fishing in drowned world

Expected:

when iam fishing did not glitch like that (i can move and my freind have this issue too)

go fishing and move some and you glitched

There isn't sufficient information here to reproduce this issue, or tell what's going on. Make sure that any mods you have installed are up to date, and if you're still having a problem please provide any further details about the circumstances of this issue and how to reproduce it.

the glitch is that you get stuck in a state where the fishing rod is in the casted state but the server disagrees with that state, and it makes it so you cannot press F to cancel the current cast. all other actions are also blocked while you have an active cast so the only ways to fix it are to unequip the fishing rod, swap classes, or restart the game. there's no way a mod could affect the fishing action. if they are glitching frequently while fishing it's probably due to a poor network connection on their side or they are trying to fish in a world with more than 8 people (which is basically too laggy to do much of anything) 

what happened in the image provided in the report is that the server invalidated the holding F state, probably because it was lagging. you can tell since the trajectory vfx is still visible. bug exists because the client does not properly handle most of the invalidation states related to fishing and instead will get your fishing state desynchronized, causing you to either immediately be locked in place, or become locked in place upon pressing F between 1 and 2 more times after the invalidation occurred

here's a video of an easier to reproduce invalidation state: on the server's side the bobber hits land instead of the water, and you can see the client is not setup to properly handle a desynchronization like that occurring, which causes me to get stuck in place upon attempting to cast 2 more times
