The Trove client now packages its files inside .tfa files, but the files are not encrypted or hidden and can still be extracted using the Trove client and a .bat file.
Step 1: Download .bat file
.bat files are pieces of code that can be run on your computer, they simplify repetative tasks. All .bat files can be viewed in notepad to check the code.
We recommend the following:
Right click, save target as.
- devtool_unpack_client.bat from Ignitas (Source)
- extract.bat from Etaew
Step 2: Place in the same folder as Trove.exe
Place in your Trove directory, same level as the Trove.exe
Step 3: Run the .bat
Double click the .bat file, this will extract all archives into their appropriate folders.
Ignitas' file will place all extracted files into their own folder.
If anyone has any improvements to this, let me know. I specifically am aiming for extracting into a Trove/data folder instead of the same level as the archives.
