While in building mode you can switch between running and walking by pressing CTRL (default). You will keep walking even if you use mount. Switch back to running by pressing CTRL again or by switching to adventure mode.

If you get spammed with invites or whispers, use the Command /dnd. This will activate the do not disturbe mode and you will not receive any whispers or invites. You can leave the do not disturbe mode by using the same command again.

You can craft some Origin Portal Potions in the Adventurer's Crafting Bench in order to reach your cornerstone as soon as possible and then go back to farming.
