I am not going to say the expensive crafting cost or should this game really focusing on revising old class first.
I will leave the impression of this class to let others judge "Is Bard worth it?".

----
My major concern is that Bard is a very confusing class to use, here is why:
DPS
Player need to gain DPS by pressing keys that could interrupt the battle, including dodging forward during Bardsong buff.
Plus, the class itself has short range, which doesn't really fit well between Gunslinger, Ice Sage and Tomb Raiser.

Pirate Captain has been suffering similar issues over years and have to rely on sitting outside the "field" and spam turrets.
Even if Bardsong is simplified, the short range might not help.

Support
Aside from said "Dodge" issue when performing, Battle Song redirects aggro, which is a confusing question, why?
(It seems that "Critical Hit" is a typo and actually referring to Critical Damage)

He relies on Crystal Pop to extend the range, but what happen if the Bardsong requires such action?
It's kind of counter the purpose of Crystal Pop to extend range.
Jubilant is the only useful one, but used for solo play more than teamplay.

Farming
With class gem buff, Jubilant song gains 40% MS, which is still a lot after patch.
Due to some possible bug or there is no penalty on changing song by pressing "2" again, player could just "2 2" to keep on MS buff.

It doesn't mean he is good in speedfarming, which is 1 of the key aspect keeping this game alive.

250% MD Nimble Dance isn't a big spherical attack, invincible buff is okay, but the action delay may not.
Basic Attack has short range, horizontal limit, narrow hit box and Bardsong provides no practical value.
Crystal Pop's delay isn't rewarding to use due to 250% MD only.
(Glitter Bomb 450% MD, Knight Charge 450% single PD + 450% area PD, DT can always bombarding mobs)

Tank
He draws aggro but can he tank with max HP build by spamming Peaceful song and Nimble Dance?
Does he really need the ability to draw aggro?

How to fix
- Simple Bardsong minigame that doesn't interrupt combat, because it is Trove.
Such as M1 M2 combination only with shorter time.
- Focus on what Bard supposed to be. Having a dedicated role is much better than multiple ones, such as failed Vanguardian.
- If Bard wants to be as "Premium" as VG, then the class design should be not outclassed by Starter Class.

- If Bard wants to be DPS, give him more range; if he wants to be farmer, give him more area execution;
if he wants to support, give him simpler minigame and buff range, etc.

- Fix other old class so they deserved their own position, and Bard/VG deserved their spot as "Premium"
- Revise the cost of crafting new items because it doesn't actually solve the issue of "stop farming Topside". If we are required to farm Delves for Freerange Electrolytic Crystals, then revise our incentive. It doesn't feel rewarding.
