How to set up a trove stream in a few minutes!

Uses OBS and Twitch!

Also has Bots and Overlays and Donation Widgets!

This is the super simple guide to creating and streaming trove in just a few minutes without any huge hassles. If you need more help, visit me at twitch.tv/txsl_

How to Stream: Top ^

To start streaming trove I recommend downloading OBS. (Instructions Below)

Then open up speedtest.net or another download/upload speed website.

There, find out what your upload speed is. For example, my upload speed is 9-15 Mbps.

Keep in mind upload speed is measured in bits, not bytes. (There are 8 bits in a byte)

Then go to twitch and set up an account. (Instructions Below)

Once you have set up an account and gotten your stream key go back to OBS!

Now make sure you have trove launched.

In OBS right click scenes and choose add scenes.

Name the scene whatever you like.

Then go to Sources and right click it and choose game capture or window capture

Then in capture, choose trove and change the settings as you prefer. (If you have no idea what they are, don't click any)

Keep in mind game capture and window capture only capture these things if you would like to capture the whole monitor in stream choose the monitor capture (not recommended unless you have multiple monitors)

Then save your changes and go to settings in OBS. It will be right underneath the microphone icon, in the bottom right.

Open up settings and apply these changes shown below. (Instructions Below)

Then press preview stream to make sure everything is working!

If everything is working then stop preview stream and START STREAMING YAY!!!

BOTS/WIDGETS/OVERLAY:Top ^

If you would like bots/widgets to help moderate and stream I recommend:

Ankh Bot - All around bot, very customized, hard to use but worth it

Some features include: Custom Commands, Custom Currency, Custom Quotes, Custom Minigames, Custom ranks, and so much more!!

MooBot - General Bot that is the twitch dashboard with some good features.

MuxyBot - Also an alert bot, hooks up to discord and twitch alerts and much more

NightBot - Simple Bot, great interface and easy to use

RevloBot - Reward Bot

Strexm - An overlay for OBS Check it out here:  https://strexm.tv/r/txsl_ (How to use below)

Twitch Alerts - For alerts and donations

To download OBS:

1. Go to https://obsproject.com/

2. Choose Classic (Unless you know how to use Studio).

3. Open up OBS and launch it!

To make a twitch for streaming:

1. If you have an account log in, if not create one in twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/

2. Then go to the dashboard page.

3. Finally, choose the tab that says stream key!

Settings for OBS:

KEEP IN MIND THESE SETTINGS ARE YOUR PREFERENCES, I am just giving general guidelines!

ONCE AGAIN DONT CHANGE SETTINGS NOT LISTED HERE UNLESS YOU ARE SURE WHAT THEY DO!

1. In general choose your language and setting profile and choose whatever settings fit you.

2. In encoding, Video Encoding: choose x264 Encoder, Use CBR, Max bitrate is (Your Upload Speed [in bits] - 1000 [So doesn't cap out unless internet upload speed dies]), Enable CFR padding, In Audio Encoding: Codec AAC 48kHz, Bitrate 128 if you want higher quality and stereo

3. In Broadcast Settings choose Live Stream, Twitch, FMS URL of what city closest to you, paste your stream key (The one you got on twitch), And whatever else you think suits you.

4. In video choose your Video Adapter (Preferably the better graphics card [if you have one]), and resolution. HERE IS THE BIGGEST PART!!!! Resolution Downscale should be at none, unless your CPU is capping out when streaming, dropping fps, then I recommend 1.5x downscale and same for fps. If FPS is dropping then come back to video and scale your frames down to 45. Otherwise, default should be at 60.

5. In audio choose what you think suits you best. If you have skype, for example, and you output it into earphones and you have your game output to speakers and you want your viewers to only hear game sound, choose the speakers. If they both output to the same speaker/headset choose that one. Do the same thing with audio, choose the microphone that suits you best. (If you would like to split the sound without two speakers/headphones I will link you to an application that will help you out.) If you would liek to make your microphone louder boost Mic/AUX.

6. Hotkeys are for you to choose.

7. Advanced (I will list what I have):

a. Multithread Enables
b. Buffer 400 ms
c. x264 CPU preset Veryfast
d. Main Encoding Profile
e. Keyframe Interval = 2
f. Use CFR
g. Low Latency Mode

Strexm:

1. Go to the link https://strexm.tv/r/txsl_

2. Then choose overlay and save it.

3. Copy the Unique CLR browser link (In the Overlay Edit Panel).

4. Open up OBS and in Sources right click and add CLR Browser!

5. Make sure CLR Browser is the default resolution that you set in settings, if not choose the right settings in CLR Browser Source's Properties!

6. Make sure the CLR Browser Source is above capture, so it isn't covered up.

7. You are good to go
