Preview: png" border="0" alt="" /> Candy Corn, Pumpkin Lairs and mostly Shadowy Seal Show
Candy Corn, Pumpkin Lairs and mostly Shadowy Seals are here from October 22nd (2PM UTC+2/5AM UTC-7), to November 5th! Trove's got you covered for the best Halloween experience you could wish for.
Hub
- The Hub decoration is one of the best memories one might have from Shadow's Eve previous editions. The 2019 Edition will keep up with the tradition.
Shadow's Eve
NOTE: A small bug will be visible to players for a few hours prior to the event: the new mount recipe will be asking for 2018 tokens instead of 2019 tokens. This will be fixed during Shadow's Eve release day.
- The 2019 Shadow's Eve Edition has an 8 Adventure chain where players will be awarded one 2019 Shadowy Seal for each step completed.
- Login Rewards adventures are given each day to provide mechanical rewards, but Shadowy Seals are not granted as Login Rewards.
- There are three new daily Event Adventures specific to Shadow’s Eve. They can each be completed once per day and reward one Shadowy Seal plus adventure XP upon completion. The NPCs that grant these Adventures can be found in the Trove Hub outside the Pumpkin House.
- On the Shadowy Station, players can craft two event rewards using the 2019 Shadowy Seals. For 10 Seals they can craft the Ethereal Explorer and for 25 Seals they can craft Flop the Pantolphin. They can also craft previous years content for 5/10 seals each.
- In case you have too many event tokens, an Event Lootbox that costs 1 Shadowy Seal (2018 or 2019) can be crafted. The Lootbox contains mechanical rewards only and is meant as a way for players to use up any extra Seals.
- Pumpkin Lairs that appear in any biome have returned too and drop Candy Corn, which can be used to craft Nightmare Mystery Boxes and various collections at the Shadowy Station in the Trove Hub.
- The Colossal Chiropteran and the Uncanny Coffin can be crafted directly from the Shadowy Station.
- When completing a 1-Star Dungeon, Todstrom has a chance to appear instead of a chest. Defeat him for an extra “treat” – Candy Corn and a rare chance at a Mobile Mummy mount.
- At the end of the event all 2018 and 2019 Shadow Seals will be removed from player’s inventories, along with other old event currencies, so be sure to use all your remaining currencies.

- Vegetables - Vegetable plants like Qubbage, Unicorn Chard, and Totter Tates contain vegetables when harvested.

- A Ridable Bobble Pod mount can rarely drop for the thrower of a Bobble Pod. This 0 mastery mount is immobile, because no one wants to reenact Day of the Triffids.

- Most plants require 4 hours to sprout before they can be watered.
- Once sprouted, a plant can be watered.
- Once fully watered, a plant can be harvested.
- Once harvested or watered, a plant cannot be watered again until it's ready. Depending on the plant, this may be 1, 2, or 3 days later. Regardless of what time they were planted, they will always become ready at 11 AM PT.

- Kahramet, Warden of the Fields has been attracted to Trove by the new growth in gardening. This new dragon can be crafted at the Dragon Crucible using Blossoming Dragon Egg fragments. She can also be obtained using a dragon effigy or through a golden egg inside of greater dragon caches.
- Blossoming Dragon Egg fragments can be found inside of Bobble Pods. They can also be composted for Quality Organic Refuse.
- Moonlight bulbs can now be found all over Trove and Geode. These bulbs concentrate the power of the moon goddess into a harvestable resource. But watch out, the moon goddess doesn't take kindly to these falling into the hands of Trovians and will remove them from your bags when you go offline for more than an hour.

Gardening
- Gardening now goes to 300 (Horticulturist)!
- The Gardening bench has been renamed to the Antiquated Gardening Bench. A new Gardening Bench can now be crafted at the builders crafting bench.
- The requirements for the original gardening recipes have also been shuffled.
- Unripe Compost Heap has been renamed to Unripe Fertilizer Heap to reduce confusion.
- New types of plants have been added to Gardening at Gardener level and above:
- Vegetables – Vegetable plants like Qubbage, Unicorn Chard, and Totter Tates contain vegetables when harvested.
- Vegetables can be washed at the Vegetable Sink to become food or used in other recipes.
- Prized decorative vegetables or bomb skins can be found rarely when harvesting Vegetables. These decorative vegetables can also be crafted at the Harvesting Bench.
- Alchemy Plants – Alchemy plants contain crafting materials when harvested.
- Alchemy plant recipes can be found in Bobble Pods and when opening compost heaps.
- Alchemy plant seeds can be crafted with gardening (once learnt) or found rarely when throwing Bobble pods or opening compost heaps.
- Alchemy plant seeds and recipes can be composted for a fraction of the materials that would be gained from harvesting the plant.
- Bobble Pods can rarely be found when breaking grass or harvesting Vegetables and Alchemy Plants. Bobble Pods are a new kind of pinata that, when thrown, grow in to a blastflower – pop them to receive rewards like Alchemy Plant recipes, seeds, and Golden Watering Cans.
- A Ridable Bobble Pod mount can rarely drop for the thrower of a Bobble Pod. This 0 mastery mount is immobile, because no one wants to reenact Day of the Triffids.
- These new Vegetable and Alchemy plants require watering and time to grow.
- After being watered, plants will require some time to soak it all up before they can accept more water or become harvestable.
- Different plants require different amounts of water before becoming harvestable – for example, Corn on the Qube plants require 4 units of water, while Qumato plants require 1 unit of water.
- There are also different kinds of watering cans:
- Watering Can – this consumable watering can grants 1 unit of water to nearby plants. Craftable at Gardener Gardening Skill.
- Everlasting Water Can – this watering can is not consumable and grants 1 unit of water to nearby plants. Craftable at Hordiculturist Gardening Skill.
- Golden Watering Can – this consumable watering can completely fills the watering requirements for nearby plants. Can be found inside Bobble Pods.
Harvesting Bench
- The Harvesting Bench can be crafted at the Gardener level of Gardening from the Gardening Bench or the Builder’s Crafting Bench.
- Gardener Gardening Skill is required to interact with the Harvesting Bench.
- The Harvesting Bench can be used to craft various kinds of Compost, Ally Homes, Mounts, Decorative Plants, Farm Decorations, VFX Blocks, and Frameworks.
- Rich Fertilizer, Fertile Ash, and Plasmic Solution are also craftable at the Harvesting Bench.
- Compost Heaps from the Harvesting Bench are a great way to get Concentrated Compost, Moonlight Temper, and Cookie Musk.
- Ally Homes are a way to acquire new allies – each home can attract a normal or rare version of the specific ally associated with that home. Ally Homes require Horticulturist (300) to craft and to harvest.
- Flowerbed Faerie Habitat – attracts Flowerbed Faerie and (rarely) Flowerbed Countess
- Purple Glowbug Habitat – attracts Purple Glowfly and (rarely) Brilliant Glowfly
- Yzzuli’s Drone Habitat – attracts Yzzuli’s Drone and (rarely) Yzzuli’s Queen
- Appleshell Snail Habitat – attracts Appleshell Snail and (rarely) Sourshell Snail
- Ally Homes must be planted in Club Worlds, but the allies believe in sharing – the ally will be available for anyone in the club with Horticulturist skill.
Compost
- The Compost Bin can be crafted at the Gardener level of Gardening from the Gardening Bench or the Builder’s Crafting Bench.
- The Compost Bin can be used to craft Organic Refuse from unwanted crafting materials and non-pvp trophies. Prized vegetables may also be composted.
- Right-click on items in the Compost Bin to select how much of the stack to compost.
- Gardener Gardening Skill is required to interact with the Compost Bin.
- Gardening recipes can be composted in order to give some of the materials granted by the plants. They can also be deconstructed for blank scrolls, but are locked by default.
- Items Composted is now a metric than can be viewed by typing /stats.
Food
- Create edible versions of plants by washing them at the Vegetable Sink!
- The Vegetable Sink can be crafted at the Gardener level of Gardening from the Gardening Bench or the Builder’s Crafting Bench.
- Gardener Gardening Skill is required to interact with the Vegetable Sink.
- A Food slot has been added to the character sheet next to Flasks and Emblems.
- Food can be equipped to grant small buffs.
- Food decays over time – a stack can be equipped, and each piece will last for a certain amount of time before decaying.
- Once a piece of food has been equipped, it cannot be unequipped – that’s just gross!
Badges
- A new set of badges are available for Gardening – earn badges for Harvesting, Watering Plants, and Composting. There’s also an additional badge for collecting all of the Alchemy Plant Seed recipes.
- Each badge will reward the player with Bobble Pods, Instagrowers, Cubits, and sometimes something extra.
- The Obsidian Harvesting Badge grants the Green Thumbzilla Ally to help harvest plants.
- The Obsidian Watering Plants Badge grants the Botanic Floralfin Mount to help water plants.
Store
- The Sweet Sixteen Pack has been added to the store. This pack grants all of the sixteen currently available classes in Trove – or receive a Credit Pouch for any class already owned before purchasing. Get extra rewards for extra effort!
- The Cultivated Collection Pack has also been added to the store. This pack grants the Seed Sower mount, Mechanized Hydration Tractor mount, Horticultural Harvest mount, 25 Bobble Pods and 25 Golden Watering Cans (non-tradeable) to help every harvest win the blue ribbon.
- The Seed Sower mount, Mechanized Hydration Tractor mount, and Horticultural Harvest mount are also available separately from the Style tab. Each mount assists with a different part of Gardening:
- The Seed Sower plants whichever seeds are selected in the Build Inventory hotbar within a small radius.
- The Mechanized Hydration Tractor waters all eligible plants within a small radius.
- The Horticultural Harvester harvests all eligible plants within a small radius.
- Kahramet, Warden of the Fields is now available via the dragon effigy. Kahramet is also available through a golden egg from greater dragon caches.

Shadow’s Eve falls upon Trove on October 23, 2018. This year the spooky celebration is bigger than ever with an 8 Adventure chain, two weeks of Daily Login Rewards, plus all-new Outpost Adventures that can be completed every day of the event!
Looking for a great guide to the festivities? Check out this post from our friends at Trovesaurus.
Shadow’s Eve
Each of the 8 Shadow’s Eve Adventures awards players with a new event reward called Shadowy Seals. You can also earn these seals every day by completing the repeatable Outpost Adventures offered by NPC in front of the Pumpkin House in the Trove Hub.
Each Shadowy Seal can be used at the Shadowy Station to craft scary epic items. Collect 10 Seals to craft the Bewitching Howlug ally. Collect 25 more to craft these gorgeous new Neon Hallowings!
Pumpkin Lairs are back in full force and can appear in any biome, including Forbidden Spires. Complete these dungeons to earn Candy Corn that can be used to craft Nightmare Mystery Boxes and other creepy collectables at the Shadowy Station.
The Colossal Chiropteran and the Uncanny Coffin, which were last year’s Mystery Box top prizes, can be crafted by anyone who missed out on them before.
When completing a 1-Star Dungeon, Todstrom has a chance to appear instead of a reward chest. Defeat him for an extra treat – Candy Corn and a rare chance at a Mobile Mummy mount!
Several sought after Halloween styles have been added to the Autumn Style Unlocker – Freaky Frankie, Moonhowl Mask, Brusque Broom, Bat Bow, and Pumpkin Pounder. In addition to all that, we’ve added 3 new hats styles to the unlocker as well - Pumpkin Pie-rate Hat, Rainbow Unicorn Wig, and Candy Corn Hood!

New Class - Vanguardian
- Swooping in to the spotlight, the Vanguardian’s here to save the day!
- The Vanguardian packs a punch with new Fist weapons and always comes out swinging.
- Punch or pew - the ability to switch between ranged and melee controls the fighting space.
- Go KAPOW your way to victory – it’ll be super, just sayin’.
- This potent punching powerhouse can be crafted with in-game resources on the Resistor workbench.
- A Badge has been added for unlocking the Vanguardian.
Luminopolis
- A new sub-biome has been added to Neon City – Luminopolis!
- A colorful cityscape, Luminopolis is being conquered by the Amperium led by Ampress C455-Andra.
- The Resistors are fighting back against the Amperium, constructing new points of interest in Luminopolis. Called Outposts, here players can find Resistor Workbenches and take Outpost Adventures. Up to 3 Outpost Adventures can be in progress at a time and up to 20 can be completed in a day.
- Hoshizora, Luminary of Hope and Rhom-10, Dissent’s Roar are two new Ancestral Dragons who’ve come to join the battle (and ride the rails.)
- Assist the Resistors by attacking the Amperium and gain valuable new resources like Plasmium and Sentience Shards.
- The Neon City Scrap Case is a new box that can drop from NPCs and chests in Neon City and Luminopolis, containing commonly found materials to the region.
- Use these new resources at the Resistor Workbench to craft the new Vanguardian class, 14 new allies, 7 new mounts, the Windtunnel Wings, 5 new tomes, 18 new frameworks, and a +50% Adventurine potion. There are also 11 new costumes – a Kami-themed costume for the Dino Tamer, an Amperium-themed costume for the Neon Ninja, 2 costumes for the vanguardian, and 7 Resistor-themed costumes for the Knight, Gunslinger, Boomeranger, Revenant, Tomb Raiser, Vanguardian, and Pirate Captain.
- A terraformer for Luminopolis can be crafted from the Worldspring bench or the Resistor Workbench.
- Robot NPCs are now healed while standing in plasma.
- Those blocks you found while lasermancing in Luminopolis are totally intended. You'd best keep it a secret.
Rampages
These bosses are designed to be more along the lines of "large aggressive pinatas" and less along the lines of "#1 WORLD FIRST BEST TROVE 2018." We're aware they will be bullied, trapped, and poked fun at but so are they. It's intended that their HP system will make some classes more competitive than they are in the existing meta.
- A new challenge appears!
- Find and fight the invading Gigastormers in Luminopolis – whether it’s a Titanic Tentakiller, a Trojan Propagator, or a proxy of C455-Andra herself.
- Gain a Sentience Shard daily for participating in a Rampage.
- Rampages have 3 stages, each of which grant a Lesser Neon Cache.
- Lesser Neon Caches contain Flux, Plasmium, Charged Circuits, Logic Loops, Memory Matrixes, and rarely fragments for Rhom-10 or Hoshizora.
- Several Badges have been added for completing Rampages.
- Rampage Challenges Completed has been added to /stats.

- Beacons are not tradable, and can only be thrown in a club world by the club’s members.
- The player who throws a Beacon always receives a Sentient Shard when the Beacon is thrown. When the Gigastormer is defeated, the thrower and up to 7 other players will receive 1-3 Neon City Scrap Cases.
