design and material mapping, i absolutely love that purple goo (slime?) dripping down from ribs!

Even though im quite fond of it, there are few things that prevent me from approving the staff. First, please make sure your staff follows all guidelines from the guide.

You can easily check possible technical side in Troxel with Lint and Export button. Chose type of style and click on it, that will highlight any issues if there are any.

Staves dont have to be full length (still preferable to be near it, else auras would look off), but the full model has to fit in dimensions around the Attachment point. Plus there should be free space around it for arms to move. With the current design 'arm' part would go right through the spine, that could look seriously bad with some animations/classes.

If you have to keep elements like that its usually better to rotate them to the side, so spikes on the spine would point outwards instead of upwards.

Image to illustrate the size, black stick on top and its box is meant as possible dimensions.

Another thing though, there are a whole lot of skeleton-related staff designs in game already, closest one i was able to find is Restless Raiser, so i would need to ask you to look for some fresh and exiting idea instead. Sadly no matter how well something is made, i still need to look for possible duplicates and do my best to make sure only unique creations get approved.

Im going to set status of this one to Active, but you could change it to Draft if you d wish to free up a slot for some other design.

Seriously hoping to see more creations from you!

Sorry for the delay.

Good job on the helmet, looks very knight-ish! I like the unusual shape and overall design, it makes your helmet stand out nicely from default knight class helmets :)

I think with a bit more love it could really shine!

My biggest concern at the moment are all those spikey separated voxels placed in diagonals, they look quite disconnected and messy, both gold and white. Some of them are corner-connected too, and that is not something i would be allowed to approve.

It could be really good if you bulked up that sharp front part a bit, Trove style is mostly square. This guide could be helpful on the matter: https://trovesaurus.com/page=3976/trove-style-guidelines-for-trove-creations

I see you did some shading too, very nice! Shadows really do add depth and volume to models. May be if 'visor' part was noticeably brighter than the rest of the helmet it would look even nicer? Also, gold outline could use some darker bits/highlights as well.

Another thing, its best to keep all the holes in the model filled. At the moment bottom of the chin is far from being flat and tidy and golden ribbon has a gap around the neck.

Last but not least, since knight helmets are usually metal, i think it could be good to use some Material maps on this one. Metal for white and Iridescent for gold bits may be?

I made a quick edit based on your model and suggestions above, its far from perfect and only meant to hopefully give you a direction/inspiration for improvements :) Left is your design with troublesome bits highlighted, right is my edited version, with less spikes and bulkier parts. I do think shading can be done better and im not proud of the top i did either, but im sure you can make a much better one!

From any voxel editor you export file and its material maps as .qb files. Blueprints are Trove-specific file format, so when you have those qb files, use devtool_dungeon_QB_to_blueprint.bat found in your Trove/Live folder. Images and more details can be found in Step 4 of the guide i linked in previous comment :P

Hello again.

Glad to see exit portals, now players wont get stuck for sure :) Good job on trimming decorations, it seems to stay within orange borders for now.

You kept floors made out from decorations though, i get it it creates a nice effect, but it is still not something that i would be allowed to accept. Players with slower PCs and Console players could suffer a great deal trying to rush through dungeons like that.

About variety, both entrances look quite alike, gameplay rooms seem to have noticeable difference only in wall color and same goes for boss rooms. Variations are needed to make dungeons feel less repetitive, not for spot-a-difference game.

All your boss rooms dont have a roof, and all your gameplay rooms are entered through a portal, that means a portal can be in any place in gameplay room, and drop down to boss room can also be in any place, it doesnt have to be a straight corridor in all cases.

 

Im afraid if i approve it the way it is, it will get set back by Devs again. It seems to be correct from technical side for now, but design and visuals still need some more work. Dungeons are very important gameplay element of the game, so they do need to be of top quality.

This is a very nice and clean sword design i like the color choices too!

Unfortunately, there are over 900 melee weapons in Trove, and quite some of them are swords with crimson blade. Creating a new sword design can be really challenging now, and for a melee style to get accepted nowadays it has to be exceptional and extraordinary. Going for less used melee weapon types like axe or hammer could do it some good :)

Another thing, the game is family-friendly so we cant have any display of blood or other things that could be considered 'gore'.

Going to set status of your creation to Active for now, set it back to Review if you upload new version. If you would rather create something completely different, you could set status to Draft, that will remove creation from list of Active ones and will free up a slot for other creation.

Sorry for the delay.

Spear looks very nice, i love the way blade is made, quite an unusual and promising design :D Overall, this is very well made spear for the first attempt, good job!

For the shaft and the pommel though, a simplistic spear with wooden shaft and red ribbon was recently approved and was already added to Pts server couple of weeks ago (this one > https://trovesaurus.com/creation=89/glaive-of-the-spire , same name in game) I think it would be best to make sure your design is as unique as it can be. May be some other wood color/pattern would do?

About coloring, it is better to avoid repeated 1 dark - 1 light voxel coloration, while it looks alright on the model, in game it would look too busy. Also, its good to have some colors to spice-up the looks, but at the moment there are blue and green sparks only in the pommel, without being seen anywhere else they feel somewhat out of place.

You might also want to use some Material Maps, to add some shine to metal parts.

Last but not least, it is also required to have in-game screenshot or two of your creation being used by appropriate class, please add those before sending it to review again :)

Hello!

Good to see the dungeon being worked on!

As for photos, i see you want to keep them for history, but may be you could trim them just a little bit? Its getting hard to navigate through them.

About the dungeon, i very much like the changes, layout looks straight-forward and easy to follow. All parts work together, thats great too!

For technical side, there dont seem to be any exit portals in boss rooms, how are players going to get out?

Also, you are using extreme amount of decorations. This is not a good thing. If you use /debugtext command (/debug_text on pts) you could see that Voxel count of your dungeon is over the roof. Green voxel count (Elements) is good, orange is acceptable and red needs to be fixed. More decorations/traps/floating blocks you have >> higher is the Voxel count.

Please make sure you dungeon does not have floors or walls or ceilings made entirely out of decorations. I mostly mean gameplay rooms.

Please avoid using things that are not meant to be accessed in the game mode. Big Geodian crystals from the Geode caves can usually only be revealed with Thumper, and that is something players do not have on Geode Topside.

I have to set it back to Active for now, sorry.
