We like being as generous as we can, but in some cases we just aren't technically able (or it's a lot of work better spent elsewhere). Even once we're no longer in Beta I would expect that we sometimes make big changes and not every change is going to be able to have compensation (much like sales or similar events, the value of goods might change sometimes).

We'll always be as fair as we can, but in this case it's just a boost to everyone who crafts these from this patch on.
