Posts the Trove developers have made that mention "Dark Red"
I still have a bit of feedback for this one. I would suggest making the black part of the sword not black. Maybe a very dark red or something. The black feels a bit off. I would also suggest messing with specular maps on the blade. Maybe use metal for the blade and iridescence for the red portions? Just play around with it a bit. Try some of the other materials we have too like glow, glass, etc. Getting close!
Nice set you have here! - Crystal Skull: I like it, good shape and colors. Would maybe suggest you try to use colors to show the teeth somehow (a checkerboard pattern of lighter/darker colors might create a semblance) - the square opening for the mouth reads to me more as a mask of surprise than the rictus grin of a skull, but it works as it is currently. - Lilypad Hat: One of my favourites of the entire set. I think the 'best' one for me is the one with the big base and the small flower, but the small flower could benefit from the colors of the large one. Either way, I love the concept, and it looks really good on the trickster :) - Dragon Mage: The transition between the purple brim and the dark red next to it seems a little abrupt, and personally I'd like it better if the 'cone' of the hat was a little puffier. - Cupid Guns: The concept for these is pretty cute, and they're different enough from the other cupid-themed pistols. - Tanky guns: I can't tell if you're using the metallic shader on these, but if you aren't, you definitely should. The shape is good, which is an achievement given the size constraints for gunslinger weapons. - Flowery Staff: I love this one about as much as I love the lilypad hat, which is to say 'a lot'. I don't think the flower is oversized, relative to some of the other staves we have. I think the stamens (the tendril thingies coming out the end of the flower) could use some iridescent property map to add that extra 'magical' touch :) - Smoulder: I also really like this one, great shape and colors. The only thing I would change is the red parts. If you're going for a lava effect, I'd suggest using a gradient from yellow-white through yellow, orange, red, to dark red, and then apply the glow property map for maximum effect, which would get you something that looks similar to the lava creatures from the dragon biome. - Phoenix Cage: Functional, but relative to the rest of your work here it suffers from being a little mundane - which is less a failing of the cage, and more a comment on how strong some of the other pieces are. One of the things it suffers from is that it's kinda hard to see what's inside the cage. You could maybe lower the floor of the cage by one voxel, and then curve the bars of the cage outwards some to make it look a little more distinct and give more room between the bars. Another possibility would be to place change the distribution of the bars so you only have one in the middle of each cardinal direction, and another in each of the corners, allowing a somewhat clearer view of the contents. Altogether a really solid showing, I look forward to adding many of these to the game. :)
