Seems odd, although can be bypassed by uploading to imgur yourself, and using that as the direct link. Then the site just hooks onto it instead of trying to upload again.

Thanks for your submission, however since this just takes one of the original image and adds text, this won't be valid as an entry into the art contest. The aim was to have you make some effort on your own.

If you are certain everything is done that you were meant to, and it doesn't appear contacting support might be the only solution for you to see why. Usually they figure out that it was applied to the wrong account, linked to the wrong account etc.

On consoles I might also advise choosing something from their store that is free, to "trigger" a refresh of purchases. That might unlock it if all else fails.
