Leviathan World Bosses
  • Diligent explorers might find the way to some new world bosses in Geode Topside worlds – the monstrous Leviathans living underneath the surface.
  • There are 3 versions of these Leviathans, each with their own giant and dangerous abilities. Watch out, for they shall not be easy to survive!
  • Leviathan Lairs can not be destroyed, and Leviathans will destroy blocks placed around players.
  • The top 8 defeaters of Leviathans any day will receive an Ego Potion.
    • Ego Potions can be used to temporarily increase the size of the player’s head.
    • Unused Ego Potions will vanish during each weekly reset.
  • Defeating a Leviathan gives an increased chance of dropping Crystal 3 equipment along with Lesser Geode Topside Caches. While the drop rates increase with higher ubers, Crystal 3 equipment can drop from a Leviathan in U-8.
  • Badges can be earned for slaying Leviathans; these will reward an Ego Potion for each badge and Hats for every other badge.
  • Leviathans also drop Torches, which grant Light and are equipped in the Banner slot. Each Leviathan will only drop one Torch.
  • Tempered Torches can be crafted at the Sunseeker’s Crystalforge by combining Fragile Torches and other materials.
  • Tempered Torches only last until the weekly reset at 11 AM UTC on Mondays.
  • Fragile Torches last only until the next daily reset at 11 AM UTC.

  • Snarkle no longer accepts chaos chests that come from claims, but will now accept golden chaos chests.
  • The Mysterious Champion now gives an Adventure to deal 100,000 damage in Bomber Royale or win a match.

Hello there,

Rest assured that we are committed to the future of Trove. As a community manager, it is my job to build and maintain the bridge between you and our development team in order to ensure that the future of this game speaks to the wishes of the community.

Trooops, thank you for letting me know that you are not happy with us adding a lot of items to the shop. Because I am new to Trove, I am still getting familiar with the game and what the community really wants to see in future updates. You mentioned that the community has been asking for an SH buff, improvements to the Chloromancer, and Tomb Raiser. Can you please link me to relevant forum threads where this is being discussed so I can learn more about these requests? Since I am new here, these are all new topics to me and I need to investigate them so that I can pass it on to the development team.

Please understand that if you give me constructive feedback, we can make future Trove updates more meaningful to the community. I look forward to learning more about the needs of the community and delivering it to the development team.

  • Contained Chaos Flares can be crafted at the Adventurer's Crafting Bench or found in Lustrous Gem Boxes.
  • Fixed a number of enemies in the Shadow Tower to drop loot, including starfire dragon fragments.
  • Fixed an issue with the Dark Hearts in Radiant Ruins that was causing them to respawn immediately after activation.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur with the Chloromancer subclass and Clam enemies in the Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.

Bomber Royale Changes
  • Kill credit is now granted to the most recent player to damage someone if they die from environmental damage or falling within 15 seconds.
  • Bomber Royale experience gain has been tuned to award more active, aggressive play. Some experience is now granted based on damage done to other players, and the amount of experience granted for just staying alive has been reduced. Experience for each kill has also been reduced since it is now easier to get credit for kills on players who die from lava or falling. Average experience gain may be lower, but very aggressive and accurate players will be more rewarded.
  • The Bomber Royale scoreboard will now show how much damage has been dealt by each player (not including lava bombs).
  • Damage Done (not including lava) in Bomber Royale is now also tracked in /metrics.
  • In Bomber Royale, there is now an option to spectate the rest of the match. Which living player is being watched can be swapped at any time, and if the current target dies it will automatically swap.

  • (PS4 and Xbox only) The Bomber Royale scoreboard no longer prevents opening chat or the character sheet.

  • Clubs ranks now have a PresidentialCandidate permission, and only players in ranks with this permission will be considered to replace an AWOL president. If a president is AWOL and there is no one in a rank with the PresidentialCandidate permission who is also not AWOL, then that club will continue to be run by the AWOL president. Note that if a president leaves a club, all bets are off and the server will still pick someone to replace them, even if there is no one in a rank with the PresidentialCandidate permission.
  • The Club Adventure “Complete PVP Arena Matches” has been replaced by a new Adventure to throw 100 Bombs in Bomber Royale.
  • The Club Adventure “Complete Timed Challenges” has had its required count changed from 10 to 3.

Additional Updates
  • Made many server optimizations and reduced the amount of data sent back and forth between the client and server. This will moderately reduce lag.
  • An option to make cornerstones undamageable by bombs and abilities has been added to the Miscellaneous tab under Settings.
  • Added an option in the Miscellaneous tab under Settings to set the minimum rarity of gear that will be picked up when holding the Loot hotkey.
  • The +50% Crystal Gathering Potion now increases Crystal drops by 50% from Crystal Pinatas, Lesser and Greater Crystal Caches.
  • A sort button has been added for personal chests and inventory.
  • Players can now pick their displayed name colors from a list of earned colors. This list can be accessed next to the name on the character sheet.
  • There is now a toggle on the box opening UI that allows players to open chests until a rare result occurs.
  • The Geode Hub now has a map.
  • The player's icon should now appear over other players on the map.
  • Reduced the time it takes for cave critters to reward the player with Lesser Crystal Caches by approximately 75%.
  • Opening the Collections panel from the Character Sheet will now default to "Show Favorites" instead of "Hide Uncollected". If no Favorites are assigned for a given category, it will fall back to show all the collected items instead, as it did before.
  • The Marketplace now has a Resell option.
  • Camera distance will now be saved when switching between worlds.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dino Tamer ultimate would sometimes get stuck.
  • Damage numbers have been added to the Faerie Dance ability for Fae Trickster.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Za’hadeen from working with the Fae Trickster Subclass ability.
  • Tweaked the damage size for Vanguardian ranged attacks.
  • 30 enemy Cursed Skulls have been altered to spawn in three waves of ten creatures versus the old method of spawning six waves of five creatures.
  • The loot collector will now also include items in the currency inventory.
  • Items in the currency inventory should no longer deconstruct in to 100 glim.
  • The scroll speed for merchant stores has been increased.
  • Looting equipment while in Build Mode will no longer auto equip the item.
  • The error message received when attempting to equip a gem with an already equipped effect is now more accurate.
  • Additional Mastery Sigils have been added.
  • Plants will now grow in any season.
  • A Chocolate Sponge has been added to the top tier of Gardening. Note that Chocolate blocks are not required for any plant.
  • Double PVP Experience has been removed from the weekly bonus rotation after the current week - it only affects the old Battle Arenas, so the event has been confusing for some players. Bomber Royale is affected by the normal Double Experience weekly bonus instead.
  • Water can no longer destroy anti-gravity blocks.
  • Rare bird deco drops and epic bear deco drops have had their displayed rarity set to Common so they will automatically be looted and won't leave behind extra floating objects. Note that this only affects their displayed rarity and not their drop rate.
  • Fixed a typo for the Hoarfiend Hornbow.
  • Messages about receiving 0 Geode Mastery should no longer be displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where the skybox flickers when changing zones.

Bomber Royale Changes
  • A couple of potential Bomber Royale maps are currently running on PTS, but may not be included in the final Improvements Update. Please feel free to give feedback on these maps!
  • Fixed a rare issue that could join players to the same team, preventing them from damaging each other.

Club and Adventure Changes
  • Clubs can now be reordered in the Club List.
  • Primary Clubs will always use channel c1. The other clubs will follow the same order as the Club List.
  • An X button has been added to the Liked Worlds UI, allowing players to remove clubs from the Liked Club World list even if the Homeworld Heart has been removed.
  • The Club Adventures "Collect a Chaos Chest" and "Collect Chaos Chests" will no longer grant credit for Chaos Chests acquired from deconstructing other items.
  • An /adventurerewards command has been added to show the number of rewards available for various adventure types.
  • Adventures can no longer be accepted if they will not grant any rewards. (Note that club XP is considered a reward, so club adventures can be accepted past the 220 limit.)

Dragons
  • Two new dragons have been added to Trove!
  • Typhandir, the Sundered Shield can be obtained by collecting Egg fragments from Dark Chaos Vaults and then crafting the egg at the Dragon Crucible in the Hub.
    • Typhandir, the Sundered Shield is also available through Golden Dragon Effigies.
    • Dark Chaos Vaults an now be crafted at the Chaos Core Crafter Workbench.
  • Yzzuli of the Honeybreeze can be obtained by collecting Egg fragments from bee enemies and then crafting the egg at the Dragon Crucible in the Hub.
  • The Dormant Lorekeeper Dragon Egg now deconstructs into 5 Lorekeeper Dragon Egg Fragments as opposed to 18 Xinzaya's Tokens.

Store
  • Hearty Party Pack 1 has arrived! Thanks to the charitable contributions made by players during Extra Life 2017, this pack contains an un-bee-lievable dragon, Yzzuli of the Honeybreeze, along with 2 costumes, 3 mounts, 1 dancepad, 8 allies, and 9 styles.
    • Trion Worlds, Inc. will donate $5,000 for every 700 units sold of Trove Hearty Party Pack 1, up to a maximum amount of US$20,000, to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization located at 205 W 700 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 ). Donations will be made for all eligible packs sold worldwide (excluding SC, AL, IL, and MA) between 12:00 AM PDT, August 7, 2018 through 11:59 pm PDT, September 4, 2018. This contribution is not tax deductible.
  • A disclaimer has been added during purchases of packs to remind players that collectibles are automatically unlocked on the purchasing account, and accounts that have already purchased included items will not receive duplicates.

Ice Sage Changes
  • The Ice Sage DPS has been increased to be more in line with the other classes in Trove. The Ice Sage's control over multiple enemies has also been improved and expanded. We have switched around the ultimate ability, 'The Big Chill' to make it more of the Ice Sage's normal kit rotation. We felt the ability to freeze muliple targets is unique to the Ice Sage, is a lot of fun and should be available for use more frequently.
  • Originally, Frozen Ward was designed to behave like a panic button for when things were not looking good for the Ice Sage. Because the shield lasted indefinitely and provided a DPS increase, it made this ability more of a requirement for the class (due to it lacking DPS overall) and less of a second chance at life.
  • While we have moved, 'The Big Chill' to the Ability1 button, we overhauled the way Frozen Ward works, moved it to Ability2 and have made this the class ultimate.
  • The Empowered Gem for the Ice Sage, "Pain Freeze" no longer replaces, 'Ice Crash' but now replaces the Basic Attack for the Ice Sage. We felt the way Pain Freeze was originally implemented was a bit too uncontrollable or RNG and didn't really support the existing kit or change the overall class gameplay in a way we were happy with, so it's been changed. The changes to Pain Freeze should help round out the class and support the existing gameplay without making the class gem a "must have" for the class.
  • Basic Attack
    • The damage of Basic Attack has been increased by 100% to a coefficient of 2.0
    • Projectile size increased by 100% (from 0.25 to 0.50 block size)
  • Ice Crash
    • The damage of Ice Crash has been increased by 17% to a coefficient of 4.5
    • Energy cost reduced from 20 to 15
    • Ice Crash now chills enemies like Basic Attack, slowing their movement speed for 3.5 seconds
    • Ice Crash now attempts to freeze lava blocks, creating water in the process
  • The Big Chill
    • The Big Chill has been moved to Ability1 and has been replaced by, "Frozen Ward" as the Ice Sage ultimate ability
    • Enemies frozen no longer delay damage but take damage immediately
    • The Big Chill now lasts 3.5 seconds
    • The Big Chill costs 40 energy
    • The Big Chill now has a 7s cooldown
    • Enemies now take damage over time while frozen
    • Initial damage has a coefficient of 3.0
    • DoT damage has a coefficient of 0.66
    • The Big Chill has a critical coefficient of 0.5
  • Frozen Ward
    • Frozen Ward has been moved to Ability2 as the Ice Sage ultimate ability, replacing, "The Big Chill"
    • Frozen Ward now lasts 6s
    • Frozen Ward costs 55 energy
    • Frozen Ward now has a 50s cooldown
    • Frozen Ward blocks incoming damage by 50% while active
    • Frozen Ward movement speed has been increased by 400%
    • Magic Damage is increased 100% while Frozen Ward is active
    • Attack Speed is increased 400% while Frozen Ward is active
  • Ice Sage Empowered Gem, "Pain Freeze"
    • Pain Freeze replaces the class passive, "Coldhearted" and Basic Attack
    • Pain Freeze basic attack chills enemies, slowing their movement speed. (Like the Ice Sage passive, "Coldhearted")
    • Pain Freeze allows Ice Sages to walk across ice without slipping. (Like the Ice Sage passive, "Coldhearted")
    • Targets hit three times with Basic Attack while "Pain Freeze" is equipped explode taking additional damage with a coefficient of 4.5
    • The first hit from Basic Attack now freezes targets for 1s
  • Ice Sage Sub-class Ability
    • All tiers of the Ice Sage sub-class shield now include:
      • Incoming damage reduced by 10% while active
      • Movement speed has been increased by +20
      • Magic Damage is increased 20%
      • Attack Speed is increased 20%

Leaderboards
  • Weekly Contest Leaderboards have been reorganized to put similar contests together.
  • The Vanguardian is now part of the Weekly Contest Leaderboard rotation.
  • The Items Deconstructed contest has been returned to the Weekly Contest Leaderboard rotation. Buying back items will decrement a player’s score on the leaderboard.
  • Weekly Contest Leaderboards are now on a 4 week rotation instead of a 5 week rotation. Each week there are now four Class PR Contests instead of three.
  • There is a new Bomber Royale Weekly Contest Leaderboard - Weekly Bomber Royale Damage Done. This contest rotates week over week with Weekly Bomber Royale Kills.
  • Weekly Contest Leaderboards for Class Power Rank now reward 5 Bound Brilliance at 5000+ Score and 3 Empowered Gem Boxes at 2500+ Score.

Geode
  • Rowan has been sending out an SOS, and the Trovians have responded! It's time to go visit that mysterious cube that's been showing up on the Atlas.
  • Geode is a whole new world with its own Hub. Explore the caves of Geode, meet new Companions, and gather resources to level Crystallogy.
  • To the East of the Trove Hub is the giant SS Solidarity that'll carry any Trovian to Geode - just look for the Geode portal on the ground or climb up the ship. Geode can also be accessed via the Atlas.
  • Follow the Geode Expertise Thread to get an explanation of all things Geode. It will start automatically the first time you zone in to Geode. All but the first of these Adventures will grant class experience upon completion along with the various item rewards.
  • Daily Bonuses do not apply when you're on the planet Geode, except XP day.

Geode - Sanctuary
  • Sunseeker Spire - the Geode Hub is where all the Geodians from the largest Boulder to the smallest Pebble have gathered to resist the Shadows.
  • The Geode Hub consists of four levels:
    • The 1st level is where portals to the Geode Caves can be found along with a module forge and module workbench.
    • The 2nd level is Crafter’s Commons. Around the edges of this level can be found:
      • The Crystallogy Center, where Sunseeker Lazul teaches about Crystallogy, an ancient Geodian profession
      • The Companion Ranch where Sunseeker Gabbro awaits to assist with hatching or training Companions
    • The 3rd level is Sunseeker Square, where the Sunseekers make their home. Around the edges of this level can be found:
      • The Reliquary Research Center for all Reliquary-related needs
      • The Bomber Royale Blastadium for all Bomber Royale rewards
    • The 4th level is Sunseeker Landing - access this area to go back to the Trove Hub. The Blue Transit Portal in Crafter’s Commons will fast travel right there!
  • Travel between levels using either the Transit Portals or the airavators (built with the new Anti-gravity blocks).
  • Three new repeatable Adventures are available from assistant Pebbles found near Lazul, Th’lan, and Gabbro. These Adventures reward class experience and Lesser Crystal Caches for the first 20 completions per day.
  • Sunseeker Spire is protected by a massive energy shield that keeps the Shadows out and the Geodians in. The surface outside the shield is too dangerous for Trovians currently. Once the Trovians are better prepared, they will be able to venture beyond the barrier and into the Geodian wilderness.

Geode Caves
  • Travel through 3 new environments to gather resources, upgrade new modules, and meet a new set of creatures.
  • Geodians are usually pacifists, so aggressive abilities are not allowed in the caves - instead there are Modules to assist in cave journeys.
  • The atmosphere of the caves is intense and difficult for Trovian life – no mounts, wings, or allies can be summoned in the caves.
  • Up to 14 players can be found in the same cave at a time. Players cannot be invited in to caves.
  • All caves have up to 5 tiers. Travel through airlocks in order to reach deeper tiers of the caves.
  • Look for signs in the cave that point to lairs – lairs can contain a jackpot of resources, sometimes including a Bronze Companion Egg!
  • All caves contain Gleamstone, Builderite, Ancient Gears, Day Drops, Moonlit Moss, and Wallflowers.
  • The Moonglow Grotto is a predominantly purple cave that uniquely contains Moonstone, Quirkstone, Lunarium, Dream Dew, Acrobat Bark, and Queen Trumpets.
  • The Sunken Sunvault is a predominantly orange cave that uniquely contains Blazine, Sparkzite, Everlight, Sun Sap, Cave Birds, and Fireheart Flowers.
  • The Verdant Veins is a predominantly green cave that uniquely contains Geminite, Chronozine, Mightstone, Cave Kelp, Cogwine, and Builder’s Blossoms.
  • Watch out for hazards - the caves contain explosive plants, fire flowers which will drain N-charge, and creatures.
  • Creatures can be injured, hungry, cold, or overburdened with treasure. Solve their problems to receive crystals or Lesser Crystal Caches!
  • Lesser Crystal Caches can contain crystals or (rarely) Crystal Pinatas, Drillbits, or Bronze Companion Eggs.
  • Drillbits can be used to craft the Bovine Buildmaster or Rocket Drill mounts.

Reliquaries
  • Reliquaries are resource caches which can be equipped while exploring the Geode caves to charge them up.
  • Reliquaries are charged up by feeding, healing, and comforting creatures in the caves.
  • After a Reliquary is fully charged, take it to the Reliquary Cracker in the Geode Hub to open it!
  • Reliquaries can have their chances of an uncommon or rare result improved through the use of Lodestars.
  • Most Reliquaries will take 6 hours to open, while rare Reliquaries will take 2 hours.
  • Accelerite can be applied to speed up Reliquary opening - each Accelerite consumed will reduce the time by 2 hours.
  • Additional Reliquary slots can be obtained using Space Expanders.

Modules
  • Modules are a new type of equipment that will assist progress through the Geode Caves.
  • There are 8 modules, and all can be leveled 10 times. Leveled modules are more efficient in even the early cave tiers.
    • The Geodian Acclimation System (GAS) controls how long the player can survive in the caves. Upgrading it allows for longer, deeper cave dives. When you're out of GAS, you're out!
    • N-Charge powers the other modules - upgrade it to stay stronger longer.
    • The Omni-Tool allows the player to harvest Geodian blocks and interact with cave creatures. Upgrade it to mine faster or further.
    • The Climbing Claw allows the player to grapple to any location within range or to stun cave creatures. Upgrade it to travel faster or further and stun stronger creatures.
    • Rocket Boots allow the player to hover or travel upwards to reach resources that might otherwise be difficult.
    • The Thumper makes crystals and ore visible that would otherwise be hidden.
    • Barrier Generator protects against fire flowers and other hazards.
    • Path Painter allows for marking paths. While staying on a marked path, movement speed is increased.

Companions
  • Companions are cave creatures who've been raised to assist the player in the caves.
  • There are 8 types of companions with 3 different rarity tiers.
  • All Companions grant various benefits when taken on journeys in to the Geode Caves.
  • Companions can be hatched from Bronze, Silver, or Gold Companion Eggs. Gold Companion Eggs are always a rare result, while Silver Companion Eggs are always an uncommon or rare.
  • Companion Eggs can be hatched in the Egg Incubator found in the Geode Hub near Gabbro.
  • Bronze Companion Eggs can have their chances of an uncommon or rare result improved through the use of Lodestars.
  • Companion Eggs will take some time to hatch - Bronze Companion Eggs will hatch in 10 hours, while Silver and Gold Companion Eggs hatch in 2 hours.
  • Accelerite can be applied to speed up Egg hatching - each Accelerite consumed will reduce the time by 2 hours.
  • Companions can be trained in the Companion Trainer found next to the Incubator. Training Companions will add new benefits or increase existing ones.
  • Any unwanted Companions (you monster) can be sent to find a much better, actually loving home by using the Forever Home Finder near the Egg Incubator.

Crystallogy
  • Crystallogy is a new profession found in the Geode Hub.
  • Gain resources while in the Geode Caves in order to level up this profession and craft all the recipes.
  • This profession has recipes for items to assist cave travel in various ways, including assisting cave creatures, tomes for Geodian resources, costumes, and even Space Expanders to add additional reliquary or incubator slots.
  • New VFX Blocks can be crafted from this profession. Add a range of vfx to a cornerstone or club world with these blocks.
  • New Anti-gravity blocks can also be crafted from this profession. Add an airavator to a cornerstone or club world with these new blocks!
  • A new Geode Biome workbench has been added to the Crystallogy Center. Recipe unlockers for the recipes on this workbench can be crafted via Crystallogy.

Geode Mastery
  • Geode has a new type of Mastery.
  • Acquiring items from the Geode Caves, leveling Crystallogy, or leveling Modules will all grant Geode Mastery. (These all continue to also grant Trove Mastery.)
  • Geode Mastery contains rewards to assist progress through the Geode caves – earn metamatter to level Modules, Eggs to earn new Companions, and Space Expanders to unlock additional reliquary or incubator slots.
  • Geode Mastery does not grant stat bonuses.
  • A /geodemastery command is available, similar to the existing /mastery command.

Leaderboards
  • Geode Mastery Points – Tracks total Geode Mastery points. The top 2000 players in this category receive a blue name color weekly.
  • Total Mastery Points – Tracks combined Mastery and Geode Mastery points. The top 2000 players in this category receive an orange name color weekly.

Bomber Royale
  • Bomber Royale is a new competitive combat mode that can be accessed via a top level menu item – it’s literally the bomb.
  • Up to 20 players can join in a Bomber Royale match, although the match will start 15 seconds after 15 players are queued.
  • Players will start on a glass platform that deconstructs, eventually dropping them to the actual map.
  • Bomber Royale maps are completely destructible and will randomly deconstruct themselves over time. The goal is to be the last player standing - literally!
  • Bomber Royale is completely independent of class abilities - every player starts equipped with Rubber Bombs and a Climbing Claw. All players also have the same health and energy amounts.
    • Rubber Bombs are a thrown explosive that bounce off the first surface they hit and explode on the second surface. They consume energy when thrown and will damage other players.
    • The Climbing Claw is a grappling hook that pulls the player to the target location.
    • Several power ups are available across the map:
    • Rubber Bomb power ups decrease the energy cost of throwing a Rubber Bomb
    • Climbing Claw power ups decrease the cooldown of the Climbing Claw ability
    • Health power ups heal the player when triggered - but also slow them down! Only one can be held at a time.
    • Lava Bomb power ups change the next 3 Rubber Bombs thrown to Lava Bombs - these will turn the area in to lava, including any water
    • Sticky Bomb power ups grant the Sticky Bomb on the first pick up, and reduce the cooldown on subsequent gains. The Sticky Bomb does not bounce - it lands in one spot and explodes 5 seconds later.
    • Bomb Jump power up grants the use of the Bomb Jump ability. Bomb Jump gives the player a little escape ability - use it to quickly blast out of the way or knock back an opponent.
  • The last 10 players standing will receive the following rewards:
    • 3 coins to the last player standing
    • 2 coins to the last 2-4 players standing
    • 1 coin to the last 5-10 players standing
  • The first player to kill an opponent will also receive a coin.
  • Coins can be redeemed for rewards at the Bomber Royale Merchant in the Geode Hub.

Inventory Changes
  • To accommodate the new items added in Geode, 2 new inventory tabs have been added.
  • A module inventory has been added to hold modules for exploring the Geode caves. Players cannot directly interact with the modules in the inventory – but can upgrade them at the Mining Facility in the Geode Hub.
  • The Geode inventory tab contains all the resources collected in Geode, including Companions.
  • The Geode inventory tab will have the same amount of unlocked space as the Adventure and Build mode inventory.
  • An additional free tab has also been added to the Personal Chest.

Known Issue
  • A change in this patch will prevent purchasing more than one of any item that unlocks a collection, even if that item is tradable. This will affect the Treasure Isles merchants along with Saltwater Sam in the hub. A fix is already in progress and will be released as soon as possible.

New Player Login Rewards
  • Players now get a new bonus item every day for the next 7 days they log in, ending in a Golden Chaos Chest. Find the new icon in the lower-left side of your screen the first time you login each day.
  • Patrons will receive an additional flux bonus with these rewards.

Store
  • The Square Necessities Pack is now in the Store! Containing a flying griffon, wings, and an ally, a framework, 7 styles and a host of useful items, it’s a fantastic addition to anyone’s collection.
  • Tomes in the Store now precisely match the name of the item you actually receive.

Club Updates
  • Only the first 30 enemies killed from a cursed skull will count towards Adventures or Events.
  • Increased Adventurine rewards for Adventures from the Rally of Heroes fixture based on the rarity of the Hero giving the Adventure. The amount of increase is: Uncommon - 10%, Rare - 25%, Epic - 50%, Legendary - 100%
  • Placing a Repose of Heroes fixture no longer prevents Boothilda or Davey Drowner Heroes from spawning.
  • Editing a member’s permissions no longer resets the sorting being used for the member’s list in the Club UI.
  • Updated the text in the Adventure section of the Club UI to be more accurate when a slot is empty.
  • Updated the Travelling Club Merchant Fixture bonus to require rent.
  • The world map now displays the club name even if you are not part of that club.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when trying to upgrade a fixture after changing Primary Clubs.
  • Collecting Clubits from the Travelling Merchant fixture will now appear in the Club log.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a player’s primary club to reset.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur in the Adventures tab on the Club UI.
  • Club Power Rank Leaderboard should now always populate, rather than only the week after a patch.

  • The Racing Raptor should now be extinct from Chaos Chests.
  • Destroying signs should now give the sign back.

  • Acid blocks now block health regeneration again.
  • Cinnabar now drops on the Chaos Chest common loot table.
  • Added better messaging when login fails.
  • Text in the Barber Shop should no longer flicker.
  • Being disconnected while fishing will no longer consume the lure.
  • Text on the "Go Shopping" Adventure in the Golden Thread has been clarified; any purchase (for cubits, of a free item... anything!) will satisfy this Adventure, not just claiming the Free Class Coin. This was always so but the text was misleading.
  • The “Seasonal” category under Collections > Mounts has been renamed to the “Pinata” category to more accurately reflect the mounts in the category.
  • Updated Subclass vfx and sounds to only trigger when swapping instead of also triggering when changing worlds.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Battle Level tab on the character sheet from scrolling properly.
  • Fixed an issue where, for non-English language players, Chaos Chests were incorrectly using the rare pause delay for all items.
  • Removed the extraneous leaderboard for the Dungeons Completed Weekly contest. This leaderboard will now correctly appear in rotation instead of every week.
  • Wildflower Warlock and Hiveoponic Horticulturist Chloromancer costumes now show models for the Class Gem's Green Gatling.

Adventures Window
  • The Adventures Window is a consolidated place to view all available Adventures (formerly known as the golden thread). Press the Menu button on XB1, the Options Button on PS4, or the “I” key on PC to access it.
  • Choose what to show in the HUD: Club Adventures, Event Adventures, or Expertise Adventures. Even control whether to see the Star Bar or Tomes Bar.
  • All new players who hit character level 8 will gain a new series of Expertise Adventures teaching them how to build, bomb, collect recipes, craft, place Frameworks, create Workbenches, and more. Older players will also receive these Adventures.
  • The option to hide challenges and objectives has been moved out of settings and can now be found in the Adventures Window.
Frameworks
  • Framework recipes have been added to the Workbench, Forbidden Workbench, Haunted Workbench, Candy Workbench, Store, and Mastery Rewards. These new recipes allow players to craft and place entire structures in their Club World.
  • The Forbidden Workbench now has Advanced Frameworks. These recipes have a rare chance to drop from Forbidden Spires recipe dungeons.
  • The Radiant Watchtower and Shadowy Watchtower can be found in the store, each of which grant one ready to place framework and unlock the recipe.
  • Once placed, these Frameworks cannot be picked up again. They can only be deconstructed into individual blocks and decorations.
  • Blocks that overlap where a Framework are placed are dropped as loot.
Forbidden Spires Biome
  • The Forbidden Spires, a peaceful and ancient place, has been discovered. This biome appears in low-level worlds, and is the featured biome in Uber-6.
  • A new crafting material, Cinnabar, can be found in the Forbidden Spires biome.
  • New Forbidden Spires decoration recipes have been added to the recipe dungeons in the biome.
  • A new workbench, the Forbidden workbench, has been added to the Builder’s Crafting Bench. Craft one to craft Forbidden Spires decorations and frameworks.
  • Monsters in the Forbidden Spires biome will rarely drop Fiery Feathers. Collect 100 along with other materials to craft Onbari, Empress of the Southern Skies on the Forbidden workbench.
  • Panda Mounts can now be crafted on the Adventurer's Crafting Bench using Panda Talismans, which are rarely found in Uber 8 and higher adventure worlds.
  • The Spire Spirits Adventure Box – containing the Frolicksome Fox Spirit and Crimson-Crested Crane mounts – can now drop from any world.
Tethering [Public Evaluation]
  • Tethers are a new way for players to group up and share XP and loot. Each tether gets an icon and name, and by default these appear in nameplates and in the upper left corner of the UI.
  • To create a tether, just use the Tether hotkey and look at another player to automatically invite them to a tether. The same hotkey can be used to leave an existing tether or kick another player. (Only the tether’s leader can kick a member.)
  • By default, the tethering hotkey is Ctrl-E on PC. On Xbox and PS4, tethering actions can be performed by holding down the button used to switch between adventure and build mode.
  • XP and loot from killing NPCs is now distributed only to individual players and members of a tether that have dealt damage to that NPC.
  • Players who move 500 blocks away from the tether’s leader will automatically be kicked after 30 seconds.
  • Options for Tethering can be found under Settings > Social. Tethers can be automatically rejected from all sources, automatically accepted from friends and club members, automatically accepted from anyone, or set to always manually accept or decline. The display of Tethering icons can be set to show only the player’s icon on the nameplate, everyone’s icons, or no one’s icons.
  • We're aware that there may be concerns about how loot (and not experience) is distributed as a result of two different tethers competing over a lair/dungeon boss chest. In some cases, the first tether was able to disarm the chest and collect loot before any members from the secondary tether could damage the chest. Tethering is still in the "Public Evaluation" phase at the release of the Adventures expansion so it's highly likely this will change, or tethering will be removed, as a result of live feedback on this topic.
Mastery
  • Mastery rewards have been extended past Mastery Rank 300.
  • The mastery tab in the character sheet has been adjusted to make it easier to find relevant information. Mastery is now displayed in chunks of 50 or 100 – complete 1 chunk to unlock the next!
  • Early mastery rewards have been reworked to more clearly call out when Marketplace, Trading Post, and forum posting privileges are unlocked.
  • New mastery rewards have been added at 220 (5 Radiant Sovereigns) and 270 (the Eclipse Key Codex), filling existing gaps. Any player who would have earned these will receive them upon first login.

  • The Mastery Points required to achieve Mastery Rank 0-300 is unchanged. Above 300, players will need half the targeted Mastery Rank in Mastery Points to Progress. For example, 150 Mastery Points are needed to achieve Mastery Rank 301. 300 Mastery Points are required to achieve Mastery Rank 600.
  • Players with enough Mastery Points will jump from 300 to the appropriate Mastery Rank and receive all the benefits immediately.

  • The Mastery leaderboard has been redesigned, following changes to the Mastery system. This leaderboard now grants a unique name tint to the top 2000 players for Mastery rating each week. Rewards which used to be available from placing on the Mastery leaderboard are now instead available through the above new leaderboards.
  • Weekly contests for Defeating Enemies and Opening Boxes now occur more frequently.
  • The following leaderboards have been removed from the game: Total Blocks Placed, Total Blocks Destroyed, Total Fish Caught, Total Heart-A-Phone Hearts Received, and Total Hearts Sent.

    • The Land Scaper 8000-T has been added for any bulldozing needs. Throw on the (not included) Blastcap Builder costume, get out the Land Scaper 8000-T, and get ready to knock it all down.

  • (PS4 and Xbox only) Disaeon is back for console players! Earn a free dragon with the purchase of any pack as an extra thank you. (Note: PC players can earn Disaeon through the Refer-A-Friend program.)
Luxion of the Golden Hoard
  • Luxion of the Golden Hoard has been spotted heading towards the hub.
  • Twice a month he will land and vend his artifacts and curios for a limited time in exchange for Dragon Coins. He will have some new items, some highly-sought items, and some timely goodies. Don't miss him - he will touch down on December 15th for the first time! Look for him in the Hub beside the Dragon Crucible.
  • Chaos Chests will still contain exciting new items, as well as the backlog of previous chaotic items, and very rare “permanent rares”. But they will no longer contain items that had been given out in Events or are otherwise no longer available. Instead, Luxion of the Golden Hoard will occasionally vend such items.

  • GF6Q - If you didn't find the hidden treat, start at the top AND DO IT AGAIN!

Trove Eclipse brings new tools to light in the fight against the looming shadow. Customize your Trovian to suit your needs while adding new passive skills and powerful perks!

What are Subclasses?
When your character reaches level 10 you’ll automatically unlock the ability to select a Subclass from the Character menu. Each Subclass is based on the 15 Trove classes and grants a passive skill as well as a stat boost. The stat boost increases as you raise the level of your Subclass.

The effectiveness of the passive skill is based on the active Power Rank of the associated class. For example, if you select the Candy Barbarian Subclass and your Candy Barbarian is Power Rank is 2,000 that will determine how much of an attack & movement speed boost you get.

Check out the full list of available Subclasses:
  • Gunslinger: Provides extra jump and increases all damage done to enemies while airborne.
  • Neon Ninja: Provides extra jump and grants a chance to deal bonus damage to enemies at less than 20% health.
  • Dino Tamer: Provides extra Attack Speed and grants Critical Hits a chance to briefly root targets.
  • Lunar Lancer: Provides extra Attack Speed. During combat you'll have a chance to briefly transform into a Lunar Lancer and receive some of its power.
  • Ice Sage: Provides extra Magic Damage and activates a shield that absorbs incoming damage when successfully attacking foes. The shield is equal to 5% of Max Health.
  • Dracolyte: Reduces cooldowns and grants Physical Damage a chance to set enemies on fire.
  • Knight: Provides extra flask capacity and increases movement speed while riding ground-based mounts.
  • Pirate Captain: Provides extra Magic Find and has a chance to drop a cannon ball from the sky when damaging enemies.
  • Chloromancer: Boosts Maximum Health and damaging enemies grants a chance to activate thistles that reflect incoming damage.
  • Tomb Raiser: Provides extra Critical Hit and has a chance to spawn a random minion from a fallen foe. Only one minion of this type can be active at any given time.
  • Revenant: Reduces incoming damage and grants basic attacks a chance to trigger a taunt.
  • Shadow Hunter: Provides extra Magic Damage and grants magic attacks a chance to activate Searing Light, which deals damage over time.
  • Candy Barbarian: Provides extra Stability and has a chance to drop candy when damaging an enemy. The candy increases attack and either movement speed or healing.
  • Fae Trickster: Increases gliding speed and grants Critical Hits a chance to spawn bombs that damage and stun enemies.
  • Boomeranger: Increases Critical Damage and spawns a fae companion that provides healing if you fall to low health.

To select a Subclass simply open your Character menu and select the yellow exclamation point next to your normal class skills. Look through the list of available Subclasses and select the one that works best for you.

Once a Subclass is selected it will show as “Active” in the Subclass menu. Your active Subclass will automatically move to the top of the Subclass menu. You can swap between Subclasses whenever you choose without any in game cost.

This new system gives you new ways to power up your Trovian while also giving all new levels of customization. Choose increased survivability or extra damage based on the situation at hand and take the fight to the forces of shadow!

Patch Notes

Gem Stat Augment and Reroll System
  • Improve or change a stat on a gem using the new Gem Forge!
  • The recipe to craft a personal Gem Forge can be found in an Adventurer's Crafting Bench under the “Gem & Gear Improvement” section.
  • New crafting materials to support this system have also been added:
    • Bound Brilliance, which can be found in Boons or collected from events. (What’s a Boon? See the note on “Daily Reward Chests” below!)
    • Binding Darkness, which can be found in Gem Booster Boxes and Empowered Gem Boxes, or can (rarely) be dropped by mini bosses in the open world.
  • Four additional recipes have also been added to the Adventurer's Crafting Bench in the “Gems” section:
    • Builder's Rough Focus: Can be used at a Gem Forge to improve a gem’s stats. Requires 1 Bound Brilliance, 4 Hearts of Darkness, and 2,000 flux to craft.
    • Builder's Precise Focus: Can be used at a Gem Forge to improve a gem’s stats. Requires 1 Bound Brilliance, 3,000 water gem dust, 3,000 fire gem dust, 3,000 air gem dust, and 4,000 flux to craft.
    • Builder's Superior Focus: Can be used at a Gem Forge to improve a gem’s stats. Requires 1 Bound Brilliance, 30 Diamond Dragonite, 3 Titan Souls, and 150,000 flux to craft.
    • Contained Chaos Spark: Can be used to reroll any stat on a gem. (Be aware that gems can’t have both the Physical Damage and Magic Damage stats simultaneously.) Requires 3 Lunar Souls, 4 Binding Darkness, and 2,100 Eyes of Q'bthulhu to craft.
  • The Health Regeneration stat will no longer appear on newly obtained gems! Existing gems with Health Regen will continue to function and may be improved with the new system. However, if Health Regen is removed from a gem via rerolling, it can never be replaced. (The Health Regen stat on equipment remains unchanged.)
Gem Booster Boxes have been rebalanced:
  • Binding Darkness has been added to the drop table.
  • Gem dust has returned to the drop table.
  • The drop rates for Jade Clovers, Glittering Horseshoes, Golden Gem Keys have been reduced.
  • These changes were necessary to ensure the drops from Gem Booster boxes support a wider range of players.
  • Daily Reward Chests have been rebalanced and are now called Boons of a Celestial Paragon:
    • There are 12 boons in total, one for each month of the year.
    • They now have a very rare chance to drop the 18-token monthly reward.
    • Bound Brilliance has been added to the common drop table.
    • The number of Dragon Coins that drop from one roll has been increased. (MOAR RAWR!)
    • The number of Jade Clovers that drop from one roll has been decreased.
    • These changes raise the overall value of drops from daily chests. Err, Boons. They raise the value of drops from Boons. Because that’s what daily chests are called now.
  • The Book of Bound Brilliance is now available to craft at the Adventurer’s Crafting Bench! This Legendary Tome will grant 5 Bound Brilliance once a week.
  • Loot collecting leveled gems just got a whole lot better! The amount of Gem Dust obtained from deconstructing a leveled gem has been increased by up to 300% at Level 5, 700-1200% at level 10, up to 2000% at level 15, and up to 1000% at Level 20+. Transitioning from an older gem to a shiny new one will now be MUCH less expensive.

Subclasses
  • The new subclass system is unlocked ~automagically~ at level 10!
  • Any unlocked class can now be equipped as a subclass using the new 5th ability slot on the Character Sheet.
  • Each subclass provides a unique passive ability along with a stat boost! The effectiveness of the passive increases based on the active Power Rank of the subclass, while the stat boost improves based on the level of the subclass.
  • An active class may not be designated as its own subclass.
  • Subclasses are now also displayed on the “Select a Class” window, along with the class's level and power rank.
  • Each class gives the following bonuses when selected as a subclass:
    • Gunslinger: Provides extra jump and increases all damage done to enemies while airborne.
    • Neon Ninja: Provides extra jump and grants a chance to deal bonus damage to enemies at less than 20% health.
    • Dino Tamer: Provides extra Attack Speed and grants Critical Hits a chance to briefly root targets.
    • Lunar Lancer: Provides extra Attack Speed; during combat, grants a chance to briefly transform into a Lunar Lancer and receive some of its power.
    • Ice Sage: Provides extra Magic Damage; activates a shield that absorbs incoming damage when successfully attacking foes.
    • Chloromancer: Provides extra Maximum Health; damaging enemies grants a chance to activate thistles and reflect incoming damage.
    • Boomeranger: Increases Critical Damage and spawns a fae companion that provides healing if its master falls to low health.
  • Note that the subclass passive for the Dracolyte is designed to support players who primarily play magic damage classes and want to experiment with physical damage classes. The subclass passive for Shadowhunters is designed to do the opposite. These may be swapped if they prove too confusing.
Shadow Tower Foyer
  • Players entering the Shadow Tower via the Atlas spawn into the new Shadow Tower Foyer:
    • The foyer contains three separate platforms indicating desired difficulty level, allowing players to easily find other adventurers to partner with. The platforms may or may not also provide random pools to fish in.
    • Entering the foyer automatically adds players to the "ShadowTower" chat channel. Leaving the foyer automatically removes them.
    • Players entering the Shadow Tower via a portal now have the option of entering the tower directly or heading first to the foyer.
Shadow Hydrakken
  • The fearsome Shadow Hydrakken has awakened on the Shadow Tower’s fourth floor! This ancient, multi-headed beast spews vile acid on its foes--talk about morning breath!
  • Watch out for parasites!
  • Hisssssssssssss. Don't heck with him. 5x Wall Snek.
Darknik Dreadnought
  • The Darknik Dreadnought, Dr. Darknik's latest mechanical machination, now guards the fifth floor of the Shadow Tower. A battle robot bristling with armaments, it’s ready to give Trovian invaders a very, VERY warm welcome!
  • You won't like him when he's angry.
  • Adventurers wishing to avoid their curtain call had best employ a better defense than Cubic Curtain.

Additional Shadow Tower Updates
  • Daughter of the Moon has relocated to her new penthouse on the sixth floor of the Shadow Tower.
  • Higher-quality keys can now be used to open Shadow Vaults. Moon Keys can open Normal and Hard Shadow Vaults, while Eclipse Keys can open Normal, Hard, and Ultra Shadow Vaults.
  • Titan and Lunar Souls now drop from Shadow Vaults instead of being directly awarded after defeating a Shadow Titan.
  • Daughter of the Moon now drops a new resource called Despoiled Divinity in addition to Lunar Souls. One Despoiled Divinity can be earned for each Shadow Tower difficulty, up to a maximum of 3 per week.
  • Many new rewards have been added to the Shadowy Market for Hearts of Darkness, Titan Souls, Lunar Souls, and Despoiled Divinity.
  • The amount of Flux dropped from Titan's Treasures has been significantly reduced.
  • The number of Titan Souls dropped by Shadow Titans has been adjusted as follows:
    • Spikewalker Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/2/3
    • Weeping Prophet Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/2/3
    • Vengeful Pinata God Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
    • Shadow Hydrakken Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
    • Darknik Dreadnought Mk II Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
  • Previously, explosions only damaged Shadow Titans if they occurred near the center of the Titan. This bug has been fixed, and explosions now damage Shadow Titans if they hit any part of them.
  • Elite enemies can now spawn in the Shadow Tower. Each drops a guaranteed Shadow Shard, with a chance for one extra shard in Hard mode and two extra shards in Ultra.
  • An assortment of new enemies have migrated to the Shadow Tower.
  • Shields no longer prevent being killed by the Daughter of the Moon's one-shot attack.
  • Elemental worlds now drop Shadow Key Fragments, Moon Key Fragments, and Eclipse Key Fragments. These all have a chance to drop from clearing 1-star and 3-star dungeons, similar to how gem boxes currently drop in Prime Worlds. Patron status gives two such chances (which may result on any given chest as 0, or 1, or 2 of the drops that a Prime World chest of the same Uber level would drop.)
  • Prime Worlds now drop more Shadow Key Fragments, Moon Key Fragments, and Eclipse Key Fragments. 1-star Dungeons will see their drops increased by approximately 50%, while 3-star dungeons will see their drops increased by variable amounts. Patron status doubles such drops.

New Dragons
  • Seven new dragons have landed! Recipes for each can be found in the Dragon Crucible, and their egg fragments have been scattered throughout the game.
    • Voidwalker Dragon Egg Fragments for Indurion, the Unwavering, can be found in Shadow Caches.
    • Iridescent Dragon Egg Fragments for Baesmuth, the Shaper's Gift, can be found randomly while mining.
    • Spinner Dragon Egg Fragments for Rachnaphon, the Silent Spectator, can be found as a rare drop from spiders in the Fae Forest biome.
    • Floral Dragon Egg Fragments for Petallura, Nature's Beckoning, can be found randomly from planted harvests.
    • Preserver Dragon Egg Fragments for Miraldis, the Primordial Preserver, can be found as a rare drop from dinosaurs in the Jurassic Jungle biome.
    • Ice Dragon Egg Fragments for Wyntegra, Galenor's Pride, can be found while mining ice shards in the Permafrost biome.
    • Kami Dragon Egg Fragments for Crisopeia, The Crucible of Souls, can be found as a rare drop from robots in the Neon City biome or from Shadow Vaults.
  • A new category, Ancestral Dragon, has been added to Collections to break up the large Legendary category and more accurately reflect the different methods of acquisition.

Trovian Atlas
  • The Portal Tower in the Hub World has been replaced with the Sun Goddess Statue!
  • The Sun Goddess Statue is surrounded by:
    • A Radiant Merchant, where Radiant Sovereigns can be spent on great rewards!
    • A Radiant Dayspring, where amazing new items can be earned with Daily Login tokens!
    • Three copies of the new Trovian Atlas (details below)!
  • The Trovian Atlas is a new visual representation of all the worlds in Trove, including the Prime Worlds, Drowned Worlds, Cursed Skylands, Igneous Islands, Shores of the Everdark, and the Shadow Tower Foyer. It’s basically an easy-to-use overworlds map that grants access to any world. (Yo block, we heard you like maps, so we put some maps in your map…)
  • Simply open the Trovian Atlas, select the desired world, select Enter, and let the adventure begin. (Power Rank requirements still apply!)
  • All existing Adventure World portals are still functional. However, going forward, none will be located in the hub. A personal copy of the Trovian Atlas may be obtainable in the future, but for now it only exists in the Hub World.

Fae Trickster Updates
  • The duration of Faerie Dance staves has been increased to 15s from 10s.
  • Faerie Dance staves now use player health and take 75% less damage.
  • The attack speed of Faerie Dance staves now shoot 20% faster.
  • Ego Blast now deals 20% more damage.
  • Glitterbomb now has a 0.5s stun and deals 33% more damage.

  • The explosion radius on Glitterbomb has increased to 3.5 from 3.0.
  • The Fae Trickster class gem, Faerocious Facsimile, has been temporarily removed from the class gem loot table until it can be improved. Existing copies of Faerocious Facsimile can continue to be used.
  • A completely new class gem has been added for Fae Tricksters! This new gem shields Ego Blast for one additional hit before the bonus damage is temporarily removed. It can be found in the Shores of the Everdark with a class gem key. Enjoy!

Requires 1 Bound Brillance, 3,000 water gem dust, 3,000 fire gem dust, 3,000 air gem dust, and 4,000 flux to craft.
  • Gem Booster Boxes have been rebalanced:

  • The “Select a Class” window can now be sorted by level, power rank, or availability. Sorting the same category a second time reverses the display order, making it easy to find classes with the lowest level or power rank.
    • Lunar Lancer: Provides extra Attack Speed; during combat, grants a chance to briefly transform into a Lunar Luncer and receive some of its power.
    • Ice Sage: Provides extra Magic Damage; activates a shield that absorbs incoming damage when successfully attacking foes.
    • Chloromancer: Provides extra Maximum Health; damaging enemies grants a chance to activate thistles and reflect incoming damage.

    • Spikewalker Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/2/3
    • Weeping Prophet Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/2/3
    • Vengeful Pinata God Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
    • Shadow Hydrakken Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
    • Darknik Dreadnought Mk II Normal/Hard/Ultra: 1/3/5
  • Previously, explosions only damaged Shadow Titans if they occurred near the center of the Titan. This bug has been fixed, and explosions now damage Shadow Titans if they hit any part of them.
  • Elite enemies can now spawn in the Shadow Tower. Each drops a guaranteed Shadow Shard, with a chance for one extra shard in Hard mode and two extra shards in Ultra.
  • An assortment of new enemies have migrated to the Shadow Tower.
  • Shields no longer prevent being killed by the Daughter of the Moon's one-shot attack.

  • Ego Blast now deals 20% more damage.
  • An Ego Blast crit is now 51% of base damage.
  • Glitterbomb now has a 0.5s stun and deals 33% more damage.
  • Glitterbomb no longer knocks back enemies.
Enjoy!

Hi there, and welcome!
We get a lot of questions on how to unlock the playable classes in Trove, so here’s a short list for you!
  • All classes can be played for a free trial period. Play up to level 4 on any class to test it out. Swap class by pressing J in game and selecting the class to try.
  • When you start Trove, you can pick your first class for free.
  • If you play RIFT (another Trion game) through the tutorial section, you can speak to a quest giver in your faction’s main city to unlock the Chloromancer class in Trove automatically.
  • At Mastery rank 3 in Trove you’ll unlock a Class Coin that you can use to unlock any class.
  • You'll also get a free Class Coin if you were referred to Trove by another player via our Refer-A-Friend program – this must occur before you reach Mastery rank 20.
  • When you reach Mastery rank 25 you’ll receive another free Class Coin.
  • You will earn a free class coin the first time you spend 5 dollars/Euro or more in Trove.

Additional classes can be unlocked with Credits or Class Coins, Making in game purchases helps support the game and allows us to continue to add new content to the game frequently.

You can also purchase Class Coins on the Marketplace using in game currency - the price on these will vary over time. Unlocking all of the remaining classes will take a long time, but if you’re willing invest that time, you can unlock them all without paying anything.
