TAKE BACK THE NIGHT

The Neon Nightsky wings are Trove's first craftable wings, introduced with the Neon Nightsky update. Crafting the wings requires finding and using a specific S.O.A.R. tables in order to create one of the recipe's four total components. Upon release, the developers withheld the whereabouts of these special crafting stations, challenging players to work together to determine the location of each.

While neither luck nor real-world cash is required, they are extremely expensive to make. What you don't need in RNG, you'll need in patience and dedication.

TOTAL REQUIRED MATERIALS

ALTERNATE LAYOUTS

When searching for the S.O.A.R. crafting tables, keep in mind that each dungeon/lair location has alternate layouts. The S.O.A.R. tables only spawn in certain versions of the dungeons/lairs you'll be searching for, so it may take you several tries to find the right one. Indicators of 'correct' dungeon/lair layouts are as follows:

  • Treasure Isles (pirate ship): digsite outside.
  • Radiant Ruins (Dark Heart lair): green glass at the bottom.
  • Dragonfire Peaks (floating islands dungeon): green torch in the caldera.
  • Data Spires (floating cube lair): last room will be green.

S.O.A.R. T-1 / V6 FLUX CAPACITOR

The first component is the V6 Flux Capacitor, which requires 5000 Flux to make.

You're looking for the S.O.A.R. T-1, which is located on certain pirate ships in the Treasure Isle, ones that have a digsite outside. Take the first set of stairs that go below deck, but don't go all the way down (if you're surrounded by cannons, you've gone too far). Immediately to your left should be bars. Mine through them to get to the S.O.A.R. T-1.

S.O.A.R. T-2 / ULTRALIGHT FLIGHT CHASSIS

The second component is the Ultralight Flight Chassis, which requires  5000 Crystalized Clouds and 2000 Radiant Shards to make.

Head to the Radiant Ruins using a Sky Portal. You're on the lookout for a Dark Heart lair that has green glass on the bottom. Head up to the top of the structure (where the big cube is), mine your way through the glass, and take the purple portal. Once through, there should be a hole in the floor in the far-right corner. Drop down, and break the glass to reach the S.O.A.R. T-2.

S.O.A.R. T-3 / INFINITY DIAMOND

The third component is the Infinity Diamond, which requires 500 Diamonds (3500 Flux, 100 Primordial Flame, and 2500 Shapestone total) to make.

Find a Dragonfire Peaks biome and locate the three-star dungeon that is made up of islands floating above lava (pictured below, you may need to try multiple maps to get the dungeon to spawn). Go to the altar directly underneath the giant center island. Looking down into the caldera, you should be able to see a ledge with a black-and-red decoration; jump down to it. From that ledge, looking out across the lava, there will be a green torch visible through a single-block opening in the wall. No torch, no S.O.A.R. Hop across the lava and go through the hole to get to the S.O.A.R. T-3.

S.O.A.R. T-4 / A.I.-ENHANCED GYROSCOPE

The fourth component is the A.I.-Enhanced Gyroscope, which requires 1000 Robotic Salvage to make.

This part takes you to the Date Spires biome, where you'll be searching for the single-star lair that is three circular platforms that lead up to a floating cube. Go through the lair as usual. The S.O.A.R. T-4 is in the last room, mixed in with other green decorations and hidden behind a line of spikes.

CRAFTING THE WINGS

All you need to craft the Neon Nightsky wings is a [Adventure's Crafting Bench] and the four components that the recipe calls for. Select the wings (under the 'Wings' subsection), click craft, and try not to cry as a lot of in-game wealth transforms into the game's ultimate symbol of status and dedication.
