Sunfest Overview

This year’s event is a shift from previous years. We ran a contest for players to create their own cake shells for our new event Cake dungeons. The focus of the event this year is these new cake dungeons and the enemies within them. These dungeons will be a recurring feature in Trove going forward each Sunfest.

<NEW> 8-Step Questline where the player meets the new NPCs and Cake Dungeons all over Trove and earns a new Carrot Cake mount.
<NEW> Cake Dungeons - Appearing all over Trove. These dungeons feature designs made by the community as well as our own designs.
- <NEW> Defeating Cake dungeons rewards Cake Coins that can be used to gain many rewards from the event.
- <NEW> Cake Dungeons are now filled with new cake enemies using recolored VFX for their attacks. Many of these enemies drop tradable versions of the collections crafted at the Sunfest Oven
- <NEW> Cake Dungeons can drop a new ally and two new mounts.
<NEW> Sunfest Oven – The Sunfest Oven is where players can obtain the new allies featured during the event.
- <RETURNING> The Dormant Worldspring Dragon Egg can be crafted here.
<RETURNING> The previous year’s Delves return but with adjustments. Generic bosses will no longer appear in them and the Chuck Pinzo boss will be featured in every third tier of the Delve. In any other tier, the Triceratops bosses will appear instead.
- <NEW> All of the Gateways for the event delves are now Depth Steppers, allowing players to control the difficulty better.
<RETURNING> Players could buy the delve decoration boxes for each house during last year’s event, and they still can this year, but if they wish to craft the specific decorations there are all new recipes on each house workbench. All previous year’s craftable collectables are available again and can be obtained by converting Trovian Finite Notes into the appropriate house’s unique currency.
- <NEW> Each House Vendor features a new fishing pole themed after the appropriate house.
