Expected:

Reproduce:

Enter a newly generated Sundered Uplands world and find a blastflower on the ashen layer. Get close enough to the blastflower for it to die to observe the correct behavior—the blocks around the blastflower will be destroyed.

Now find a second blastflower. Do not get close enough for it to die. Instead, run very far away from this blastflower, more than 100 blocks. Once you are far away, wait in place for around 10 seconds, then run back to the same blastflower. Get close enough to the blastflower for it to die to observe the incorrect behavior—no blocks around the blastflower will be destroyed, and if this blastflower was empowered, it would not have the ability to potentially spawn a thresher.

Any updates on the status of this, or if I need to provide additional info? This bug makes farming foraged fragments rather annoying.
