Hello again!

Those crest feathers are looking awesome! Very well done! Also wow, first time voxeling and you already have that penguin? Impressive :D

Good job on reducing the chaos too, it already looks better :) Although may be just a tiny bit more, so the eye/face area stands out more from the back of the head? Plus, when equipped on a character helmets are 1/2 of their size while costumes and rest of the body are 1/1. With that, single voxels on helmets/hats/faces look somewhat bad and busy. If you really want some spots on it (which are a nice touch!) id suggest to make them slightly bigger.

Also, just for the sake of keeping things clean, its good to make sure there are no stray colored voxels hidden inside of the model. Floodfilling all those with one of the blacks or white should do the trick :)

I really am very fond of how this penguin turning out :D Just one last push and i hope i could approve it :)

Hello again :)

Wow that koala :D Very nicely done, great job on coloring and shape!

Happy to approve!

Ps. In general, i think there could be a bit less details (especially on ears) but in this case it should be alright :) Also with blueprints, if you convert your .qb file and material maps from same folder, your blueprint will contain all of them, so you dont need separate _a.blueprint _s.blueprint or _t.blueprint, only the main_thing[Creatorsname].blueprint .

@TheStimerGames

We got a reply that for unique thing as Ganda is, disconnected bits will be fine. I still think a beak could be a bit higher + may be a bit more details/patterns/shading overall could be good for it :)

Set the status to Review if you upload any changes to it!

Hello!

What a cute penguin you have here, love the big eyes, makes it much less duck-y :P I might be wrong, but it seems as if you used recently approved Mallard duck helmet as a base? A bit more shape change could probably be good, at least because in real life ducks and penguins have different bone structure.

I like the choice of colors, shades of black for the head and bright red-orange for beak to stand out :) However, the way it is colored now seems rather chaotic, while it could be good to have some randomness it still better when model and coloring trovian-clean.

Another thing, we already have a creator working on a penguin helmet, so it could be good if yours and his looked different enough. There are already two parrot helmets, but they represent different kinds of parrots and that is alight. Luckily enough there are multiple kinds of penguins too!

With that, i ve made a rough edit to show what i have in mind, more or less.

Meant to be emperor penguin, i suppose :P

To sum it up, im going to count your helmet for a contest entry for sure, but it need a bit more love to get approved and hopefully accepted by Dev team.

Going to set status of this one to Active, change it back to Review if you update it in some way :)

Hello again!

It looks like you moved eyes completely to the front but kept same shape of the head? Goal is to have a creation that looks good from as many sides as possible, not just from the front or side. It doesnt always work, but its still possible to reach certain extent of that.

At the moment it looks alright from the front, but sides and back only have randomized coloring. Also from the side the skull seems stretched, not sure if its the best approach.

In the contest article you can find a helmet template with attachment point, please use it as your attachment point seems misplaced. Bits of face poke out in the front and back is hanging.

If you are aiming for super derpy look, id suggest to take inspiration from Madagascar penguins, Kowalski for example has lots of charisma :)

However, if you are looking for more real-life anima/serious looks id suggest to work on skull shape, beak, eyes and coloring a bit more.

Made a quick edit to illustrate possibilities, first one is your original one, two others are my edit from front and back:

To put that in words, it might look more cute if weight was in the cheeks instead of forehead, if eyes were visible from more than 1 angle and if beak had more expressive.

As for coloring, some thought-through paintover instead of random bits and pieces usually works much better.

Back to Active so you could at least fix the AP, rest is optional, as usual. It can look any way as long as it looks good and trovian :)

Hello again!

I love the idea of flamingo helmet so much, they are so beautiful and majestic :D

You did a good job, but i think there is some room for improvement. First of, flamingo are known for their color and huge beaks, so it might be good to give those bits more love :)

Provided template works as helmet, not as head. Player heads are 10x10x10 so this layer of pink can already be a visible part of helmet.

That gives us a voxel of beak length already, and then one or two more in the front of the nose should still fit.

Next, colors. Bright screaming colors could be good for Trove indeed, but may be it would be worth it to move a bit away from neon-pinks and use warmer shades. Also, rough shading worked nicely for a duck, but flamingos have less glare on their feathers so i believe some softer coloring + patterns should work better.

Also, bigger and lower-placed eyes could help to create more visual difference from duck design :P

Tried to apply those suggestions myself and came up with this model, hope it helps :)
