Trion have posted a new blog post introducing Fasti as the new Community Representative. Fasti has been posting more on the forums lately, so we may have seen him around.

Hey there Trovians!

My name is Steve Haines, but you likely know me better as Fasti. I’ve recently joined the Community Team as a Community Representative after spending the last two years working directly for our Customer Service team as a GM.

I started gaming back in the 1980s when the Commodore 64 was a beastly gaming rig. I also showed off my mad console skills with the Intellivision and Colecovision. After high school, I took a bit of a detour and spent about a decade writing and traveling before heading off to college to study film.Unfortunately, I was coming out of film school in the lead up to the writer’s strike, so once that hit I had plenty of time on my hands. I installed a copy of World of Warcraft a friend had bought for my birthday the year before, and the rest, as they say, is history.

As the strike continued, I found a job doing customer service with Electronic Arts. I saw each issue as a puzzle to be solved, and really enjoyed the challenge of it. After a few years I had the opportunity to join some friends at Trion Worlds, and jumped at the chance.

While my RPG roots keep me firmly planted in the tank role, in Trove I find myself absolutely in love with ranged classes. My personal favorites are the Shadow Hunter and Boomeranger. My time in game is usually spent running through as many dungeons as I can handle. I absolutely love beating a boss and spawning that sweet, sweet loot chest.

Interacting with players who are passionate about our games is my favorite part of working in the game industry. Being a part of the Community team allows me to take a more active role in facilitating the conversation between the people who play Trove, and the people who are creating it. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of the Trove team, each and every day!
