You creative spark seems to be a creative firework :) Great job on the deco, loving the creepy smile on the clay mask! Plus i think in this case the chessboard pattern actually goes a good job :)
Couple of suggestions though. At the moment both helmet and its stand are made from same material which makes it hard to distinguish from any side other than the front. May be the stand with pole could be wooden?
If you look at the back side of helmet from the side, it has a perfect diagonal slope. It would be more convincing if it had more rounded shape. Or, slightly rounded on top and then diagonal.
Also, while do i like the expression on the mask and i did say that its fine to have disconnected parts on deco, its still best to avoid that if possible. You think the face would still look good if it had some sort of back support?
I made a quick edit based on your model and suggestions above. Wooden stand, rounded shape and layer of blocks behind the mask. Im sure you can do better job on it though :)
