Standart shadow Hunter build for any situation
FarmingDamageLevelingShadow Towers
Stat Priority
Notes: AS% instead of MS if you dont have a class gem
Hat 
Weapon 
Face 
Ring Notes: you can use Critical Hit instead of Jump on your weapon if you dont alredy have 100% ch
Ally and Flasks
i use Cotton candy for farming and Rapt berserker for Shadow Tower because the additional damage is not needed while farming.
Frasco
i swap out the Flask to the Vial of Minion Multiplication for the st when i'm in a group where i am 100% save and wont get hit. DD everywhere else because almost anything can oneshot me :P
Empowered Gems
Stats on every Gem: PD/CD/CH and a few with PD/CD/MH(%) because more then 100%CH is useless
Stinging Curse
Dealing damage applies damage-over-time effects to enemies.
Pyrodisc
Killing an enemy has a chance to generate a flaming disc that damages nearby enemies.
This gem has a cooldown.
Shadow Blitz Class Gem
Basic attack becomes a rapid-fire stream of arrows.

Thats the build that makes the most sense for me, you can use a different falsk/emblems to make it fit your farming style, but the rest is the best Solution i guess.
You may have low life, but normally every enemy dies b4 he reaches you and if something happens you still have your DD flask so you wont die.
