For a first gallery entry this is really high quality and I wanted to highlight it.

Pasteis' ChoicesTop ^

Criteria

  1. Colored, or black and white shading
  2. faelegance poses get extra point(Faelegance means, not stiff posture.. And flexible movement!)
  3. Trove is age +10 game, so entry has to be the same level
  4. Since it's trickster fae-fae contest, magical effects(like glitters, magical beams) gets extra points :3

Mystical and beautiful entry!! Her soft and delicate posture makes everything amazing! Lines wirh contrasting colors makes her even more faelegant. Blue night sky with stars also enhance the mystic image :3

I personally love this artwork a lot. Strong and efficient sketch lines, vivid colors that perfectly matche with lines, and charming light effects! I call it faexellent!!!

WyvernWarrior's ChoicesTop ^

Criteria

  1. Prefers coloured arts
  2. Something that pleases my eyes
  3. Cute derps and somewhat realistic art are cool

[artbox=3654]

I love how it’s seemingly all 100% pixel and it’s a group drawing of different Faes wearing FAE-shionable costumes. The pun made in this art’s title is very conFAEgious too! I hope these dumb puns are not conFAEsing anyone.

I really like the colours and theme though I feel like it could be a little more darker around some certain areas to add to the feel and contrast. A lot of work has clearly been done to make this and I feel like it can tell a good story.

Luone's ChoicesTop ^

  1. Expressiveness and Depth
  2. Harmony of colors

Luone

Ohhh.. Cute drawings! :3 Characters' afterimages and background gradients are awesome! His own special draw styles and nice characters made me to vote him.

Additional from Keetsie

I see a lot of stylized work but this one has a rare level of polish. The linework is clean, thoughtful and expressive. The artist has figured out all of the difficult, tiny details, such as how armor looks in perspective, and hasn't "BS'ed" them away with sketchy lines or weird shadows. Conceptually, it is fun and lively. I like how both characters are drawn in the same style but have different personalities.

Luone

What a high quality artworks! Backgrounds, costumes, and some ghosts are nicely expressing. Moreover, I've watched his drawing videos and got many impression, too. This is my conclusion : Flawless Art

Additional from Keetsie

This piece has a wonderful, limited color palette. Green and purple are popular colors to use for scary/evil characters. The care given to the lighting lends a lot to the forboding mood. Realism is difficult because it gives the viewer a lot of room to nitpick, but overall this piece does a great job of presenting a feeling, instead of merely a cool drawing.

Keetsie's ChoicesTop ^

Criteria

Concept

I look for unique elements that reflect the artist's creativity. Any sort of added humor, story, mood or unique personal style creates appeal.

Artistic Execution

A more technical criteria that involves artistic skill, and also how well a piece "reads." Is the piece something I would want to look at constantly? Can I tell what everything is and what's going on?

[artbox=3618]

Sworro demonstrates her understanding of line weight in this piece, using it to sell both dimension and texture. Check out that hair! It's a pleasantly simple piece that shows a solid understanding of shape. The fae's sad expression really draws the viewer in.

I really love DonDon's use of color here, especially in the wings. The palette lends the piece a light, vibrant feel, which is appropriate for a Fae! Thematically, the pose and expression are very calming. I like the quiet moment portrayed here.
