Shine Upon Them (Big Painting)
[Decoration] [Treasure Isles]

!!The first link shows what the end result is and how all the pieces look combined together!!
- We do have a modular table set so I thought that I could make a big painting... A big one, 2x3 in trove voxels.
- I do have to say that the rotation of the objects gave me some trouble. I used MagicaVoxel for the models and I had to rotate the objects with the backs facing since this was the only way they were loading facing me in MF. Let me know if there is an issue with that because I had to invert rotate etc. like mad.
- I did create a solid map for each piece, but I'm not sure if I had to. Please let me know.
- I cannot provide screenshots since I'm dumb and incapable of stacking the models I made (in MF, that is...). If there is a way let me know.
- Also, the models don't have collision in MF. Is that normal?

I'm not sure if I'm 100% done with this, but I put it up here to get some potential useful information in regards to the process of creating stuff for Trove. This is not really my first time doing this. I did make a spear a long time ago, but it wasn't added to the game. I do also plan to (already started LMAO) make some furniture since we desperately need some nice beds, sofas, etc. I already have a concept for a modular sofa so keep an eye for that.

Thank you very much for the thorough reply! Truth be told, I was expecting this to not get accepted, but I was like:"Eh, don't mind if I try!". I can understand why this could be a bit problematic. The sofa model is finished and I will see if I can reinvent the design since I built it in a way for people to be able to make a corner sofa out of it too, but the pieces don't stand very well on their own. Until then, I will see what I can come up with for a single piece deco.
In regards to the old spear, I don't have the model anymore, but I can easily make another.
Again, thank you so much for the reply and for the useful information!
Hello!
Oh my, the painting is just stunning! Wow on that pixelart and the frame is so elegant! Wish i could approve it right away.
It hurts me to say this, but at the moment im only allowed to approve one-piece decorations, thats why there isnt an option to upload multiple pieces at once. This means that all decorations have to work as single piece. Its absolutely great if that would have some synergies with other decorations either in game or to-be-posted ones, but it has to work on its own. For example, if you manage to make a modular sofa out of 2-3 various pillow decorations i should be able to approve those, but they have to work nicely as separate pillows too.
It used to be limited to 3 items per decoration set on Reddit, but they still had to work separately too. Ones that dont were created in early times of Trove and because of them we have all them rules now :<
About other things:
- You say you had spear approved but not added? You could post that here as a style creation with a link to an old reddit acceptance thread. Sadly due to some issues it wasnt possible to carry over the backlog during Trionworlds to Gamigo transaction.
- Rotation of Trove objects is backwards indeed, a model in Magica Voxel should be showing you its back (when just loaded in) to face front in Trove.
- For Material Mapping, you do not need to create blank maps if you are not using mapping. For example, if your model does not use any Specular mapping you dont need to create a fully Rough one for _s.qb and so on. devtool_dungeon_QB_to_blueprint.bat
picks same-named qb files + maps from the folder. sword.qb + sword_s.qb would create a sword.blueprint with Specular (and without any other mapping).
- You can only preview one blueprint at a time in Metaforge (unless its an assembled dungeon). However, you can mod your blueprints to override other decorations that are in game. (Check the step 5, in the end of it there is an explanation of this method https://trovesaurus.com/page=3749/how-to-get-started-with-trove-creations#step-5-preview-your-creation-in-trove ) Once modded in, you can /wadd decorations you modded to your Metaforge and build out of them. You will also see your creations override same decorations in game itself, but building in Metaforge doesnt use resources :)
- Previewed decorations in MF wont have any collision, if you drag the whole blueprint in - it will. Depending on decorations you mod (replace with your files) they might or might not have collision either, but dont worry about that for preview purposes.
Hope that helps.
To sum it up, im sorry but i wont be able to approve this gorgeous deco :( Going to set it to Active, you could set status to Draft to free up a slot for other creation.
Hoping to see more of your designs!
