Congratulations! Your creation has been added to Trove - Mr. Bubbles!
It can be found in collections under Styles > Hats > Stash Exclusive.
Hello again!
Oh my, i love those tiny fins on the sides :D You have great things going on with material maps too, glad you went experimenting with those! Coloring also looks much cleaner and Trovian, thank you for adjusting that.
While i usually just look at latest version i was curious to see the way it evolved, and after seeing both 4 and 5 i think it would be best to go for some middle ground between them.
Image for reference:
Fins on version 5 look a bit too transparent, i think on v4 they were better. I absolutely love the way you did the eyes though, v5 has marvelous fish-eye effect from the front! However from the side (because of how transparent they are) they look much less colorful and less visible. The way white eyes contrast with orange/gold on v4 was very attractive!
I tried to mash those 2 versions together and ended up with this one:
.qb, _t.qb and _a.qb from left to right. That white alpha on glass bits is 240.240.240 rgb, on image it might look as 255.255.255, just making sure it doesnt look like a mistake :P
With that way fins still have some 'meat' to them, and eyes keep that neat effect. I also moved fin colors a bit closer to yellow so they blend in less with the body, but this is up to you, mapping does give enough difference as is :)
One last thing, im happy you gave it more fins and tail, it looks much more alive! However, it might be better to give them a bit of a curved shape instead of straight diagonals.
Going to set this one back to Active, very much hoping to see if finished :D
Hello!
Sorry for delay.
Your goldfish looks awesome! Great color choices and those eyes are so fishy haha, well done :D
For the contest itself your creation works perfectly, but if you wish to get it approved and hopefully accepted by Dev team id suggest to adjust couple of things.
While the shape you are using is closer to real fish shape, it could be good to make it less busy and more blocky. It might also be nice to make a fin on top less thick, and may be even use some material maps on it, to make it glass. That should enforce overall 'fish' looks.
About coloring, the colors you used are bright clean and contrasting, i love them! However, they seem to be placed in diagonals, which doesnt look all too natural. Were you aiming for scales? It might be better to skip that and make coloring more smooth. Gills are great, but they would stand out more if their color was not used right next to them :P
I ve made a quick edit based on your model and suggestions above (with a sudden tail added, but may be you d like that idea). You dont have to copy it 1:1, but may be it will help you decide on adjustments :)
Going to change status of creation to Active for now, change it back to Review if you upload new version!
