About the project

The aim of the class art project is to create high quality art of a similar style for all the classes in the game. For this we had to choose a single artist, but that doesn't mean we don't love and want to support all the others.

Artists Note

"The Dino Tamer was a very interesting piece to work on, considering I didn't have much time to actually play the class! I took inspiration from Jurassic World and the Tomb Raider: Anniversary Trailer, and wanted to play around with a misty atmosphere."

I really like the pose it makes me think that he has a cameraman with him and we the person viewing the art are said cameraman so it feels like anyone whos looks at this piece feels like they are part of the action. :)

I love the art and the emotion. But there is something missing, i just dont know what it is but there is something missing...

Nice art. I think adding more futuristic detail or aura to the character will make it better to par it with the Dino Tamer's story background.

I really like the color pallete used here, as well as the little "pop" that the Tamer's scarf gives the whole drawing. Definitely a cute piece with a great atmosphere. One thing that I try to really emphasize that all artists of all skill levels use when drawing figures is to use real-life anatomy references, regardless of how "cartoony" then end picture will turn out. Using real-life references to help with poses, anatomy, and other muscle and skeletal structures can really solidify a piece because it can help eliminate any distracting errors with perspective and anatomy. References can also be used to help with clothes and things like weapons. A good ol Google search can yield a plethora of helpful images, as well as sites such as DeviantART. Keep up the great work!

The timelapse that was included this time was really interesting. Gave some insight and perspective on the process of drawing these works of art.

That does remind of the "clever girl" scene in JP...xD Nice art by the way!

It kinda look like a gunslinger with the color choice but then again it is amazing tho

As always, it is amazing, but I prefer the others you'd done.

well then where to begin lets start with the bad parts well the arms arent quite that well proportionated compared to the other body parts ; the head seems to be a bit short and let us just say his other hand could be better off holding a chunk of meat , or a torch , or maybe even his secondary net to make it a bit interesting. now for the good parts overall the drawing is good the colors are not bad either, the rain , jungle and the man eating dinosaurs fit together over all i can say you guys did well but it is still improvable, then again dont let one opnion let stop you from doing what you love and if i should rate it from 1- 10 it would be an 8.63

Okay, to begin, I need to say that it looks absolutely amazing.

I like your use of light, and the way everything looks dark and shadowy, but maybe you could have added a little more detail to the background. Also, the creases on the actual Dino Tamer's top aren't that enhanced; maybe you could have changed that a bit. The pistol also needs to be shaded a little more

Overall, I love the way you added those small vine pictures, and the drawing looks brilliant as usual :3.

I thought a whip would be nice, but its really cool

Oh god I love thisss!

I feel as though the artist should've snuck in a little piece of meat stickin out of his pocket, just to emphasize the fact that he's attempting to find a dinosaur to tame, hence the class name Dino Tamer.

The scene is very dramatic. Not only the backround rain that is making it, but also his expression says it all.

A shame that you wont be continuing them but i wish you the best for whatever you have planned. A darker background for a dense forest where the predator soon becomes the prey of the tamer, "stay back, got this" The touch of the fog looks very nice, the rain would drench him though, get a coat on man!

Not my overall favourite but still a lovely piece.

Its a pretty good piece of art, but wouldve been much more lovely to emphasize the dinosaurs in it.

I Saw your other arts Alycia And Personally to me,The art looks a bit dull and dark compared to your other arts that almost allways been so colourfull, alltho it does fit the atmosphere of the biom itself in the game, i really feel like you could of made it so much better, but then again you said you didn't have much time so it goes to show how much amazing stuff with not a lot of time you can make, wish you luck in the next drawing and have fun!

I know the darker fits with the biome and all but I think the art as a group should fit more the same style.  I like the Candy barb style a bit better than this one.  Bright and flashy :)

Personally, I like the other class arts better than this one. However this one is still well made with the same style as the others. It really gives a sort of ominous feel of the deep dark forests. I'm sad to hear Lushie won't be able to make more art, I was hoping to see her make Chloromancer, but I can understand that sometimes Life can get in the way of things and is more importent to some people.

I like the other class art better.  This one is still quite good, but I feel like the is a disconnect between the environment and the dino tamer: the rain looks like it's coming down rather heavily, but he doesn't look soaked.  To me, that makes it look like he doesn't fit in with the whole picture.

Raining effect is good, with the atmosphere.

It would be nice if the backgrounds were added with few more dinosaurs.

Not as flashy as the others, but very fitting. Great atmosphere.

Well I have to say you did really great job on this one. And yeah the gun is how can I say this out of shape I guess. But other than that it's great! It feels like I'm hiding in the bushes or behind the tree and you're telling me to stay low. It really feels like youre in that picture. Nice job!!!

Looks great! He's looks alot like Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series

i like that wierd dinsaur in the background.

I like it overall, but one small thing. The gun is too disproportionately big...

Looks cautious and dangerous at the same time. Amazing.

Pretty good

This piece definitely feels different from the other ones, but it's probably a function of the new class/biome being pictured. Other classes are so mystical and this one is very down-to-Earth (prehistoric Earth but still).

Pretty great piece of art, just keep like that.

This is the coolest art what i ever seen.Great job.

I love the jungle vibe it gives, very fitting and very cool!

I quite liked the mist as it added more depth to the picture. Looks really great, always imagined the dino tamer to look like that. Also, I think the new Candy Barbarian looked really great compared to the old one! Your Dino tamer art is now one of my favourite pieces u have done, gonna make it one of my wallpapers.

The misty atmosphere gives an ominous feel to it!

I like it however, I don't know if it's just me but the face seems... off proportion?  Otherwise, AMAZING like all your other works.  Keep at it!

Yeah it looked like Chris Pratt from Jurrasic World, thats cool, just don't know how his hair can stand like that in the rain.

Overall its a nice art.

:O looks good! Love the dark tone to it and the way DT was drawn it kind of reminds me of the dude from "Jurrasic World" :p

It more simplified than the other class artwork, but that's a charm on its own.

Great use of shading and placement of items that made it an overall creepy feel. I think its great, how the rain didnt cover up to much and gave the feel a really nice boost. Good job Lushie!

I like the darker tone it seems to have to it, and almost gives me a jurassic park feel.

I am not sure why exactly, but I find this one less "Trove styled" than the rest, but this may be bacause DT is still new.

That is an amazing drawing, way better than my entry for the dino tamer art contest.

The attention to detail is crazy, I love the rain!

Oh, sooo good :3 wish my Dino tamer be like this, the biome behind gimme shivers

Great Job!
