There are many materials to collect in Trove. The most useful is probably Faerie dust, which occasionally drops from enemies in the Fae Forest. Another useful one is Bleached Bones, which are dropped by skeleton enemies, and grow in Dragonfire Peaks.

To make a radiant weapon, you need a shadow weapon. You need 2 souls of that level and eyes to get to the next level. At the end, you need 3 penta souls and 3 purifying dragon flames.

if you want to quickly lvl up a second character you can head to the highest uber your main can then swap to the fresh character, standing on top of dungeons as they are completed with lvl you up several lvls each time, great for contests on characters

Jade clovers, horseshoes, luckbugs and ninth life's are pretty scarce in the beginning of the game, so use them wisely until you start finding better gems in the higher ubers.
