Congratulations! Your creation has been added to Trove - Orange Axe !
Thank you for your tasty contribution!
It can be found in collections under Styles > Melee > Candy .
@Ylva
Tysm, I had forgotten about it for a while. Glad I got the coloring right, I was stressing avout that part a bit
Hello!
Im so happy to see this one back on review, yay! Seriously love the idea :) Great job on colors and texture of the orange.
Approved!
For future occasions, we require a blueprint of the creation to be uploaded to the Files tab (next to Home, Edit etc). That is needed so Developers could easily download, check and add creations to Trove. Blueprint should be named same way as in-game files get named, so a styletype_stylename[CreatorsName].blueprint
, which in your case is melee_orange[psmahmoud60].blueprint
(sword_orange or axe_orange would work too, as long as its clear that this is not a hat or spear etc). Only the CreatorsName is allowed to use Capital Letters, and this one should be same as your in-game name so Devs could send the rewards to proper account.
This time i ve uploaded a blueprint for you, made from the files in your latest Troxel link, but it saves me time if creators do that themselves :)
@Ylva
Thank you this really helped me alot because its also my second creation. (My other creation was a melee Pencil but then I realised there is already a staff 😭)
Hello!
What a great idea, love it! It is so refreshing to see such a silly (in a best possible way) and fitting for Trove design :)
Would you consider adding a bit more volume to the orange? I understand its meant to be a slice, but it feels way too thin, at least because the stick has same 1-voxel width. Also it could be good to think of a way for a stick to be something, may be a fruit fork or a part of a branch that orange used to grow on, im sure you can come up with something that fits.
(your screenshots seem to feature white stick, while Troxel has orange one, please be sure to always keep both up to date, reviews are based on Troxel link but screenshots are important later on)
I made a quick mockup to show what i mean by volume, you dont need to copy my attempt, its only meant to hopefully inspire you :) Plus i think i might be off by a voxel or two from max allowed dimensions, please be sure to keep an eye on that.
Another thing, since orange slices are somewhat see-through i suggest you try to turn some blocks into mostly opaque glass, that should give a nice 'juicy' feeling to it. Could also try some specular mapping on the orange skin etc. Guide to material maps can be found here: https://trove.fandom.com/wiki/Material_Map_Guide . Please keep in mind that material maps can not overlap, if you have mapped one voxel as Glass (on type map), it can not also be mapped as Metal (on specular map) and so on. However if blocks are mapped Glass, Glowing Glass or Tiled Glass on Type map, they do require an Alpha map, which would determine how transparent those glass blocks are.
Im going to change status of your creation to Active for now, set it back to Needs Review once you upload changes. If you would rather create something completely different - you could change the status of this one to Draft. That will hide it from the public list and will free up a slot for another creation.
Hoping to see it on review again, but in any case, good luck!
