Commented on Arcane Starshot Bow creation

Hello!

Very interesting bow design, it would fit nicely with the biome :)

A couple of things would need to be fixed before i could mark this as Approved:

1) Location for the Hand - currently it is obstructed by the white parts of the bow, so in game it clips with the hand model. Requirements for all bows is to have the 3x3x3 cube around the attachment point free - so a hand can fit.

This can easily be fixed by moving the parts just one voxel to the sides.

Also, it could be a good idea to add a tiny bit of shading to the bow - variations of yellow and white color just to spice up the design a tiny bit - but 2 colors can work just fine if you d prefer to keep it this way.

2) Material Maps - currently the model has Type mapping with Glowing Solid on White and Glowing Glass on Yellow. While Alpha mapping maps the whole bow with transparency.

The transparency should only be applied to voxels that are mapped with any sort of Glass on Type map, so:


Most left is the current mapping. Two columns on the right side could work. If you want to keep the White voxels as Glowing Solid - please map them with 255.255.255 white RGB on Alpha. If you want to make everything Transparent, please map the White voxels as any type of Glass on Type map.

 

Also, you can check for such technical errors if you click on Lint and Export button in Troxel. Select a type of your creation and hit it - if there are any technical errors they will be highlighted.

 

Im going to change the status of this creation to Active for now. Please set it back to Needs Review once you upload a new model :)
