Balance Dracolyte
This build was updated for
April 17, 2017
Dracolyte is half tank, half damge. Its class gem ability's dps climb up slowly as you have to keep on detonating bombs and wait for minions stack up into a burning river. So it's not so suitable for speed farming, but surely suitable for shadow towers. All dracolyte's ability is AOE damage, so it's useful to pull monsters wisely, group them up and maximize dps.
Shadow TowersTankDamage
Notes: About tank: At around 1 million HP, with suitable ally, flasks and emblems, dracolyte can tank U8 shadow tower with ease, and act as a steady second tank in U9 shadow tower. Of course due to no attraction or taunt like professional tanks, it won't be very comfortable for dps teammates.
About dps: group enemy, set bomb, turn to dragon and burn the whole world.
Stat Priority
Notes: Dracolyte's attack speed is fixed like tomb raiser, so avoid it.
MH and MH% because dracolyte has a short attack range therefore always have to face monsters directly. Higher MH means stabler game experience. MH also contributes to the effect of health stealing ally and emblems. It's unclear whether class gem's minions' HP affected by MH. If does, that would be even more useful to stack MH.
ER is for bombs. More bombs = More minions = More damage and better tank
What not listed are Critical Damage and Critical Hit. They are useful and should get built up. It's up to you to keep a balance between tank and dps (that is "MH and MH%" and "CD and CH").

Notes: As Attack Speed is useless, the 4th stats on Hat and Face is kind of boring. I like Movement Speed so I choose them.
The 3rd stats of Face can be Magic Damage but it is only 1794 on 5 star and full perl Stellar, which is kind of ignorabe compared with gems, while MH% will give 140% boost up.
Ally and Flasks
Ally
Gain 2.2% health each time you damage an enemy.
First of all: Prowling Shadow is much cheaper than Samantha (17k vs. 500k when I check Marketplace). These two provides 2.2% health steal, and it's the most tank choice for dracolyte.
Besides, Prefect Penguin provides some dps and some tank (20% MD boost and heal 15% when enemy dies around). And Chronomancer Qubesly provides most dps and some tricky tank (20% MD and reduce cooldown 25%).
It's up to you to choose from these three Allies according to what kind of enemy you are facing.
Flask
DDV is the safest choice especially in high level shadow towers. Elysian Bandolier gives you most emblems and is suitable for easy level.
Surestrike/Arcane + Vampiric: some dps and some tank, very stable.
Surestrike + Arcane: most dps, suitable for easy level or speed farming.
If CH is over 85%, replace surestrike with Evil Eye will be good.
Empowered Gems
Explosive Epilogue is for dps. Stinging Curse and Spirit Surge are for health steal. Pyrodisc gives some benefit to dps and some to health steal. Cubic Curtain and Stunburst are for tanking. It's again up to you to balance those Empowered Gems.
Burning Ward Class Gem
When a Burnt Offering detonates, it spawns a mini Dracolyte minion that attacks enemies for a brief duration.
Explosive Epilogue
Killing enemies causes them to explode.
\n\nThis gem has a cooldown.
Stinging Curse
Dealing damage applies damage-over-time effects to enemies.

About gem choosing:
Before U9 (10k), it's the most urgent to build up PR rather than build stats. So choose the highest PR gem will be most efficient. And then in U9, you can slowly farming good Stellar ones to replace previous ones.
Gems are full of RNG (Random Number Genertator), be patient.
