This build focuses on health primarily over all else and being able to tank the hardest hits effectively for your group. As with all pure tank builds, this is not meant for any kind of damage.
TankShadow Towers
Notes: Anywhere that health can be placed, use it and boost it using whatever means necessary. Always try to stay in groups rather than focusing on single targets to draw aggro and to be able to return more health with Swirlwind. A strong enemy and many adds will actually be easier than dealing with only one strong enemy.
Stat Priority
Notes: Be sure to use raw max health along with (%) max health to prevent diminished returns from the percent boost. Health Regeneration will allow you to get that tiny bit of health back that's sometimes necessary to survive a bit longer. Energy Regeneration will allow you to use your Swirlwind more and self sustain better in groups.
Notes: Be sure to focus on the stats listed prior. For areas where nothing else could be placed, Attack Speed can be used to draw aggro from single enemies faster if you need to chase them.
Ally and Flasks
Aliado
- 30 Regeneração de Energia
- -20.0% Dano Recebido
The Energy Regeneration and damage reduction on the Shield Servitor is essential. Very few other allies will be of as much help as this one.
Frasco
The Death-Defying vial will keep you alive for longer by preventing one shots if you're low on health and can't press the button in time or if you're a lower level character with less health. It's worth the investment. In regard to the emblems, the Unyielding emblem grants invincibility for 2 seconds. With this combination, the Damage Reflection would prevent all damage along with procing the Vampiric emblem for each attack reflected. This gives you 8 seconds of invincibility rather than 2.
Empowered Gems
In regards to actual stats, try to get Max Health, Health Regeneration, and (%) Max Health on every empowered and lesser gem. This is very impractical so I recommend using a gen if it's an appropriate level and if it has at least 2 of these stats. In regard to the empowered gems, Scoop n' Gloop will allow you to pull in enemies and prevent their escape along with drawing aggro effectively, it's essential for tanking well when you can get it. Cubic Curtain will give you an edge on your first charge into a group or when fighting a boss. Stunburst when it procs will give you a moment of rest from some of the enemies after you if it hits them. It can also be effectively swapped for Mired Mojo to prevent enemies from straying too far from you.
Scoop n' Gloop Class Gem
Sugar Crash now leaps straight up and crashes down, vacuuming enemies toward you and applying a brief snare.
Cubic Curtain
Avoiding damage grants a protective shield, absorbing the next attack and stunning the attacker.
Stunburst
Taking damage has a chance to spawn a ring of stunning projectiles, briefly disabling affected enemies.
This gem has a cooldown.
Text
As stated before, this build is for pure tanking. You'll do very little damage but if you know the ropes then it'll keep you alive and kicking and the enemies off of the squishier DPS or support characters. If you like this build or if you have suggestions then send a message to stache_man on PSN or leave a comment here. Thank you for your attention and remember, a game isn't worth playing if you aren't enjoying it. Play the class you want, use the build you want, and play the game the way you want. Ignore the people that say otherwise.
