The Skulking Skitterling is a mount that is unlocked in a cross-promotion with another game that Trion develops, Defiance. Complete several activities in Defiance to unlock the mount automatically on Trove.
Limitations:
- This is only active on Defiance Classic and NOT Defiance 2050
- This can be earned by playing Defiance Classic on Any Platform
- Skulking Skitterling is only unlocked on PC Trove

Preview
Find the Objective in Trove
The Skulking Skitterling is found in the Promo tab of the Mounts Collection.
Find the Objective in Defiance
Press [Escape] and then click on [Goals]
Open the [Bonus] section, [Holiday] section, and then click on [A Trove of Hellbugs].
You will need to kill 50 Hellbug Monarchs.
Kill Hellbug Monarchs
The quickest way I found to do this was to complete Colony Courtship Major Arkfalls, but any Hellbug Monarch will give you credit.
Receive Reward
After killing 50 Hellbug Monarchs the loot window will show you received . If you go and check your Trove collections, it will be there.
