Snowfest: Save the Season

• Help Save the Season with an all-new quest chain! Defeat invading evil robots and craft your very own G.R.Y.P.H. 3000, plus get great rewards like a Ninth Life gem booster and 25 Diamond Dragonite! (you must have completed the tutorial objectives to see these quests)
• New Present dungeons have appeared! Find the Ice Ice Baby Dragon inside whose chest may contain a Colorful Gift Carousel.
• Flamotron Mk II's rocket dungeon can now be found in the Permafrost Biome! Enchanted Snowballs are his shield's weak spot - throw them at him to remove his invincibility, then hit him before it can regenerate. He'll drop Darknik Gears for the lucky victors.
• The mighty G.R.Y.P.H. 3000 and Enchanted Snowballs can now be crafted in the Snowfest table.
• A Crate of 150 Darknik Gears has appeared for a limited time in the Store! Purchase this to get a major leg up on crafting the tradable G.R.Y.P.H. 3000 Mount.

Additional Updates

• 4 new winter-themed costumes have been added to the Chaos Crafter. Craft the Winter Waker for the Tomb Raiser, the Workshop Watcher for the Revenant, or the Frigid Fiend or Shaggy Yeti for the Candy Barbarian.
• Fixed bug where School of Fish trophies are stackable.
• Fixed Chaos Chest Tome to unlock the correct item in collections.
• Removed the duplicate Hydrajet Streamers entry in the Chaos Crafter.

Trove’s Get Crafty update is bringing holiday cheer to Trovians everywhere! Enjoy better tools for storing materials, tons of new items to craft, and the biggest Snowfest celebration ever!

Let’s talk about Snowfest.

• Get daily login bonuses for each day of the celebration. These gifts rotate daily but will include (for players with Mastery Rank 20 and above) a stack of 10 new Chaos Chests and a one day Patron Pass. In addition to those daily rewards you can also receive 10 Dragon Coins, 5 Gem Booster Boxes, a Minor XP Coin, a Ninth Life Booster, and more!
• We’ve added a brand new Snowfestivus quest chain, with rewards like Chaos Chests and Gem Boosters, as you strive to unlock your very own Snowfestivus Log mount.
• While you adventure you’ll find Holiday Tree lairs to clear out. Take down the bosses in these festive facilities to collect unique Snowfest items like Snowflakes that can be crafted into Enchanted Snowballs (you’ll definitely want to hold onto these).

• If rare seasonal mounts are your jam these Holiday Lair bosses also have a chance of dropping two mounts: Bouncing Bauble and Plethora o' Presents
• Enemies out in the world may now drop Snowfest Mystery Boxes. These loot boxes drop seasonal crafting materials like Chestnuts as well as Snowballs, winter recipes, Snowfest themed items, and the very rare Snug Snowman mount or Laden Sleigh mag rider.

When we mention the winter what is the first thing that pops into your mind? That’s right, dragons!

Well, this year we’ve got a dragon for the ages; Tannenbomber, the Harbinger of Tidings designed by Skyrider3217.

This seasonal serpent’s egg can be crafted at the Snowfest table using materials picked up in your many holiday adventures.

The Trove Store has some limited time items available this holiday season as well!

• Pick up the Santa Barbarian Costume or the Rudolph Raptor and Revelling Reindeer mounts while you can.
• The Snowfest Pack includes a Tannenbomber Dragon Egg and a bundle of wintry costumes created by players to keep you warm on these cool Snowfest adventures. Check out our patch notes to see the names of the artists behind these gorgeous creations.

Getting Crafty

The Snowfest holiday is a massive undertaking all by itself, but we’re not done yet. In fact, we’re just getting started!

• A new crafting inventory tab is here. This new tab allows you to stack all your crafting materials up to massive amounts which means you won’t have to worry about inventory space. If you have any crafting materials in your inventory just right-click on them to send them into the beautiful new crafting inventory.
• Use the Worldspring crafting station to create the tools needed to design your own minigames. Minigames are challenges that put your racing or coin collecting skills to the test in quick matches. When our Challenge timer starts at the top of the hour you’ll find a Minigame Portal in the Hub that you can hop into to test your mettle against players everywhere.

The Get Crafty update is a great way to end out 2016 and a jumping off point for the exciting adventures that await us all. Happy Snowfest, Trovians!

New Pinata Invaders

• Don’t let these party animals fool you; they are here to beat down Trovians and chew bubble gum – but they’re all out of bubble gum.

Celebratory Pinatas

• Defeat Pinata Invaders to collect Celebratory Pinatas. These drop a variety of loot including Pinata Coins and very rarely a new pinata mount. These rare mounts will be different for each invasion so don’t miss your chance to collect them all!
• These pinatas drop one Pinata Coin for everyone nearby but two coins for the player that throws the pinata. Team up with other Trovians to share the love with every pinata party!

Piñata Coins

• A new type of party currency used to purchase awesome loot from a new Hub vendor, Pinates the Purveyor.
• Buy a Pinatataur mount for 1,000 Pinata Coins with more mounts coming in future Join the Party events!

Two New Quest Objectives

• Throw enough pinatas for a truly epic pinata party to earn three Empowered Gem Boxes.
• Destroy enough to unlock a free Ninth Life Booster!

A good party has plenty of after parties and this one is no different. The celebration will return again and again. Join the party and celebrate Trove coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4!

Loot Collector

• The revamped loot collector UI is now live!
• It now represents all your loot collectable items at once in an easy to parse list view and has the following additional new features:
• Lock items to prevent them from being easily loot collected.
• Collect all button for quickly collecting all non-locked loot.
• Buy back - up to 150 items you've collected within the last 24 hours will be available to buy back.
• Quickly identify new styles you have yet to unlock.

Vault Clubs

• You can now create Vault Clubs!
• Vault Clubs have 15 more storage slots in both the normal and officer club chests, but do not have modifiable worlds. The Vault worlds have a rejuvination station, trading post, loot collector, personal chest, club chest, and officer chest.
• Club Cards are no longer tradable.
• Club Cards are now more expensive to craft.

Steam Workshop

• The Steam Workshop is now available for Trove Mods!
• It's easy to use! Do you use Steam and want to know how to use it? Check out this handy player guide.
• Are you a mod maker and want to upload your mod? Check out this guide.

French and German Languages

• Trove will now display in the language you've selected for Glyph if it is one of these languages.
• Users who have selected French or German for their language in Trove are now placed in separate French and German instances of Global Chat.

Animal Helms!

• Omni unlockers are now known as 'Stashes'.
• There are now stash exclusive animal helm styles in their own style category. Super Style Stashes will unlock these randomly!
• Twixler made all these so make sure to let her know how much you like them if you see her.

Shadow’s Eve

• Oct 28 is going to be especially spooky! Log in to receive a Ninth Life booster, 25 Shadow's Eve Daily Reward Chests, and double XP all day. Are you seeing what I'm seeing? You must be extra superstitious...
• Pumpkin harvesting dungeons now rarely appear in the Cursed Vale to supplement your Pumpkin income!

Dragons

• Inora, Flame of Enlightenment, is now live! Designed by GYNLBart.
• Acquire the egg for Inora from the Merchant of Wonders.

Store

• The Dragon Horde pack is now live! Pick up this pack for a tradable version of Inora, 33 greater dragon caches, 333 dragon coins, and 3 diamond dragonite pouches.
• The Essentials Pack is a bit more Gem-tastic! Instead of 20,000 Cubits, this pack now grants 50 Gem Booster Boxes, a slight increase in value.

Interactions

• You can now interact with objects without directly targeting them. When you get near an interactable object, its tooltip appears and you can press E to interact with it. Don't worry - you can still target objects directly, too.
• Players and NPCs no longer block your interactions when they are standing between you and the object you are trying to interact with.
• Tooltips for interactable objects no longer appear when you are outside of interaction range.

Battle Arenas

• Battle Arena quick matches now grant class experience upon completion.
• Quick matches and club matches now award star bar points upon completion.

Community Content

• The new Bonecutter X-2 mount by Spree and Stealth545 will soon be available!

Additional Updates and Fixes

• We've smoothed the experience curve to level 30 and reduced the amount of experience required from level 20-30.
• World tooltips now appear more quickly.
• Renamed the style vault categories: Hat Style Vault, Mask Style Vault, etc to simply "Vault". These strings are only used in Collections (when you have already selected Hats, Faces, etc) and in the redesigned Loot Collector.
• Non-tradable patron coins and Daily Reward Chests are no longer loot collectable.
• Disabled loading into museum worlds.
• Radiant Auras no longer disappear when viewed from any angle.
• Fixed bug where you couldn't invite non-friends to join you in a world.
• The level up text for the Chloromancer when reaching level 3 has been fixed.
• Fixed underflow bug in club UI.
• Fixed bug where contest reward progress meter didn't show in Leaderboard UI.
• Fixed a bug which could cause the intro video to play at the wrong resolution.
• Fixed z-fighting issue with rendering transparent blocks underwater.
• Fixed bug where progress could be made toward event objectives before they were active.
• Added a client tool, Trove.exe -tool extractmod to extract the contents of a tmod file to the local filesystem
• Added -override option to Trove.exe -tool extractmod that ensures all files in the ouput are within "override" folders.
• Added an option to output a yaml file that can be used to rebuild a .tmod file to Trove.exe -tool extractmod

Update 4 - For the small number of people who still haven't received the items yet, we'll need a bit more time, but you'll be taken care of. I'll keep this thread updated.

Update 3 - Everyone who logged in after the start of the event should have the 25 Shadow's Eve chests and the Ninth Life booster now. Restart the game if you're not seeing it. Post below if you signed in after 4AM PDT but have not received the items. Thanks all!

Update 2 - We've got a fix for the missing rewards internally and plan to roll that out soon. That will allow anyone who signs in after the update to get the rewards. For players who already signed in we will be granting the rewards to you separately, but they will be sent out.

The Ninth Life Gem Booster will be added to your inventory automatically instead of going through the Collection window. Please keep that in mind as you may not see it at first glance but it will be added once the fix is in place. I'll post another update once that is done.

Shadow's Eve is Back and Even Better!

• Pumpkin Dungeons are sprouting in all biomes! Find a giant Jack-O-Lantern and defeat these spooky intruders for candy corn.
• The Hub is all Shadow’s Eve themed, and includes the Shadowy Station (inside a big pumpkin) where candy corn can be used.
• You can craft and grow pumpkins once more!
• The Spookytime Mystery Box is now available at the Shadowy Station. It contains seasonally haunting recipes and the new Hyperactive Haunt and Bouncy Black Bat mounts.
• The Sugar Crasher and Spirited Broomstick are added to the Shadowy Station as craftable, tradeable mounts.
• Log in every day for a Shadow’s Eve Daily Reward Chest. This replaces the Daily Reward Chest for the duration of the Shadow’s Eve event, but fear not, you have the same chances of getting rare drops as ever. As an uncommon drop, you may receive Pennry's Phantataur mount!

• Some new event objectives are now live! Once you complete the Diamond Dragonite objective these will appear (or once that one expires next week). Complete them all to earn 10 Lapis Luckbugs, 3 Empowered Gem Boxes, and the unique Bitten Kitten mount!

Easy to Use Modding

• It's now easier than ever to use community created mods to enhance your game!
• Simply place '.tmod' files into the new 'mods' folder in your Trove installation directory to mod your game.
• Enable and disable your added mods via the ESC menu in-game.

Diamond Dragonite

• You can now craft a Diamond Dragon Egg at the Dragon Crucible using Diamond Dragonite!
• Diamond Dragonite can be obtained via the new daily contest for total power rank, events, and also a very very rare tradable world drop 'Diamond Dragonite Pouch'.
• For this week only there is a new limited time objective. Complete 25 challenges (each stage counts for 1) and earn 50 extra Diamond Dragonite!

• There is a new one time purchasable Dragonite Megapack on the store - this is a great deal for gem boxes and then we threw in 100 Diamond Dragonite straight up on top of that just because.

Additional Updates

• The clocktower in the City of Bones shadow dungeon has been updated to make travel and NPC spawning less of a pain.
• Challenges and Objectives now show the name of the reward being earned.
• Rally Blade is now more likely to match you with adventuring players (and ignoring AFK ones)
• The charge up attack used by the tribal humanoids in the Jurassic Jungle should now hit for much less.
• Pegasus Wings are now less transparent.
• The welcome screen no longer displays your chaos factor. Check your character stats if you need to know!
• Starter classes are now limited to only the 8 most accessible classes. Class coins and other methods of acquiring classes work as normal.
  

Bug Fixes

• Kicking from club worlds should work correctly again, again.
• A relatively common crash involving using the mining laser has been fixed.
• Fix Mac client being unable to play intro movies with multithreading enabled.
• '/zonerestrict' should now work correctly
• Stellar Aura VFX now disappear when you die instead of floating around your tombstone.
• Fixed projectile targeting in PVP
• Iguana, and Sarcosuchus NPCs should now drop the correct trophies
• Fixed bug where shift+mousewheel didn't rotate blocks while in build mode
