Guide Creation Contest - Winners

Thanks for choosing my guide as one of the winners!

I think this was a great contest idea (and not just because I won). Getting users to submit guides is a big part of what makes Trovesaurus useful, and I'm the kind of person who likes doing this sort of thing but I have trouble motivating myself to get around to it. A contest like this one is a great way to encourage people like me, and making most of the prizes go to guides chosen by staff is a great motivation for us to put forward our best work. Even though I came into the contest late, I stayed up very late last night and had my wife reviewing and critiquing my work-in-progress (she also plays Trove). I imagine most people wouldn't put in as much effort if the prizes were all awarded randomly, and I think the 10+2 split was a good way to go.

Also, I have no idea if it gets expensive for Trovesaurus to run these contests, but if it did I know I would be just as motivated if the prize for a contest like this was (for example) 1 point, with anywhere from 2-5 points required to win a Trove pack--just to require more contributions over time. I imagine that tracking something like this would be more hassle, but I wanted to toss the idea out there anyway!

It was a good contest, Im just bummed I didnt win. I inspired someone to make a better guide then I made. So I guess I win in a way. I WILL WIN A PACK ONE OF THESE DAYS.
