A buddy of mine is having trouble linking his Xbox to his Trion account. When he logs into his account on pc it don't show him as having his console linked but on the Xbox it says it is...... does anyone know how to go about unlinking it and re linking his account to his Xbox again?

Hey there!

I used to see this in the olden days when I was working Customer Support on Defiance. What generally happens is the console is linked to a secondary account. This is either a completely different email address or a version of his email address with a typo. When that happens it looks like you have a link in game but on the account page it shows no link since the email address is different.

Ask your friend to submit a ticket and provide his character name, platform (Xbox One), Trion account email address, and any alternate email addresses he may have used.

The Dino Tamer, Trove’s latest class, is ready to run wild! Hailing from the Desert Frontier but lost in a land that time forgot, this ravenous ranged ruffian mastered a unique combat style designed for surviving in the harsh wilderness of the Saurian Swamp and Jurassic Jungle.

Hunting Dart (left click)
Fire off a long ranged dart to hit your enemies hard before they even know you’re there. This is a great attack to use while staying mobile.

Clever Snare (right click)
Throw a net to lock down anyone or anything that stands in your way. Holding down the right mouse button charges up the net increasing its size.

Meatergy (passive)
Killing an enemy with the net debuff active will reduce the cooldown of the Dino Buddy skill.

Dino Buddy (1 key)
Throws a piece of meat on the ground to summon one of three randomly selected dinosaurs to fight by your side. The DPS raptor, the pterodactyl with stun attack, and the tanking, taunting triceratops!

Dino Mount - (2 key)

Fire off your Ultimate to summon a unique dinosaur mount that empowers your attacks. Your Clever Snare is always fully charged and does substantial damage to nearby enemies. When you summon a Dino Buddy you also unleash a powerful stomp that damages anyone caught in its wake.

The deadly Dino Tamer is a denizen of our newest, and most massive biomes yet: the Saurian Swamp and Jurassic Jungle! This lush wilderness is full of dangerous dinosaurs, deadly dungeons, and dastardly devils!

We've only scratched the surface of what is to come when the Dino Tamer explodes on the scene!

The Megalithic Update is the first major update coming to Xbox One and PS4 – and its massive! We're adding a new class, new biome, lots of new dragons, min-games, craftable classes, seasonal events, and so much more. The Dino Tamer

Hailing from the Desert Frontier but lost in a land that time forgot, the Dino Tamer is a ravenous, ranged ruffian who mastered a unique combat style designed for surviving in the harsh wilderness of the Jurassic Jungle.

Dino Tamer Skills

Meatergy (passive)
Killing an enemy with the net debuff active will reduce the cooldown of the Dino Buddy skill.

Hunting Dart (R2 or RT)
Fire off a long ranged dart to hit your enemies hard before they even know you’re there. This is a fantastic way to stick and move.

Clever Snare (L2 or LT)

The Jurassic Jungle

The Jurassic Jungle has an upper and lower level with distinct enemies to fight and tons of dungeons to take down. As you fight your way through this blast from the past you'll pick up all new styles and recipes to bring that extra retro look to the modern Trovian.

New Enemies
The Jurassic Jungle is home to a slew of new enemies of all shapes and sizes. Take down raptors with razor-sharp claws, thick-skinned triceratops tanks, a titanic Tyrannosaurus Rex, just to name a few!

This is only the beginning of what's coming with the Megalithic Update. Be on the lookout for a massive amount of info coming in the weeks ahead. Thanks for playing Trove - the best is yet to come!

GOLDEN THREAD
The Golden Thread is now in game! This guides new (and existing!) players to explore all parts of the game in exchange for tons of Cubits.

NEW IN THE STORE
* Added new mounts to the store! The Overlord Omniseat, the Love Seat, the Uni-Cycle, and the Ancient Cubits!
 - The seats are available for credits and cubits, the Uni-Cycle for credits, and the Ancient Cubits for cubits.
* Anything in the store that is purchased for Cubits is now unlocked instead of tradable.
* Credit purchases have the option to be unlocked or gained as an item.
* The Store Horses (Storses) have had their price increased to match the Racing Raptor.
* The Style Surprise is no longer available for Cubits. Don't panic: it will return at a later date!
* Randomized the chaos chest! Look for a preview of a magical floating tome, the chaos clipper, and a little leftover love.


ADVENTURING
* Buddy Budgie Adventurer's Chests have been replaced with Adventurer's Bento Boxes! These have a chance of containing the Shuffling Shrimp Nigiri or Delicious Dragon Roll mounts, created by FriedSushi!
* Reduced the number of buoys that spawn in the Treasure Isles.


COLLECTIONS/MASTERY
* The missing radiant styles have been removed from Collections entirely. Don't worry, they'll show up soon! (We need to fix style tech before any new styles are added. Better, faster, soon.)


BUG FIXES AND POLISH
* The Welcome screen is now displayed on each login.
* Slightly increased performance of OpenGL shaders.

* The welcome screen is now live! It displays the current daily bonus, information about what's new and coming soon, a place to buy the latest deal, information on the current Adventure Box, and the daily chaos factor!

DAILY BONUSES
* Daily bonuses are now live! In addition to the current +100% cubits on weekends, there are now the following bonuses:
 - Monday: +20% gain to harvesting resources
 - Tuesday: +50% gain to ore
 - Wednesday: +100% gain to glim acquired through adventuring
 - Thursday: +50% gain monster drops on Thursdays (including adventure boxes)
 - Friday: +50% gain to shards (both Radiant and Shadow)

* Butterfly Allies can now be found inside the Butterfly Soultraps, sold by the Treasure Isle merchants!
* Pet soul traps now cost 300 Glim, up from 250.


BUG FIXES AND POLISH
* The trade window now returns to player selection if the other player cancels the trade instead of closing. Also clarified the message for when the other player cancels the trade.
* Corrected the orientation on the Gunslinger charged shots and Chaos Hound's footprints.
* The Candied Fishing Cane has a new, less gummy, more chocolatey bobber.

* Added additional advanced video settings including: LOD Distance, Field of View, Bloom, Depth of Field and SSAO. Turn these on in the video settings!
