Yeah, after i looked at your art again, you are probably right with your feeling.
I took some insparation from your work, because i loved it so much! But the idea for my composition came from another picture.
I can show you my mood-board / inspiration-board i made, after i had a rough idea (<- problably heavily influenced by your work) what to draw.

collecting references is important, good job. I also collect a large amount of references before I start work. but you have to be careful not to become similar to that references. but.. yes right, actually these boundaries are ambiguous. i just want to saying this don't let your work remind many people of other work. otherwise, you may be misunderstood even if you are innocent. 
by the way, I believe you will be able to create a work that contains your charm style, just like the one you just uploaded(snowfest 2020) :3
