We have a large database of mods, and it's hard to keep track of them all. Each month our panel will highlight a selection of mods, some recently added, some older ones.

Fast Frank and Hotdog Hero
With nearly 1000 mods so far having been created for Trove. you might not be aware of the fact that originally Trove did not accept mount or costume mods.
After playing Trove for awhile you will undoubtedly come across a Twitch streamer named Dunmire1234. A Trove player named Blestmist had created for Dunmire a mount and a costume, Fast Frank as well as Hotdog Hero.
Randomly a dev of Trove was watching Dunmire’s stream when he chose to showcase these mods. Within no short order the devs decided to accept these two creations into the game and with this they opened up the ability for people to make modifications of mounts or costumes already in the game with the chance for them to be accepted officially.
You can read the first post by Avarem here. http://forums.trovegame.com/showthread.php?9227-On-User-Submitted-Mounts-and-Costumes
Keep this in mind every time you see a user created costume or mount, this was all made possible by Blestmist.
Improved Chat and Chat Mod Enhanced
Chat Mods
Recently things changed in the User Interface department as a user named Zephilinox released his Improved Chat mod, and soon after Altovod released his Chat Mod Enhanced.
Besides increasing the amount of chat history the chat module is capable of displaying, both of these mods approach the concept of modification differently.
The former has so far been focusing on changing font colors in the chat module, not only very helpful for people with bad eyesight but useful for everyone, as Trove’s default chat module leaves a lot to be desired.
The latter decided to spend a fair amount of time adding additional code to his chat mod, which currently has evolved to things like a chat spam filter as well as the ability to mute chat channels, a feature requested by players to the devs many times.
Both these mods do far more than I mentioned and are constantly updated so I highly recommend checking them out. They will make your experience socializing in Trove much less aggravating.

Aquaranger by Badges
I liked this mod because it used really nice colours which blend in together nicely to form in a really soft and unique 'aquatic' feel. It has touches of white on the tips of the scales at the back and on the shins.
Badges also used Type Maps really well to make the whole costume glowing and eye catching. The light blue and white really benefit from glow and since they blend in so nicely it doesn't stand out too much either, which is perfect for a costume.
Overall it is a great costume to use when you're gone out fishing and feel like dressing for the occasion! Good work, Badges!
Hyouga the Tundra Fox by Milambit
This (and Milambit's other foxes) are one of the best Meownt mods I've ever seen. They're not reskings but a lot more than that.
Milambit was dedicated to making the first fox mount after suggesting it to Kumar on a stream. Kumar did not get around to making it. However, when the Meownts first came out, Milambit dedicated an entire evening to his first fox mount(Moshi) which he later released. Afterwards he went ahead and made different variations of the meownts including this one.
I chose this mod because the VFX is simply so awesome and the mount itself is quite cool (no pun intended). The mount has a soft and shiny light blue colour, which clearly gives the impression that it's frozen. Overall great mount, nice one Bit.

Trovian Magician by Leeon1234
Boomeranger Costume
Replaces:
- Starter Boomranger costumes
- Starter Knight weapon
- and Heli-Hat (It's in group of Uncommon hat.)
The biggest challenge for costume mods with multiple parts (like the Boomeranger and Pirate) is to think of several different models but still keep them related thematically. The Trovian Magician does this perfectly - top hat boomerang, dice bombs, card buffs, and fighting doves (works perfectly with the animation rigging). Every individual piece works on its own but still manages to tie together well.
Additionally, the Trovian Magician really stands apart for being a costume that is full of character without having to rely on over the top design elements like color and material maps - the subtlety of concept is what really jumps out at you with this costume mod. Inspiring work, Leon1234.
Dance Pad Revolution by Mew2ian
The animation for the dance pad just screams for more design iterations, and the Dance Pad Revolution magrider perfectly capitalizes on it. The iconic video arcade game gets new life with a Trovian twist - the design evokes both the original dance pad but also the arcade game lair in the Neon biome.
One question mark on this mod stands - does the giant video screen in the front take away from the profile that most magriders have, or does that just add to the charm? Ultimately my take is that it works perfectly - and watching the whole thing rock back and forth while your character dances is such an amusing little added detail. Dance on, Mew2ian.
