Thanks for the reply! I've changed the model so now everything is connected. I didn't want the staff to look too "bulky" or "cluttered" as there is a lot going on at one end, so I used translucent voxels to give the idea that beams of energy are connecting the pieces. This way, the staff still has the same vibe, just without the issues.
