There's been past memories of what caused the Daughter to turn bad, misunderstooded the Sun goddess when she sacrificed her life to save the world of Trove...aswell kill the daughter's own father..as Darknik haven't always been a crazy master mind.

Before the fighting

Nik saw a beam of light that strucked on Trove's surface..when he came to the area in which the beam strucked..it shocked him, a little girl who was apparently still asleep was protected in some force field, Nik remembered that the child came from the moon, he then was fearful of what would happen if he just leave her be, Nik then said "I can't just leave a child from the sky out in the open...many most likely heard the noise of the crash" so he decided to take then eventually raise the child...until the day came.
