To highlight community creations, we're going to feature a Builder's Spotlight once every two weeks. In this issue, I'll introduce me, myself and my creations. Because this is a community spotlight, this will be the only self-spotlight.

Who's Evil(agician)

I've started playing Trove in the Summer of 2015. Freshly graduated, I suddenly had a lot of free time. While a certain big MMO was calling my name, I decided to try Trove. This way I could combine some adventuring with lots of building. Besides Trove I'm a husband, a father (of two evil spawns), a worker-bee (Quality Management and Process Improvement) and I enjoy long walks (like very long walks).

Evil builder inc.

I've always enjoyed the building aspect of block building games. Crazy stuff like building huge obsidian temples, by combining buckets of water and lava. So in Trove I started Eternal Skyguards, my personal building grounds for my voxel creations. The first spawn area was quickly abandoned for a second spawn, which in turn was abandoned after a while for the third and current spawn. Trove Puzzle Society was created with Gortar and LeNaux, to create a club with mazes, puzzles and hidden secrets. The year of 2015 ended with my participation in Trovemas.

The first half of 2016 was a bit Trove-less, as I focused on my training, but upon returning in July there was a lot to catch up with. Lots of familiar faces left for other ventures and gems became a thing. I created Creatrix Vincit Omnia to have an empty canvas.

In August 2016 Digiwolf asked me to design and build a new spawn for the Trovesaurus club. It was actually my first time building for someone else (the horror). Since then I've learned to build with others, and cope with different wishes (although there are still secrets hidden).

Evil dungeons and things

In my opinion, the community created dungeons are one of the things that make Trove a great game. So far three of my dungeons made it into the game, but one of my personal goals this year: "Evilafication™" of all biomes! As I'm writing this feature, a cursed dungeon is up for judgment and a neon dungeon is almost ready for judgment.

Evil modder

Modding was always had a coding-sound to me. Until September 2016, several modders in the community inspired me to take a look into that part of Trove. It has been a great journey so far, with three of my costumes being accepted and joining the tmod tests with the developers. But the biggest thrill of modding: players being happy with the mods created.

The perfect club

/joinworld CEBEP

One of the most impressive clubs in trove nowadaws.

/joinworld Oracle

Currently my favourite club to hang out, it has a huge castle and big impressive constructions with great details, one of the few clubs that focus on decorations which gives that final special touch to every construction. Only one player built it  his name is swiftnightshadow!.

I know, she does a wonderful job! I'm still trying to get her to make dungeons :D

I think the article is pretty good as is. However, the title doesn't really relate to what the article is about in my opinion. It's called a builder's club spotlight, but only really focuses on Evilgician and what he's done in the community, which may be to set up future articles he writes, I'm not sure if thats the case though. Also another thing that might be nice is instead of showing all the pictures at the end of the little paragraph, maybe after talking about a build, show it, then move on with the paragraph.  That might make it a bit choppy though.

As for clubs/builds you should check out, my club, /joinworld The Shoe Eaters, has a jurassic park themed build. While it was originally made for the dino tamer building contest, something went wrong and I think they judged only 1 part of the build and because of it, my build didn't do well. To get there, you can take the yellow portal located around spawn and then take the red portal from there.

The article was meant as an introduction to me, as I will be writing a club focussed article each other week. These articles will be themed, as will the builds. This issue was mainly to let share my experience with the game, as im a builder by heart. If they were to ditch the adventuring part of Trove, I would still be playing.

/joinworld heaven unchained

We're constantly thinking about what to build.
We start building, finish it and repeat, we always want something different and we're going bigger with every single building.
Take a look and enjoy!

I know heaven unchained :D Ty tried to have me join loads of times.

What about NerdRage then?

Looks interesting. will keepm an eye on the quality that is produced. Hence I'm a builder on Xbone system where modding is sort-of banned and is frowned upon by our best architects. I'm a sculptor and I dont see need of using mods for building singular creations or importing frames. As a sculptor you just pick a huge lump of land a cut out an object. But of late i've got a list of commissions to build huge works. I've reverted to to using Qubicle to simulate the neccessary block arrangement so proportion is somewahat clarified and the end result is much more realistic. I don't import anybody elses ideas. There are no works the same on any of my projects and I have a pleb workforce who feed me color block to my needs. This is art making in games - non profit to some extent but there are perks like 100k flux or superior items gifted for time spent making a world truly unique.

There arent really any building mods out there. People can use qubicle to create drafts, but they still have to create it ingame.

nice job! thats trove ! PS4 fan, im waiting for updates, but actually, when theres a update, its doesnt really help   :P

/joinworld 80s kids

I'm a new builder to trove, this is my first major build. I started building 1/1/2017. If you enjoy starwars I hope you enjoy my build =x

Star wars is good ^^

Even though it's not as big and mighty as some of those other clubs, it still has some amazing builds. Right infront of you when you spawn is a giant vine dome, with lots of nature themed decorations and builds. Behind spawn is a large staircase leading to a floaing castle, it's currently unfinished but the exterior is still great. Also, to the left of spawn is a greenhouse with previews of every growable plant, so you can pick the one you like if you're deciding to decorate with flowers.

Hey Evil, you put so much effort the stuff you do and its greta for it to be spotlighted. Cant beleive how much youve done and I'm always impressed with what you bring. Big thanks for making the club look fantastic with your designs. Been an absolute pleasure working with you and to have you as a friend.

For next club recommendations I have to agree with the "random" one i see above. My good friend Swiftnightshadow has an amaing club world she's worked on and it defintely will inspire people just be being in there and having abrowse at the breathtakingness of the builds.

Wow evilagician, it is incredible how much you put into this game.

Also, I liked the format and everything Etaew, but maybe if they have modded include the names of accepted mods as they are cool to know. Also /joinworld Radiant Utopia, lots of stuff there.

Great! looks really good.

/joinworld cute cube club

I love your dungeons they are fantastic. Perhaps review the best player made dungeons?

I was thinking of making stuff on new dungeons added to the game. Still waiting for a new patch with new dungeons to start on a draft :D

OH, cool. i might actaully end up finishing my build that i started ages ago xD

Thank u Evil for showing Oracle, as I wrote elsewhere the building issue has kept me in Trove since beta, and I am still enjoying myself building. For me it is not big, bigger, biggest, but find inspiration in the smallest things, something I read, something I saw goinf for a walk, something I would like to do, or see or be dreaming about. I hear so many people being bored, that is not something I hv ever felt, so much to do and find out. I am trying now to play with optical illusions, although it is a thing of try and error but that makes u discover new things in building.

I also enjoyed myself very much in starting to build for and with others, in the beginning also a bit stressed, wld they like it, wld it be good enough. But I found out, it is a great thing to do.

So now waiting for the Clubs 2.0, and who knows what new features will make us create even more inspired things.
