it is not the first time some kind of giveaway on curse.com bugs out like that so it might be worth the time to inquiry them about it
could well be too because of those people submiting multiple accounts on curse for codes to put on sale later on (someone actually posted a link to a reddit on forums that handles such things not long after i posted about the curse giveaway here yesterday)

The codes generated need to be applied to your Trion account, they don't generate an item and can't be traded in game, they are credited to your account automatically. It will work the same on Mac or PC.
