Lionel was trying to save his friend, Argen from joining the dark side but Argen uses his power, trying to kill him, but it didn't. Lionel was left burried in the Cyberian Snow, paralyzed and severely burnt .
He was found by a group of Cyberian Scavengers and was brought to a lab. Lionel was screaming in pain as the scientists disected him and removed his organs. After they found out that Lionel is alive, they removed his brain and place it into an android exoskeleton.
Years later, he was awaken and used as a test subject to test out the Advanced Tactical Mobile Suit (ATMoS) Mark IV. After testing the suit, he's able to take full control of the suit and escaped the lab together with the suit. He called himself Novus, which comes from the suit's predecessor, the N.O.V.U.S.
Novus works as a vigilante who doesn't hesitate to blast any criminals with his cannons. His new body gives him superhuman strength and agility while the suit gives him a powerful arsenal, which makes him extremely deadly. Even those who don't fear the Trovian Defender will be traumatized when they saw the yellow and cyan lights of Novus.
