Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought the OP meant that he's not seeing the challenge/quest for this event.

If that is the case, try Escape--> Settings --> Miscellaneous and make sure that "Show Challenges and Objectives" has a check mark beside it. If not, check the box and click "Accept". And if you're a brand new player, I believe you have to complete the tutorial "golden thread" before it shows other challenges and objectives. Hope that helps.

Also, if you're looking for the Pumpkin Patches to collect pumpkins in the world, be sure to check the Cursed Vale biome for giant pumpkins that have little baby pumpkins on them.
