Geode Topside Adventure Worlds
  • 3 new worlds can be found on the Atlas linked to the Geode Hub – a U8, U9, and U10 version of the Geode Topside Worlds.
  • The Geode Topside Worlds have 3 biomes – the Cerise Sandsea, Hollow Dunes, and Weathered Wasteland.
  • 1-star, 3-star, and 5-star dungeons can be found throughout these biomes.
  • Outposts can also be found throughout the biomes – these offer several Outpost Adventures along with a Loot Collector and Personal Chest.
  • Cornerstones cannot be summoned in the Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
  • Veridium and Nitro-Glitterine ore can be found scattered throughout the Geode Topside. Nitro-Glitterine is rarer than Veridium.
  • The Geode Topside is affected by Daily Bonuses.
  • Recipes have been added to the Crystallogy workbench that require materials from the Geode Topside.
5-Star Dungeons
  • 5 Star Dungeons are a new type of dungeon found exclusively in Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
  • Enter the dungeon and find the Dark Heart within – interact with it to spawn Cursed Skulls and bosses.
  • Depending on how fast all 5 bosses are defeated, the player can receive a gold, silver, or bronze reward.
    • Gold rewards are limited to 1 per day and consist of 8 Crystalline Cores. A Gold reward is granted when more than 50% of the timer is remaining.
    • Silver rewards are limited to 2 per day and consist of 3 Crystalline Cores. A Silver reward is granted when more than 25% of the timer is remaining.
    • Bronze rewards are unlimited and consist of a Lesser Geodian Topside Cache. A Bronze reward is granted when all bosses are defeated before the timer expires.
  • Lesser Geodian Topside Caches are primarily a source of Crystalline Cores, but can also contain Pearls of Wisdom, Forge Fragments, or (rarely) Bound Brilliance or a tradable Forge Fragment Formulae.
Light and Dark
  • 2 new stats have been introduced – Light and Darkness.
  • Light can be found on Crystal Equipment and Cosmic Gems. Light cannot be removed from these items.
  • Darkness is only found on monsters inhabiting the Geode Topside Adventure Worlds. Light is required to overcome their Darkness and damage them.
  • Light is required both to enter and be eligible for loot in U9 and U10 Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
Gems
  • All new lesser gems of Shadow Rarity and above now have stats consistent with either Fierce or Arcane Gems. Fierce Gems always grant Physical Damage, while Arcane Gems always grant Magical Damage.
  • A Fierce Gem can never reroll in to the Magic Damage stat, and an Arcane Gem can never reroll in to the Physical Damage stat.
  • Gems can no longer crack while leveling. Because of this, Jade Clovers can no longer be used while leveling gems. Jade Clovers can still be converted in to Glistening Horseshoes on the Adventurer’s Crafting Bench.
  • Gems now have a higher chance to both naturally level up and double level up while leveling.
  • The contents of lesser Gem Boxes have changed, and they have been renamed to match their source world rather than their previous default rarity.
    • Beginner's Gem Boxes now drop from Uber-1 and Uber-2 worlds, and commonly contain Uncommon Gems, uncommonly contain Epic Gems, and rarely contain Relic Gems.
    • Uber-3 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Epic Gems, uncommonly contain Relic Gems, and rarely contain Resplendent Gems.
    • Uber-4 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Epic Gems, uncommonly contain Relic Gems, and rarely contain Shadow Gems.
    • Uber-5 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Relic Gems, uncommonly contain Resplendent Gems, and rarely contain Shadow Gems.
    • Uber-6 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Relic Gems, uncommonly contain Shadow Gems, and rarely contain Radiant Gems.
    • Uber-7 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Resplendent Gems, uncommonly contain Shadow Gems, and rarely contain Radiant Gems.
    • Uber-8 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Shadow Gems, uncommonly contain Radiant Gems, and rarely contain Radiant Gems.
    • Uber-9 Gem Boxes now commonly contain Shadow Gems, uncommonly contain Radiant Gems, and rarely contain Stellar Gems.
  • A new augment has been added, the Contained Chaos Flare. This augment allows players to move one of the 5/10/15 level stat boosts from one stat on a gem to another stat at random.
  • Contained Chaos Flares can be crafted at the Adventurer’s Crafting Bench or found in Lustrous Gem Boxes.
  • Lustrous Gem Boxes no longer contain Gem Dust.
  • Lustrous Gem Boxes now drop 2 at a time for Patrons on Wednesdays. Players now receive 3 total Lustrous Gem Box drops on Wednesday regardless of their Patron status.
  • The 2nd Lesser Fire Gem Socket now unlocks at level 29 instead of 30.
Cosmic Gems
  • A new type of gem has appeared – Cosmic Gems!
  • Lesser Cosmic Gems come only from Cosmic Gem Boxes, and are not available in the Gem Boxes from Prime Worlds.
  • Empowered Cosmic Gems can drop from existing Empowered Gem Boxes. A Cosmic Empowered Gem Box can additionally be crafted from high tier Crystallogy.
  • The Empowered Cosmic Gem Socket unlocks at level 25. The Lesser Cosmic Gem Sockets unlock at level 27 and 30.
  • 4 new abilities have been introduced for Empowered Cosmic Gems:
    • Berserk Battler – Damaging enemies causes a frenzied state, adding a small increase to attack speed and Light. Continued damage to enemies extends the frenzied state until it causes a berserk state, greatly increasing attack speed and Light.
    • Flower Power – Taking damage has a chance to spawn a blast flower which will decay and explode, damaging nearby enemies.
    • Empyrean Barrier – Periodically applies a shield that reduces incoming damage. When the shield is destroyed it explodes, damaging nearby enemies.
    • Vampirian Vanquisher – Dealing critical hits has a chance to increase movement speed and cause the next hit to leech health.
  • Summoning Amberine on the Rally of Heroes will offer an adventure to find 5 cosmic gem boxes in any Geode Topside World. Amberine’s spawn rate and rarity have been adjusted to match other similar Heroes.
Crystal Rarity
  • Crystal Hats, Faces, and Weapons can now drop from lair and dungeon chests in Geode Topside Adventure Worlds.
  • There are 3 tiers of Crystal rarity – Crystal 1, 2, and 3. Crystal 2 equipment can only be found in U9+, and Crystal 3 equipment can only be found in U10.
  • Crystal equipment can have 1-5 stars – the star level of Crystal items can be upgraded at the Forge.
  • Stellar and Crystal equipment return pearls when deconstructed.
  • Crystal equipment drops with a new Crystal style for each equipment slot.
  • Crystal Weapons and Faces can drop with Magic Find in the 3rd Stat slot.
  • Magic Find works differently for Crystal rarity. While higher values of Magic Find will still increase the chance of finding Crystal rarity items, even players with low Magic Find values should regularly find equipment of Crystal rarity.
New Expertise Threads
  • A new Expertise Thread to explain gems has been added to the Expertise tab of the Adventures Activities. This is available for all players above level 10. Complete the Gems thread for experience, a Stellar Mask, Gemsly (a new rare Ally), and a new Badge.
  • A new Expertise Thread to assist players access the Geode Topside is now available at 5,000 PR.
Atlas
  • The Atlas can now be accessed from anywhere through the Navigation Menu.
  • The Atlas is still physically accessible in the Trove Hub.
  • The Atlas has also replaced the Trove Portal in the Geode Hub.
Store
  • New additions to the Store:
    • The Augmented Maniac Pack contains a tradable Sun and Moon Stellar Aura, a tradable Tome: Empowered Gem Box, 5 Class Gem Keys, 20 Empowered Gem Boxes, 200 Gem Booster Boxes, 20 Lustrous Gem Boxes, and 20 Builder’s Superior Focuses.
    • Dragon Coin Boosts – these 50, 100, or 250 Dragon Coin Boosts will double all the Dragon Coins received from any source until 50, 100, or 250 coins have been doubled. Note that these boosts cannot be stacked.
    • Greater Geodian Topside Caches are now available in the store on the Geode tab! Get valuable Geodian Topside crafting materials, radiant sovereigns, gem augments, or (rarely) tradable mounts, allies, tomes, and costumes. Buy 33 and earn a Glowing Geodian Topside Cache, which always contains a rare result from the Greater Geodian Topside Caches!
  • The Amperium Dragon Pack, Resistor Dragon Pack, and Greater Neon Caches have been retired from the store. They may return later on special occasions.
  • The store now has a New tab, where newly available products will appear.
  • Jade Clovers have been removed from most areas of the store and replaced with an appropriate amount of Glistening Horseshoes instead. The Jade Clover Tome is still available.
Star Bar
  • Reach for the Stars! The Starbar can now be filled MULTIPLE TIMES each day, up to 5 total.
  • The first time the Starbar is filled each day will grant:
    • Non-Patrons: 500 cubits and 500 flux
    • Patrons: 1500 cubits and 1500 flux
  • Each subsequent time filling it will grant:
    • Non-Patrons: 100 cubits and a Starglint Pinata

  • Note that this will only take effect on the day after the patch.

Hey folks,

We're adding more info to the patch notes to add some additional clarity.
  • A gold reward is granted when there is 50% of the timer remaining.
  • A silver reward is granted when there is 25% of the timer remaining.

This wasn't something we specifically set out to keep from the patch notes. This value may still change, depending on how the current values feel on live servers. If any additional changes are made we'll be sure to call those out at that time.

The post is quite long, so we won't preview it right now. Show

Additional Updates
  • Crystalline Cores now enter the world primarily from beating the timer in 5-star dungeons.
Their drop rates and the cost of upgrades have been adjusted:
    • Beating the 5-star dungeon timer can now grant a gold, silver, or bronze reward depending on how much time is remaining.
    • A Gold reward can be received once a day, and grants 8 Crystalline Cores.
    • A Silver reward can be received twice a day, and grants 3 Crystalline Cores.
    • A Bronze reward can be received endlessly, and grants 1 Crystalline Core.
    • Players can check the number of rewards remaining that day by using /adventurerewards.
    • Lesser Geode Surface Caches still exist, but will now drop randomly from 5-star dungeon NPCs (more common as uber level goes up).
    • The Crystalline Core Compendium now grants 50 per week. Note: Crafting costs for items which require or produce crystalline cores (except where mentioned above) and forge fragments have not yet been updated, but will be soon.
  • The amount of cosmic gem dust obtained from loot collecting Crystal gear has been reduced. For Crystal 2 and 3 gear, the amount of Forge Fragments obtained from loot collecting has been increased.
  • Contained Chaos Flares now transfer other augments along with them.
  • The Light curve has been adjusted slightly - players at minimal or maximal values of Light may notice a damage difference.
  • Fixed haptic feedback on controllers when the player runs out of jumps. Also removed haptic feedback from occurring when a challenge is about to end.

The post is quite long, so we won't preview it right now. Show

Geode
  • Rowan has been sending out an SOS, and the Trovians have responded! It's time to go visit that mysterious cube that's been showing up on the Atlas.
  • Geode is a whole new world with its own Hub. Explore the caves of Geode, meet new Companions, and gather resources to level Crystallogy.
  • To the East of the Trove Hub is the giant SS Solidarity that'll carry any Trovian to Geode - just look for the Geode portal on the ground or climb up the ship. Geode can also be accessed via the Atlas.
  • Follow the Geode Expertise Thread to get an explanation of all things Geode. It will start automatically the first time you zone in to Geode. All but the first of these Adventures will grant class experience upon completion along with the various item rewards.
  • Daily Bonuses do not apply when you're on the planet Geode, except XP day.

Geode - Sanctuary
  • Sunseeker Spire - the Geode Hub is where all the Geodians from the largest Boulder to the smallest Pebble have gathered to resist the Shadows.
  • The Geode Hub consists of four levels:
    • The 1st level is where portals to the Geode Caves can be found along with a module forge and module workbench.
    • The 2nd level is Crafter’s Commons. Around the edges of this level can be found:
      • The Crystallogy Center, where Sunseeker Lazul teaches about Crystallogy, an ancient Geodian profession
      • The Companion Ranch where Sunseeker Gabbro awaits to assist with hatching or training Companions
    • The 3rd level is Sunseeker Square, where the Sunseekers make their home. Around the edges of this level can be found:
      • The Reliquary Research Center for all Reliquary-related needs
      • The Bomber Royale Blastadium for all Bomber Royale rewards
    • The 4th level is Sunseeker Landing - access this area to go back to the Trove Hub. The Blue Transit Portal in Crafter’s Commons will fast travel right there!
  • Travel between levels using either the Transit Portals or the airavators (built with the new Anti-gravity blocks).
  • Three new repeatable Adventures are available from assistant Pebbles found near Lazul, Th’lan, and Gabbro. These Adventures reward class experience and Lesser Crystal Caches for the first 20 completions per day.
  • Sunseeker Spire is protected by a massive energy shield that keeps the Shadows out and the Geodians in. The surface outside the shield is too dangerous for Trovians currently. Once the Trovians are better prepared, they will be able to venture beyond the barrier and into the Geodian wilderness.

Geode Caves
  • Travel through 3 new environments to gather resources, upgrade new modules, and meet a new set of creatures.
  • Geodians are usually pacifists, so aggressive abilities are not allowed in the caves - instead there are Modules to assist in cave journeys.
  • The atmosphere of the caves is intense and difficult for Trovian life – no mounts, wings, or allies can be summoned in the caves.
  • Up to 14 players can be found in the same cave at a time. Players cannot be invited in to caves.
  • All caves have up to 5 tiers. Travel through airlocks in order to reach deeper tiers of the caves.
  • Look for signs in the cave that point to lairs – lairs can contain a jackpot of resources, sometimes including a Bronze Companion Egg!
  • All caves contain Gleamstone, Builderite, Ancient Gears, Day Drops, Moonlit Moss, and Wallflowers.
  • The Moonglow Grotto is a predominantly purple cave that uniquely contains Moonstone, Quirkstone, Lunarium, Dream Dew, Acrobat Bark, and Queen Trumpets.
  • The Sunken Sunvault is a predominantly orange cave that uniquely contains Blazine, Sparkzite, Everlight, Sun Sap, Cave Birds, and Fireheart Flowers.
  • The Verdant Veins is a predominantly green cave that uniquely contains Geminite, Chronozine, Mightstone, Cave Kelp, Cogwine, and Builder’s Blossoms.
  • Watch out for hazards - the caves contain explosive plants, fire flowers which will drain N-charge, and creatures.
  • Creatures can be injured, hungry, cold, or overburdened with treasure. Solve their problems to receive crystals or Lesser Crystal Caches!
  • Lesser Crystal Caches can contain crystals or (rarely) Crystal Pinatas, Drillbits, or Bronze Companion Eggs.
  • Drillbits can be used to craft the Bovine Buildmaster or Rocket Drill mounts.

Reliquaries
  • Reliquaries are resource caches which can be equipped while exploring the Geode caves to charge them up.
  • Reliquaries are charged up by feeding, healing, and comforting creatures in the caves.
  • After a Reliquary is fully charged, take it to the Reliquary Cracker in the Geode Hub to open it!
  • Reliquaries can have their chances of an uncommon or rare result improved through the use of Lodestars.
  • Most Reliquaries will take 6 hours to open, while rare Reliquaries will take 2 hours.
  • Accelerite can be applied to speed up Reliquary opening - each Accelerite consumed will reduce the time by 2 hours.
  • Additional Reliquary slots can be obtained using Space Expanders.

Modules
  • Modules are a new type of equipment that will assist progress through the Geode Caves.
  • There are 8 modules, and all can be leveled 10 times. Leveled modules are more efficient in even the early cave tiers.
    • The Geodian Acclimation System (GAS) controls how long the player can survive in the caves. Upgrading it allows for longer, deeper cave dives. When you're out of GAS, you're out!
    • N-Charge powers the other modules - upgrade it to stay stronger longer.
    • The Omni-Tool allows the player to harvest Geodian blocks and interact with cave creatures. Upgrade it to mine faster or further.
    • The Climbing Claw allows the player to grapple to any location within range or to stun cave creatures. Upgrade it to travel faster or further and stun stronger creatures.
    • Rocket Boots allow the player to hover or travel upwards to reach resources that might otherwise be difficult.
    • The Thumper makes crystals and ore visible that would otherwise be hidden.
    • Barrier Generator protects against fire flowers and other hazards.
    • Path Painter allows for marking paths. While staying on a marked path, movement speed is increased.

Companions
  • Companions are cave creatures who've been raised to assist the player in the caves.
  • There are 8 types of companions with 3 different rarity tiers.
  • All Companions grant various benefits when taken on journeys in to the Geode Caves.
  • Companions can be hatched from Bronze, Silver, or Gold Companion Eggs. Gold Companion Eggs are always a rare result, while Silver Companion Eggs are always an uncommon or rare.
  • Companion Eggs can be hatched in the Egg Incubator found in the Geode Hub near Gabbro.
  • Bronze Companion Eggs can have their chances of an uncommon or rare result improved through the use of Lodestars.
  • Companion Eggs will take some time to hatch - Bronze Companion Eggs will hatch in 10 hours, while Silver and Gold Companion Eggs hatch in 2 hours.
  • Accelerite can be applied to speed up Egg hatching - each Accelerite consumed will reduce the time by 2 hours.
  • Companions can be trained in the Companion Trainer found next to the Incubator. Training Companions will add new benefits or increase existing ones.
  • Any unwanted Companions (you monster) can be sent to find a much better, actually loving home by using the Forever Home Finder near the Egg Incubator.

Crystallogy
  • Crystallogy is a new profession found in the Geode Hub.
  • Gain resources while in the Geode Caves in order to level up this profession and craft all the recipes.
  • This profession has recipes for items to assist cave travel in various ways, including assisting cave creatures, tomes for Geodian resources, costumes, and even Space Expanders to add additional reliquary or incubator slots.
  • New VFX Blocks can be crafted from this profession. Add a range of vfx to a cornerstone or club world with these blocks.
  • New Anti-gravity blocks can also be crafted from this profession. Add an airavator to a cornerstone or club world with these new blocks!
  • A new Geode Biome workbench has been added to the Crystallogy Center. Recipe unlockers for the recipes on this workbench can be crafted via Crystallogy.

Bomber Royale
  • Bomber Royale is a new competitive combat mode that can be accessed via a top level menu item – it’s literally the bomb.
  • Up to 20 players can join in a Bomber Royale match, although the match will start 15 seconds after 15 players are queued.
  • Players will start on a glass platform that deconstructs, eventually dropping them to the actual map.
  • Bomber Royale maps are completely destructible and will randomly deconstruct themselves over time. The goal is to be the last player standing - literally!
  • Bomber Royale is completely independent of class abilities - every player starts equipped with Rubber Bombs and a Climbing Claw. All players also have the same health and energy amounts.
    • Rubber Bombs are a thrown explosive that bounce off the first surface they hit and explode on the second surface. They consume energy when thrown and will damage other players.
    • The Climbing Claw is a grappling hook that pulls the player to the target location.
    • Several power ups are available across the map:
    • Rubber Bomb power ups decrease the energy cost of throwing a Rubber Bomb
    • Climbing Claw power ups decrease the cooldown of the Climbing Claw ability
    • Health power ups heal the player when triggered - but also slow them down! Only one can be held at a time.
    • Lava Bomb power ups change the next 3 Rubber Bombs thrown to Lava Bombs - these will turn the area in to lava, including any water
    • Sticky Bomb power ups grant the Sticky Bomb on the first pick up, and reduce the cooldown on subsequent gains. The Sticky Bomb does not bounce - it lands in one spot and explodes 5 seconds later.
    • Bomb Jump power up grants the use of the Bomb Jump ability. Bomb Jump gives the player a little escape ability - use it to quickly blast out of the way or knock back an opponent.
  • The last 10 players standing will receive the following rewards:
    • 3 coins to the last player standing
    • 2 coins to the last 2-4 players standing
    • 1 coin to the last 5-10 players standing
  • The first player to kill an opponent will also receive a coin.
  • Coins can be redeemed for rewards at the Bomber Royale Merchant in the Geode Hub.

  • To accommodate the new items added in Geode, 2 new inventory tabs have been added.

  • The Geode inventory tab will have the same amount of unlocked space as the Adventure and Build mode inventory.

These are different from previous login rewards, so they will work well for everyone. With this specific reward you'll get one reward per day for each of your first seven logins. If you can't login over the weekend, you'll get the reward for whatever day you left off the next time you login.

Adventures Window
  • The Adventures Window is a consolidated place to view all available Adventures (formerly known as the golden thread). Press the Menu button on XB1, the Options Button on PS4, or the “I” key on PC to access it.
  • Choose what to show in the HUD: Club Adventures, Event Adventures, or Expertise Adventures. Even control whether to see the Star Bar or Tomes Bar.
  • All new players who hit character level 8 will gain a new series of Expertise Adventures teaching them how to build, bomb, collect recipes, craft, place Frameworks, create Workbenches, and more. Older players will also receive these Adventures.
  • The option to hide challenges and objectives has been moved out of settings and can now be found in the Adventures Window.
Frameworks
  • Framework recipes have been added to the Workbench, Forbidden Workbench, Haunted Workbench, Candy Workbench, Store, and Mastery Rewards. These new recipes allow players to craft and place entire structures in their Club World.
  • The Forbidden Workbench now has Advanced Frameworks. These recipes have a rare chance to drop from Forbidden Spires recipe dungeons.
  • The Radiant Watchtower and Shadowy Watchtower can be found in the store, each of which grant one ready to place framework and unlock the recipe.
  • Once placed, these Frameworks cannot be picked up again. They can only be deconstructed into individual blocks and decorations.
  • Blocks that overlap where a Framework are placed are dropped as loot.
Forbidden Spires Biome
  • The Forbidden Spires, a peaceful and ancient place, has been discovered. This biome appears in low-level worlds, and is the featured biome in Uber-6.
  • A new crafting material, Cinnabar, can be found in the Forbidden Spires biome.
  • New Forbidden Spires decoration recipes have been added to the recipe dungeons in the biome.
  • A new workbench, the Forbidden workbench, has been added to the Builder’s Crafting Bench. Craft one to craft Forbidden Spires decorations and frameworks.
  • Monsters in the Forbidden Spires biome will rarely drop Fiery Feathers. Collect 100 along with other materials to craft Onbari, Empress of the Southern Skies on the Forbidden workbench.
  • Panda Mounts can now be crafted on the Adventurer's Crafting Bench using Panda Talismans, which are rarely found in Uber 8 and higher adventure worlds.
  • The Spire Spirits Adventure Box – containing the Frolicksome Fox Spirit and Crimson-Crested Crane mounts – can now drop from any world.
Tethering [Public Evaluation]
  • Tethers are a new way for players to group up and share XP and loot. Each tether gets an icon and name, and by default these appear in nameplates and in the upper left corner of the UI.
  • To create a tether, just use the Tether hotkey and look at another player to automatically invite them to a tether. The same hotkey can be used to leave an existing tether or kick another player. (Only the tether’s leader can kick a member.)
  • By default, the tethering hotkey is Ctrl-E on PC. On Xbox and PS4, tethering actions can be performed by holding down the button used to switch between adventure and build mode.
  • XP and loot from killing NPCs is now distributed only to individual players and members of a tether that have dealt damage to that NPC.
  • Players who move 500 blocks away from the tether’s leader will automatically be kicked after 30 seconds.
  • Options for Tethering can be found under Settings > Social. Tethers can be automatically rejected from all sources, automatically accepted from friends and club members, automatically accepted from anyone, or set to always manually accept or decline. The display of Tethering icons can be set to show only the player’s icon on the nameplate, everyone’s icons, or no one’s icons.
  • We're aware that there may be concerns about how loot (and not experience) is distributed as a result of two different tethers competing over a lair/dungeon boss chest. In some cases, the first tether was able to disarm the chest and collect loot before any members from the secondary tether could damage the chest. Tethering is still in the "Public Evaluation" phase at the release of the Adventures expansion so it's highly likely this will change, or tethering will be removed, as a result of live feedback on this topic.
Mastery
  • Mastery rewards have been extended past Mastery Rank 300.
  • The mastery tab in the character sheet has been adjusted to make it easier to find relevant information. Mastery is now displayed in chunks of 50 or 100 – complete 1 chunk to unlock the next!
  • Early mastery rewards have been reworked to more clearly call out when Marketplace, Trading Post, and forum posting privileges are unlocked.

  • New mastery rewards at 100 (the Dragon Horde Deposition Tome), 250 (a Golden Dragon Effigy), and 260 (Goldwing Falkanzer Cub Ally) replace Chaos Coins or Golden Chaos Chests at these levels. Any player above these Mastery levels will receive the new rewards upon first login.
  • The Mastery Points required to achieve Mastery Rank 0-300 is unchanged. Above 300, players will need half the targeted Mastery Rank in Mastery Points to Progress. For example, 150 Mastery Points are needed to achieve Mastery Rank 301. 300 Mastery Points are required to achieve Mastery Rank 600.
  • Players with enough Mastery Points will jump from 300 to the appropriate Mastery Rank and receive all the benefits immediately.
  • There’s no longer an extra chaos factor granted for being at Mastery cap.
  • The bonus damage from each Mastery level has been reduced from .2% down to .15%

I've updated the original post to mention that there are no more item rewards for Mastery at all (and remove the error in how Mastery is totaled). The top 2,000 players per platform will have a gold name as the reward for the Mastery leaderboard.

The post is quite long, so we won't preview it right now. Show

  • New mastery rewards have been added at 220 (5 Radiant Sovereigns) and 270 (the Eclipse Key Codex), filling existing gaps. Any player who would have earned these will receive them upon first login.
  • The bonus damage from each Mastery level has been reduced from .2% down to .15%
  • New rewards include:
    • Dragon Horde Deposition – a new tome which grants 15 dragon coins and 1 Trove of Wonders once a week

  • A new leaderboard has been added for Weekly World Boss defeats. This tracks defeats of T-Rexes in Jurassic Jungle along with Flakbeard, Thallasion, and Dracocolatl defeats. The top 300 players on this leaderboard each week will each earn 10 Party Animal Pinatas.

  • A new leaderboard has been added that tracks Weekly Dungeon Clears. Rank in the top 30,000 Dungeon Clearers to earn an Empowered Gem Box!
  • The Mastery leaderboard has been redesigned, following changes to the Mastery system. This leaderboard now grants a unique name tint to the top 2000 players for Mastery rating each week. Rewards which used to be available from placing on the Mastery leaderboard are now instead available through the above new leaderboards.
  • Weekly contests for Defeating Enemies and Opening Boxes now occur more frequently.

Calling all Trovians!

My name is Ricky “Din Othar” White, Senior Producer for Trove, and I'm here to offer you a look at the great content the team has been preparing for you over the last months. This is literally the first time these features have been revealed and I’m delighted to let you be the first to know.

I am ecstatic to announce that Trove - Adventures, a massive free content expansion for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, will release on November 14th! Including features requested by you, the Trove community, this update evolves the expansive Trove geography, and has some very cool surprises that we know you’re going to love. This is the highly anticipated “club update” that we’ve been hinting at, so let’s take a deeper look at what it brings to the table!

Clubs and Adventures
Clubs can now level up! Clubs gain experience through participation in the new Adventure system. As a club’s level increases, slots are unlocked to support new types of structures called fixtures. These fixtures provide stats, boosts, and bonuses, some that have never been seen before in Trove. I have two fixtures that I absolutely love in Trove - Adventures: one adds a new Gem Efficiency stat that reduces the amount of dust required to upgrade gems, and the other gives you the Double Hit stat that grants a chance to deal double damage in combat! At the release of the update, we’ll include 18 different fixtures, each of which can be upgraded twice, creating a ton of different combos. It’ll be up to your club’s leadership to decide which fixtures are placed down at a given time and in what order they are upgraded!

Players of all levels can use the new Club Adventure Portals located in the Club Headquarters at the Hub World. After jumping through the portal, they’ll arrive at a club’s Adventure Fixture, the home for our new Adventure NPCs. Admins of that club will spawn NPCs like Davey Drowner the Skeletal Pirrot or Snackle the Golden Chaos Chest Mimic. These NPCs give out exciting new adventures that anyone can take on, ranging from simple, like fishing up an old boot, to challenging, like defeating a Shadow Titan! There’s a rumor that Ganda the Sky Shepherd can spawn in a club world as an adventure NPC – will you be the first to discover if it’s true?

Additionally, Club permissions just got a whole lot better, as club leaders can now link individual permissions to ranks. The system is fully customizable, letting leaders decide who can do what! We’ve added a couple new ranks like President, the sole leader of a club, and Enforcer - you know - the person who really gets stuff done. Players will also designate one of their five clubs as their “main club”, enabling them to receive fixture benefits from it.

The Forbidden Spires
The thing I’m most excited about though is an amazing new biome called the Forbidden Spires! This great new Eastern-themed landscape visually replaces the Uber-6 prime world and appears randomly in other prime worlds. Explore its magnificent peaks and valleys while adventuring through all-new dungeons, obtaining great décor recipes, gathering the new mining resource known as cinnabar, and collecting feathers to craft your very own Ancient Phoenix mount!

Mastery and Leaderboards
The mastery system is now uncapped, allowing you to gain benefits for all the mastery points you’ve accumulated! We expect the top mastery players to reach the mid-500s with this update, with infinite room to grow in the future. Some adjustments have been made to the passive stats granted by each mastery rank to consider the uncapped nature of this system. Time to get your collecting on; will you be among the first to unlock the new Mastery Pegasus?

We’re also ready to release the highly anticipated changes to leaderboards. All Power Rank and Mastery leaderboards have been adjusted so players with the highest score per week are ranked the highest - meaning that all players will need to put in weekly effort if they want to be eligible for great rewards. Gold names will now be awarded to the top 2,000 Trove players per platform that have the highest Mastery totals week over week. I can’t wait to see which of our clubs place the highest on our new Club Power Rank leaderboard! A club’s Power Rank is calculated based on the combined Power Rank of its top 50 members, and the President of a top 20 club will receive a coveted blue name for a week!

More Great Stuff
But that’s not all…. Here’s a summary of the other features included in this colossal update.
  • New Tutorial – Learn how to play Trove in style with this new walkthrough![/*]
  • Adventure Window – An awesome way to track adventures, events, challenges, dungeons, tome progress, and your daily cubit bar.[/*]
  • LED Blocks – A new vibrant block type that can be set to various blinking cycles. Mostly, you use it to make some really cool signs. I mean, I make cool signs with them.[/*]
  • Frameworks – Pre-constructed block arrangements that can be placed down all at once in your club world. BAM! A wild castle appeared.[/*]
  • Plasma Fishing – It’s finally here! Fish in plasma to your heart’s content.[/*]
  • Forged Stellar Souls – Stellar items can now be loot collected, resulting in Forged Stellar Souls instead of Forged Radiant Souls.[/*]
  • Radiant and Stellar Rings – 250 skill Ringcrafters can use Radiant, and Stellar Souls to create these great new rings! If you like it, then you shoulda put…I’ll show myself out.[/*]

Over the next month as we work our way up to the release of Adventures, we’ll dish out even more info on this exciting new stuff. If you want to experience everything I just talked about, then head on over to our Public Test Server later this week for a full content preview. Your feedback is warmly welcomed. You’ll even be able to copy your live character over to our test servers!

That’s all for now, and I hope you’re as hyped for Trove - Adventures as I am. Stay connected with us by watching our Friday Livestreams at twitch.tv/trionworlds, and follow us on social media at Twitter.com/TroveGame and Facebook.com/TroveGame.

See you in Trove!

Blocky Bonus
  • Starting with this hotfix on PC and Xbox One (and by October 4th for PlayStation 4) there's a great new mount, Sabaddar, Summer’s Rapture (pictured above), available in the Store - just log in and claim it from the Deals tab.
    • Please note this does require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Gold Live on their respective platforms.
  • This free bonus item will be available for only a few weeks, so don't miss out!

Gameplay Improvements
  • Due to player feedback, the Shadow Tower difficulties have been reevaluated and the health and damage on Normal and Hard modes have been reduced to allow a smoother transition between floors.
  • The required Power Rank to enter the Lobby along with floors 1 and 2 on Normal Mode has been reduced from 400 PR to 250 PR. It is not advisable for characters at 250 PR to attempt to solo the Shadow Tower on Normal, so bring a few friends!
  • In the Shadow Tower Lobby there are now 5 portals for each difficulty to help ease congestion
  • Entering the Sky Realm and Shadow Tower now corresponds correctly with the listed Power Rank requirement
  • Due to player feedback, Binding Darkness no longer drops from Empowered Gem Boxes, and the rates of Gems and Class Gem Key Fragments are boosted
  • The Gem Forge UI now displays a boost counter for each stat – a small square indicates the stat received a large increase on level 5, 10, or 15. Gems that started with 2 stats will receive the 3rd stat on reaching level 5 rather than a large increase, so they will only have 2 squares after level 15. Gems that started with 3 stats will have 3 squares.
Additional Updates
  • Fixed a common server crash
  • Added golden dragon eggs for Wyntegra, Miraldis, and Indurion to the Greater Dragon Caches
  • Fixed the incorrect incoming damage stat on the Personal Spikebot ally
  • Allies and Mounts crafted in the Radiant Dayspring now unlock directly into collections
  • The previously confused dragon, Baesmuth, now indicates it grants +50 Lasermancy (instead of +50 Mining)
