Now to the mounts. I've spent a lot of time playing games like ESO and Neverwinter. When it comes to mounts in those kind of games, changes in looks and sizes can be pretty slight to make them look "cooler" and be desirable.

But when it comes to Trove and the kind of pixelated graphics it uses, slight changes doesn't cut it to make them special and usable. Everything looks and feel pretty much similar. It's square stuff. If you have a legendary dragon, there's pretty much no other mounts that feels desirable. You can fly, run fast, shoot fireballs ...why would i get something grounded that doesn't fly or shoot?

I can only speak for myself, but in Trove i've never felt like "Wow! I want that mount!" And i would never spend real money on chaos chests to get a sparkling spider, a golden larva, a three legged corgi, etc, because it feels just unnecessary and unappealing. And after spending some time in the hub, you rarely see anything but dragons.

So what could the devs do? They need to rethink how mounts work and looks in Trove. No more same same with slight differences. Maybe go bigger, more useful, more variations and characteristics.
Hi theungodly,

Thanks for your suggestion. I will add it to my list of suggestions to discuss with my lead system designer.
