- Vegetables - Vegetable plants like Qubbage, Unicorn Chard, and Totter Tates contain vegetables when harvested.

- Most plants require 4 hours to sprout before they can be watered.
- Once sprouted, a plant can be watered.
- Once fully watered, a plant can be harvested.

- Golden Watering Can - this consumable watering can completely fills the watering requirements for nearby plants, and can be used on plants which have already been watered with a Watering Can or Everlasting Watering Can. Can be found inside Bobble Pods and some Compost Heaps.
- Kahramet, Warden of the Fields has been attracted to Trove by the new growth in gardening. This new dragon can be crafted at the Dragon Crucible using Blossoming Dragon Egg fragments. She can also be obtained using a dragon effigy or through a golden egg inside of greater dragon caches.
- Blossoming Dragon Egg fragments can be found inside of Bobble Pods. They can also be composted for Quality Organic Refuse.
- Moonlight bulbs can now be found all over Trove and Geode. These bulbs concentrate the power of the moon goddess into a harvestable resource. But watch out, the moon goddess doesn't take kindly to these falling into the hands of Trovians and will remove them from your bags when you go offline for more than an hour.

Preview: cter is affected by this, your mastery bar in the character sheet will reflect the additional master Show
Hey folks,
Earlier today at approximately 22:45 UTC (3:45 PM PT), some of the worlds on PC granted players who logged in to them 266 Trove Mastery Points. These mastery points were temporary and tied to the world that granted them. The Mastery Points were lost when the player left the affected world and the Mastery leaderboard now reflects the correct Mastery Point values. We worked quickly to remove the affected worlds, but around 2,000 players received the temporary mastery points.
Unfortunately, if the temporary points were enough to grant an affected player a new Trove Mastery Rank, the player would retain the new rank. We have taken action and players who reached a Mastery level that is not yet attainable have been set back down to a normal level. All other affected players will keep the extra mastery level.
Please be aware that if your character is affected by this, your mastery bar in the character sheet will reflect the additional mastery points you actually need to obtain to reach the next level. For example, if you would normally need 300 points to obtain the next level, you might see something like 25/566 Trove Mastery Points instead of 25/300.

Hey folks,
Please be aware that we are currently moving offices, so the dev team will not be able to respond as quickly to issues on PTS as we usually try to do. We didn't want to hold back PTS any longer, but we likely will not be able to patch for several days. Once we're back from the move, we'll also take a look at addressing an issue preventing Mac users from accessing PTS. Please bear with us in the meantime as you explore the Crystal Combat Update.
Geode Topside Adventure Worlds5-Star Dungeons
- 3 new worlds can be found on the Atlas linked to the Geode Hub – a U8, U9 and U10 version of the Geode Topside Worlds.
- The Geode Topside Worlds have 3 biomes – the Cerise Sandsea, Hollow Dunes, and Weathered Wasteland.
- 1-star and 5-star dungeons can be found throughout these biomes.
- Outposts can also be found throughout the biomes – these offer several Outpost Adventures and can be used to loot collect unwanted items.
- Cornerstones cannot be summoned in the Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
- Veridium and Nitro-Glitterine ore can be found scattered throughout the Geode Topside. Nitro-Glitterine is rarer than Veridium.
- The Geode Topside is affected by Daily Bonuses.
- Recipes have been added to the Crystallogy workbench that require materials from the Geode Topside.
- PTS Note: These costs for these recipes are not final, and will see some further review before the update goes out.
Light and Dark
- 5 Star Dungeons are a new type of dungeon found exclusively in Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
- Enter the dungeon and find the Dark Heart within – interact with it to spawn Cursed Skulls and bosses.
- Defeat all the Cursed Skulls and bosses within the time limit to get an extra reward!
Gems
- 2 new stats have been introduced – Light and Darkness.
- Light can be found on Crystal Equipment and Cosmic Gems. Light cannot be removed from these items.
- Darkness is only found on monsters inhabiting the Geode Topside Adventure Worlds. Light is required to overcome their Darkness and damage them.
Cosmic Gems
- All new lesser gems of Shadow Rarity and above now have stats consistent with either Fierce or Arcane Gems. Fierce Gems always grant Physical Damage, while Arcane Gems always grant Magical Damage.
- A Fierce Gem can never reroll in to the Magic Damage stat, and an Arcane Gem can never reroll in to the Physical Damage stat.
- Gems can no longer crack while leveling. Because of this, Jade Clovers can no longer be used while leveling gems. Jade Clovers can still be converted in to Glistening Horseshoes on the Adventurer’s Crafting Bench.
- Gems now have a higher chance to both naturally level up and double level up while leveling.
Crystal Rarity
- A new type of gem has appeared – Cosmic Gems!
- Lesser Cosmic Gems come only from Cosmic Gem Boxes, and are not available in the Gem Boxes from Prime Worlds.
- Empowered Cosmic Gems can drop from existing Empowered Gem Boxes.
- 4 new abilities have been introduced for Empowered Cosmic Gems:
- Berserk Battler – Damaging enemies causes a frenzied state, adding a small increase to attack speed and Light. Continued damage to enemies extends the frenzied state until it causes a berserk state, greatly increasing attack speed and Light.
- Flower Power – Taking damage has a chance to spawn a blast flower which will decay and explode, damaging nearby enemies.
- Empyrean Barrier – Periodically applies a shield that reduces incoming damage. When the shield is destroyed it explodes, damaging nearby enemies.
- Vampirian Vanquisher – Dealing critical hits has a chance to increase movement speed and cause the next hit to leech health.
- Summoning Amberine on the Rally of Heroes will offer an adventure to find 5 cosmic gem boxes in any Geode Topside World. Amberine’s spawn rate and rarity have been adjusted to match other similar Heroes.
New Expertise Threads
- Crystal Hats, Faces, and Weapons can now drop from lair and dungeon chests in Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
- There are 3 tiers of Crystal rarity – Crystal 1, 2, and 3. Crystal 2 equipment can only be found in U9+, and Crystal 3 equipment can only be found in U10.
- Crystal equipment can have 1-5 stars – the star level of Crystal items can be upgraded at the Forge.
- Stellar and Crystal equipment return pearls when deconstructed.
- Crystal equipment drops with a new Crystal style for each equipment slot.
- Magic Find works differently for Crystal rarity. While higher values of Magic Find will still increase the chance of finding Crystal rarity items, even players with low Magic Find values should regularly find equipment of Crystal rarity.
Atlas
- A new Expertise Thread to explain gems has been added to the Expertise tab of the Adventures Activities. This is available for all players above level 10. Complete the Gems thread for experience, a Stellar Mask, Gemsly (a new rare Ally), and a new Badge.
- A new Expertise Thread to assist players access the Geode Topside is now available at 5,000 PR.
- PTS Note: Some of these steps are PTS only.
Store
- The Atlas can now be accessed from anywhere through the Atlas hotkey (defaults to CTRL+A).
- The Atlas is still physically accessible in the Trove Hub.
- The Atlas has also replaced the Trove Portal in the Geode Hub.

- Dragon Coin Boosts – these 50, 100, or 250 Dragon Coin Boosts will double all the Dragon Coins received from any source until 50, 100, or 250 coins have been doubled. Note that these boosts cannot be stacked.
- Greater Geodian Topside Caches are now available in the store on the Geode tab! Get valuable Geodian Topside crafting materials, gem augments, or (rarely) tradable mounts, allies, tomes, and costumes. Buy 33 and earn a Glowing Geodian Topside Cache, which always contains a rare result from the Greater Geodian Topside Caches!

- The store now has a New tab, where newly available products will appear.
- Jade Clovers have been removed from most areas of the store and replaced with an appropriate amount of Glistening Horseshoes instead. The Jade Clover Tome is still available.

Bomber Royale Changes
- A couple of potential Bomber Royale maps are currently running on PTS, but may not be included in the final Improvements Update. Please feel free to give feedback on these maps!
- Kill credit is now granted to the most recent player to damage someone if they die from environmental damage or falling within 15 seconds.
- Bomber Royale experience gain has been tuned to award more active, aggressive play. Some experience is now granted based on damage done to other players, and the amount of experience granted for just staying alive has been reduced. Experience for each kill has also been reduced since it is now easier to get credit for kills on players who die from lava or falling. Average experience gain may be lower, but very aggressive and accurate players will be more rewarded.
- The Bomber Royale scoreboard will now show how much damage has been dealt by each player (not including lava bombs).
- Damage Done (not including lava) in Bomber Royale is now also tracked in /metrics.
- In Bomber Royale, there is now an option to spectate the rest of the match. Which living player is being watched can be swapped at any time, and if the current target dies it will automatically swap.
- Fixed a rare issue that could join players to the same team, preventing them from damaging each other.
Club and Adventure Changes
- Clubs can now be reordered in the Club List.
- Primary Clubs will always use channel c1. The other clubs will follow the same order as the Club List.
- An X button has been added to the Liked Worlds UI, allowing players to remove clubs from the Liked Club World list even if the Homeworld Heart has been removed.
- Clubs ranks now have a PresidentialCandidate permission, and only players in ranks with this permission will be considered to replace an AWOL president. If a president is AWOL and there is no one in a rank with the PresidentialCandidate permission who is also not AWOL, then that club will continue to be run by the AWOL president. Note that if a president leaves a club, all bets are off and the server will still pick someone to replace them, even if there is no one in a rank with the PresidentialCandidate permission.
- The Club Adventure “Complete PVP Arena Matches” has been replaced by a new Adventure to throw 100 Bombs in Bomber Royale.
- The Club Adventure “Complete Timed Challenges” has had its required count changed from 10 to 3.

Ice Sage Changes
- The Ice Sage DPS has been increased to be more in line with the other classes in Trove. The Ice Sage's control over multiple enemies has also been improved and expanded. We have switched around the ultimate ability, 'The Big Chill' to make it more of the Ice Sage's normal kit rotation. We felt the ability to freeze muliple targets is unique to the Ice Sage, is a lot of fun and should be available for use more frequently.
- Originally, Frozen Ward was designed to behave like a panic button for when things were not looking good for the Ice Sage. Because the shield lasted indefinitely and provided a DPS increase, it made this ability more of a requirement for the class (due to it lacking DPS overall) and less of a second chance at life.
- While we have moved, 'The Big Chill' to the Ability1 button, we overhauled the way Frozen Ward works, moved it to Ability2 and have made this the class ultimate.
- The Empowered Gem for the Ice Sage, "Pain Freeze" no longer replaces, 'Ice Crash' but now replaces the Basic Attack for the Ice Sage. We felt the way Pain Freeze was originally implemented was a bit too uncontrollable or RNG and didn't really support the existing kit or change the overall class gameplay in a way we were happy with, so it's been changed. The changes to Pain Freeze should help round out the class and support the existing gameplay without making the class gem a "must have" for the class.

Bomber Royale Changes
- Kill credit is now granted to the most recent player to damage someone if they die from environmental damage or falling within 15 seconds.
- Bomber Royale experience gain has been tuned to award more active, aggressive play. Some experience is now granted based on damage done to other players, and the amount of experience granted for just staying alive has been reduced.

- Water can no longer destroy anti-gravity blocks.
- Rare bird deco drops and epic bear deco drops have had their displayed rarity set to Common so they will automatically be looted and won't leave behind extra floating objects. Note that this only affects their displayed rarity and not their drop rate.

Known Issue
- A change in this patch will prevent purchasing more than one of any item that unlocks a collection, even if that item is tradable. This will affect the Treasure Isles merchants along with Saltwater Sam in the hub. A fix is already in progress and will be released as soon as possible.
New Player Login Rewards
- Players now get a new bonus item every day for the next 7 days they log in, ending in a Golden Chaos Chest. Find the new icon in the lower-left side of your screen the first time you login each day.

- Placing a Repose of Heroes fixture no longer prevents Boothilda or Davey Drowner Heroes from spawning.

Adventures WindowFrameworks
- The Adventures Window is a consolidated place to view all available Adventures (formerly known as the golden thread). Press the Menu button on XB1, the Options Button on PS4, or the “I” key on PC to access it.
- Choose what to show in the HUD: Club Adventures, Event Adventures, or Expertise Adventures. Even control whether to see the Star Bar or Tomes Bar.
- All new players who hit character level 8 will gain a new series of Expertise Adventures teaching them how to build, bomb, collect recipes, craft, place Frameworks, create Workbenches, and more. Older players will also receive these Adventures.
- The option to hide challenges and objectives has been moved out of settings and can now be found in the Adventures Window.
Forbidden Spires Biome
- Framework recipes have been added to the Workbench, Forbidden Workbench, Haunted Workbench, Candy Workbench, Store, and Mastery Rewards. These new recipes allow players to craft and place entire structures in their Club World.
- The Forbidden Workbench now has Advanced Frameworks. These recipes have a rare chance to drop from Forbidden Spires recipe dungeons.
- The Radiant Watchtower and Shadowy Watchtower can be found in the store, each of which grant one ready to place framework and unlock the recipe.
- Once placed, these Frameworks cannot be picked up again. They can only be deconstructed into individual blocks and decorations.
- Blocks that overlap where a Framework are placed are dropped as loot.
Tethering [Public Evaluation]
- The Forbidden Spires, a peaceful and ancient place, has been discovered. This biome appears in low-level worlds, and is the featured biome in Uber-6.
- A new crafting material, Cinnabar, can be found in the Forbidden Spires biome.
- New Forbidden Spires decoration recipes have been added to the recipe dungeons in the biome.
- A new workbench, the Forbidden workbench, has been added to the Builder’s Crafting Bench. Craft one to craft Forbidden Spires decorations and frameworks.
- Monsters in the Forbidden Spires biome will rarely drop Fiery Feathers. Collect 100 along with other materials to craft Onbari, Empress of the Southern Skies on the Forbidden workbench.
- Panda Mounts can now be crafted on the Adventurer's Crafting Bench using Panda Talismans, which are rarely found in Uber 8 and higher adventure worlds.
- The Spire Spirits Adventure Box – containing the Frolicksome Fox Spirit and Crimson-Crested Crane mounts – can now drop from any world.
Mastery
- Tethers are a new way for players to group up and share XP and loot. Each tether gets an icon and name, and by default these appear in nameplates and in the upper left corner of the UI.
- To create a tether, just use the Tether hotkey and look at another player to automatically invite them to a tether. The same hotkey can be used to leave an existing tether or kick another player. (Only the tether’s leader can kick a member.)
- By default, the tethering hotkey is Ctrl-E on PC. On Xbox and PS4, tethering actions can be performed by holding down the button used to switch between adventure and build mode.
- XP and loot from killing NPCs is now distributed only to individual players and members of a tether that have dealt damage to that NPC.
- Players who move 500 blocks away from the tether’s leader will automatically be kicked after 30 seconds.
- Options for Tethering can be found under Settings > Social. Tethers can be automatically rejected from all sources, automatically accepted from friends and club members, automatically accepted from anyone, or set to always manually accept or decline. The display of Tethering icons can be set to show only the player’s icon on the nameplate, everyone’s icons, or no one’s icons.
- We're aware that there may be concerns about how loot (and not experience) is distributed as a result of two different tethers competing over a lair/dungeon boss chest. In some cases, the first tether was able to disarm the chest and collect loot before any members from the secondary tether could damage the chest. Tethering is still in the "Public Evaluation" phase at the release of the Adventures expansion so it's highly likely this will change, or tethering will be removed, as a result of live feedback on this topic.
Leaderboards
- Mastery rewards have been extended past Mastery Rank 300.
- The mastery tab in the character sheet has been adjusted to make it easier to find relevant information. Mastery is now displayed in chunks of 50 or 100 – complete 1 chunk to unlock the next!
- Early mastery rewards have been reworked to more clearly call out when Marketplace, Trading Post, and forum posting privileges are unlocked.
- New mastery rewards have been added at 220 (5 Radiant Sovereigns) and 270 (the Eclipse Key Codex), filling existing gaps. Any player who would have earned these will receive them upon first login.
- New mastery rewards at 100 (the Dragon Horde Deposition Tome), 250 (a Golden Dragon Effigy), and 260 (Goldwing Falkanzer Cub Ally) replace Chaos Coins or Golden Chaos Chests at these levels. Any player above these Mastery levels will receive the new rewards upon first login.
- The Mastery Points required to achieve Mastery Rank 0-300 is unchanged. Above 300, players will need half the targeted Mastery Rank in Mastery Points to Progress. For example, 150 Mastery Points are needed to achieve Mastery Rank 301. 300 Mastery Points are required to achieve Mastery Rank 600.
- Players with enough Mastery Points will jump from 300 to the appropriate Mastery Rank and receive all the benefits immediately.
- There’s no longer an extra chaos factor granted for being at Mastery cap.
- The bonus damage from each Mastery level has been reduced from .2% down to .15%
- New rewards include:
- Dragon Horde Deposition – a new tome which grants 15 dragon coins and 1 Trove of Wonders once a week
- Eclipse Key Codex – a new tome which grants 5 Eclipse Keys once a week
- Several framework recipes, which together can be used to build golden castle walls
- New tomes that grant gem dust once a week

- A new leaderboard has been added for Weekly Club Experience earned. Earn Experience for a Club by completing Adventures, found in that Club’s Club World. The Top 1000 Club Experience earners each week will be rewarded with a Golden Chaos Chest!
- A new leaderboard has been added that tracks Weekly Dungeon Clears. Rank in the top 30,000 Dungeon Clearers to earn an Empowered Gem Box!
- The Mastery leaderboard has been redesigned, following changes to the Mastery system. This leaderboard now grants a unique name tint to the top 2000 players for Mastery rating each week. Rewards which used to be available from placing on the Mastery leaderboard are now instead available through the above new leaderboards.
- Weekly contests for Defeating Enemies and Opening Boxes now occur more frequently.
- The following leaderboards have been removed from the game: Total Blocks Placed, Total Blocks Destroyed, Total Fish Caught, Total Heart-A-Phone Hearts Received, and Total Hearts Sent.

- Luxion of the Golden Hoard has been spotted heading towards the hub.
- Twice a month he will land and vend his artifacts and curios for a limited time in exchange for Dragon Coins. He will have some new items, some highly-sought items, and some timely goodies. Don't miss him - he will touch down on December 15th for the first time! Look for him in the Hub beside the Dragon Crucible.
- Chaos Chests will still contain exciting new items, as well as the backlog of previous chaotic items, and very rare “permanent rares”. But they will no longer contain items that had been given out in Events or are otherwise no longer available. Instead, Luxion of the Golden Hoard will occasionally vend such items.
