Creators Island Making submissions more accessible

The Defiant Few club has a location called Creator's Island. It helps players submit items by creating them in-game. It is for people who lack the knowledge of tools required or are intimidated by the submission process. Club leader Market shows us around the island.

Signs are used as comments and descriptions, ticks indicate submission status.

What is Creators Island?

Creator's Island is an area of Defiant Few where club members can build gear and decorations for submission into Trove! Ranen, one of DF's Architects and a Trove contributor, came up with the idea for an island covered in gear and deco templates.

Since then, this island has inspired the creation of more than a dozen items that have been added, or are about to be added, to the game! We have plans to build monuments to these creations around the island to pay tribute to the people who designed them.

Why create in-game?

Club members who are intimidated by the submission process or using a voxel editor, or just don't have the time, can visit the island to build on various templates specific to a type of submission.

How does that work with submission?

Defiant Few has an agreement with the Reddit mods to operate a Creator's Island account. This means we are able to submit items under the name of the creator, who will get credit (and credits) if the item is added to the game! The submission process takes quite a bit of patience, but the payoff is worth it. Having an item in the game with your name on it is very satisfying.

What improvements would you like to see that would help your system?

The approval process takes a long time, I'd love for that to be sped up. I'd also love portals within club worlds so people can travel to and from the creators island easily. Another thing I would also really like would be standalone props blocks, we could place these next to items to receive peoples votes on them, or a guestbook of sorts, let people write a short message.
